I have an awesome, and free, vinyl record collection. WARNING:Big Pictures

First off, I hope this is the right place for this. I was going to post in the CC section, but this isn't my art. I was thinking fast threads, but this is neither fast, nor a post your. I'm also not here to sell these. So I figured it "didn't fit anywhere else"
So my mom has this thing about starting projects she doesn't finish. She has a realtors license, nail-tek license, almost a hair cutting license. She bought a rock tumbler, a glass blowing kit, a t-shirt screening thing, and she's NEVER painted my room all the way (I've always had discolored corners and edges.)
Well a while ago she decided we should cover my room in old, cheap, vinyl records.
The idea being that one wall (which is more contiguous) would have the actual vinyl, the other walls could have the covers.

Well, she started looking at garage sales, but nobody sold the shitty records. They only sold the ones they thought were worth something. Eventually she collected some from friends and my grandma, until she got bored. Well she looked in the back room the other day and noticed a huge pile of dusty old records. I had completely forgotten about these. I didn't even look at them when she gave them to me. OBVIOUSLY if they were free, they were shitty, but I was wrong. I had a friend over last night, and he saw my records, so I went through them and even played some. Then I came across a gold mine of GOOD ALBUMS. These are in no particular order.

Not a single dust particle on that vinyl. Those paper covers are useful for something.

This is the one I was listening to while I took all these photos. It came with a complimentary footprint.

This was tucked into the back in black cover. It's Holy Diver, by DIO.

I have some more. Is that "Joanie Geggains THIN THIGHS, HIPS, & STOMACH"
Yes. Yes it is.

My wall. There's normally a Beatles album there, but I took it down to take pictures.
So, anyone else have a some hidden musical treasures? I almost let these mold away in a wet laundry room.
Wow.
Unless you have something to play them with, I would sell them. They could be worth something.

priceless to me
Those are priceless to the right people...
Nice collection there, Maybe your mom was onto something...
I love vinyls. I have a collection of about 50+. Got Led Zeppelin IV in there too. Nice collection.
I would kill for that White Album.
cool i guess
Awesome indeed
I also have a bunch that are only worth the material they're made from, and I used to take those and try to make homemade record players.
And yes, I have a record player.
Wow, I wish I was you. I only have a few albums, but I listen to them often.
Wow, kudos on the collection man - the variation is fantastic. I must say the Asia and Rainbow Brite ones are definitely pretty nice looking art-wise.
Got yourself a nice little treasure trove.
If i were you, i'd get them framed or something and make some awesome wall decorations :v:
We were planning on making a connect four style frame for them, so I could just slide them in without doing any harm to them, but like I said, mom never finishes anything.
You actually have a few decent ones in there.
So jealous.

then do it yourself
My parents have boxes of vinyl records. Might go listen to some Blue Oyster Cult now.
edit: much obliged OP, for reminding me.
omg sample heaven
I only have one vinyl record, myself. It is (allegedly) a guy playing Christmas Carols on either the trumpet or the saxaphone. I've never listened to it, because I won it in a Thanksgiving Bingo game (the prizes were gift wrapped) and I don't have a record player.
But nice collection you've got there. Get some turn tables and start scratching.
Just kidding. Don't fuck them up.
I feel like a horrible person for listening to some of my records, but the music sounds so much better that way.
No "Philosophy of the World" by The Shaggs? I am disappoint.
In that pile someone was a ripped in half drawn over beatles cardboard cover. I put a cheapo record in there, taped it shut and went my friends house and told him he could have the record if was nice to me all day. Then I snapped the bitch in half and threw in the river. He cried about how horrible I made him feel for days.
So jealous.
My exact emotion at this moment. Moreso envious, however. Dear OP, listen to your records, it is the least you can do to admire them.
I listen to them a lot, now that I know what I have. I was listening to ACDC while taking the pictures.
*scrolls down* pfft la BAM LED ZEPPLIN MOTHERFUCKER
Van Halen, I approve.
ive got ~200 vinyls just sitting in a closet, cant play them because the pin on the record player is broken.
Best one I found so far is Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd.
A Flock of Seagulls shouldn't be under good music. Look at them
