5 banger Squier Jazz w/active electronics.
Teles are sooo nice compared to strats. The strat is so overused.
This. I'm in love with Teles and the sound they produce. Not much of a Strat fan though.
Jaguars are nice too.
My current guitar: Gibson '68 Custom.

Pretteh...
I'm planning on buying a Les Paul to when I got the money, but I don't know which kind of Les Paul i should buy.
Guys, I plan on getting a mexican Strat soon, which ones are the best base to get that Gilmourish tone? I was thinking about either a Standard or a Classic 70's, maple fingerboard.
I really don't think you can choose a guitar in that pricerange for a gilmourish tone, you'd have to buy amps, effects and probably new pickups to get that good gilmour sound.
trust me the valvetronix is gonna start disappointing you a about a year into buying it (probably less).
if you play heavy metal and shit i guess its a good choice for the time being. However, if you like a little more "dialed back" style, go immediately for the fender champion 600.

there's only one control (a volume knob). If you keep it at 1-2, it'll give a nice clean, but if you start cranking the knob you'll get a sweet blues burn. It's a similar price point to the valvetronix; 250 for the fender as opposed to the 200 (i think) for the vox.
If anyone here wants to start off with blues/rock guitar and wants a kick ass amp its this one.
One control? That sounds stupid, really. I) want to be able to play all sorts of music.

I want it just as a base, plan on adding new pickups etc.

The volume knob is pretty much also a gain knob. Besides, when using valves you usually use some pedals too.
After switching from my old Line 6 15W to my 15W Fender amp, I must say it's waaaaaaaaay better
Fuck Line 6, I want my 100 dollars back
end of discussion
Wow man that really sucks, how much did it cost?
About $330, not much, but it's a pain. I'm going to call them up tomorrow and see what I can do about it.

Any thoughts?
Watch out before you sting yourself with it.
And what kind of genre do you play?
That's a bit obvious :x

Gibson explorers really aren't that nice to play. Other explorers though are awesome. The Gibson is still awesome, just not first choice if you're looking for ease of use.

Luckily flying V's aren't used at all and as obscure as a Spongebob Ukulele.
