Golds and mods can hide their online status.
Golds and mods can hide their online status.
I didn't know golds could do that. Interesting.

Is it possible for a moderator to ban garry? Not that you'd ever do it, and he can unban himself easily but just wondering
Is it possible for a moderator to ban garry? Not that you'd ever do it, and he can unban himself easily but just wondering
I doubt it. Most sites/servers that used admin and moderator positions have limits to who it can ban. Members who are already banned, other mods of equal or greater rank, etc.

can garry ban garry?
can garry ban garry?
Permissions would probably allow it, but I'm sure there is something to check if they are an admin
can garry ban garry?
I don't think so. [editline]5th July 2011[/editline]
I doubt it. Members who are already banned, other mods of equal or greater rank, etc.
If banned users are banned, the new ban will just overwrite the old ban. As far as moderators, I don't think there are any levels of moderators.

Although Dragon is the lead mod.
Although Dragon is the lead mod.
Lead moderator just being a title. According to vBulletin, he's just the same as the rest of the moderators.
Lead moderator just being a title. [editline]5th July 2011[/editline] In addition, why were section moderators and super moderators merged?
Derg is my lord and master, I must obey~
In addition, why were section moderators and super moderators merged?
Eh, what's the point of limiting their powers to certain sections when they can just handle all of the forums. Better than having to ask another section's mod if they can ban someone because you can't in that section.
Wouldn't it give each forum a more centralized form of authority/leadership though?
Mods are assigned to forums, look on the mod page They can moderate anywhere though
Wouldn't it give each forum a more centralized form of authority/leadership though?
Why would that matter? Mods still tend to stay in their sections and contribute (like Daijitsu), they just have global powers to help out with other things.

This screws up the display and Opera, and provides no benefits to any other browser (tested). [editline]5th July 2011[/editline] While I'm at it, to fix the chat's display issues in IE, add a doctype to the top of the HTML. This should do:
<!doctype html>
[editline]5th July 2011[/editline] Without the doctype, IE9 displays the page in Quirks (IE6) mode. By appending that to the top of the file, you are telling the browser to use the latest and greatest rendering engine it has available.
