Whats up with the random logout.
The cookie won't save for me. Chrome won't even store the password, or ask to remember it.
Chrome refuses to save passwords whenever I use it. But the random logout thing happened to me a few days ago. It wouldn't even let me sign in, so I just deleted all the cookies for Facepunch and it got to working again.
i am a dumb nigger
What are the exact limits on a password for Facepunch? I changed my password a few months back due to the PSN hacking and the first password I tried was accepted but then I couldn't use it to login. Was that due to it being too long (62 characters) or because it had unicode characters?
That shouldn't be the case as they're hashed in the database. [editline]26th June 2011[/editline]
Was anyone else prompted to change their passwords? Has that feature always been around?
Built into vBulletin [editline]26th June 2011[/editline]
Sorry for quoting myself to post this again, but is it possible to turn this off or something?
Not unless you have access to FP's code.
Password is 100 days old. This is actually pretty neat with all the hacking lately. Thanks garry!
Password was 1668 days old. However, i must admit that I typed the same again.
That shouldn't be the case as they're hashed in the database.
Interesting. I had copy+pasted my password both when I changed it and immediately afterwards when I logged out and went to log back in. I couldn't log in and had to reset my password.
Whats up with the random logout.
Deleting all the cookies made by Facepunch and then relogging fixed it for me.
Anyone that set their password to the same password they had before they were asked to reset should go back and change it to something new so this shit doesn't happen to them in the future
A rocket man: can you post here A rocket man: http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1093741-Ask-Us-About-The-Forums-v14-GDKTT/page34 A rocket man: ask why the fuck can't I login with the password that I got when I reset it A rocket man: and why the fuck isn't FP hiding the password as you type it in
And added 2way login for my Gmail account.
Tons of 500 errors, and are we on nginx now?
However, I did enable Steam guard again, Disabled it a month ago, because it kept saying my computer wasn't recognized.
From what I've seen, if you clear your cookies you'll have to get the code from your e-mail again.
Anyone that set their password to the same password they had before they were asked to reset should go back and change it to something new so this shit doesn't happen to them in the future
It should be set up so if you change your password to the same thing, it autobans you
Tons of 500 errors, and are we on nginx now?
No we're sitting in front of cloudfront which uses nginx
Anyone that set their password to the same password they had before they were asked to reset should go back and change it to something new so this shit doesn't happen to them in the future
This sentence is way too long
Eh, could someone explain to me why can't I log in using chrome? When I changed my password as it asked, it also logged me out and I couldn't log back in. I tried using firefox and it works just fine, but on chrome, the log in stuff boxes don't seem to be functioning properly. When I click on it, the "user name" text doesn't dissapear, I have to erase it manually and anything I type there stays gray and not black like it should be. The password box doesn't hide the password as I type it either.

I disabled some addons and it's working now. I guess one of them was blocking that script thing.
Why am I not gold any longer? I was asked to change my password because it expired, and now I'm not gold any longer. [editline]26th June 2011[/editline] Ah, it went back after I verified my e-mail.
Why the fuck won't FP keep me logged in?
-snip-
I have a question, why is it that my account keeps logging out?
Clear all cookies associated with Facepunch and login. This'll fix your random logout issues.
-snip-
Clear your cookies if you're getting logged out, you have old auto login cookies stuck in there that are broken since you changed passwords.
Thanks
nevermind it works now
