I started with bass a couple of months ago, bought it from my brother A cheap fender jazz-copy I really want a Fender Precision or this:
Haha, I love the design on that even though I tend to dislike it when basses (and guitars for that matter) aren't neutral looking.
Get the Rust in Peace Dean, way cooler than the United Abominations one.
Way cooler if the person looking at it is a Megadeth fan tbh. Not worth it to me, unless you're buying it as a fan and gonna play megadeth covers on it all day
I have a ESP Ax260 Epic For playing metal
Wow, that thing is ugly.
I find any guitar with pointy edges horrible, they're just not my thing. do want.
That one also has pointy edges :v: And is also ugly as hell.
fender strats (dunno about squier) are great, you can play any style (apart from maybe the heaviest of metal) on one and it will sound great. i don't want to get my own guitar because i love my dad's 70s strat that he's given me until i get my own edit: in fact that's why my dad got it originally. he played in a metal band in the 80s, but he played other stuff too when he wasn't doing band stuff, so he got a guitar that played good and sounded good no matter what he played on it.
That's the exact reason i want one. Funnily enough, i also tried out my dad's 70's stratocaster last weekend; it was so fucking awesome. I asked him to leave it to me in his will.

Probably going to get an Ibanez soon. Any recommendations ? Mainly going to be playing progressive rock/metal
Probably going to get an Ibanez soon. Any recommendations ? Mainly going to be playing progressive rock/metal
Ibanez UV777
Way cooler if the person looking at it is a Megadeth fan tbh. It just feels like you're trying to be them, not yourself.
Probably going to get an Ibanez soon. Any recommendations ? Mainly going to be playing progressive rock/metal
Only Ibanez I have is an S470. I went for the 470 rather than some of the other S series because of the HSH pickup setup. I like being able to have a nice variety of sounds. The humbuckers can split and combine with the single coil, effectively giving a sound of 2 singles. Definately reccomend this guitar for metal and rock. The necks great for playing fast aswell as everything else.
Getting either this bad boy or Mustaine's United Abominations Dean what do you say guys?
This one, since I'm a metallica fan. Also, doesn't mustain play ESP...?
This one, since I'm a metallica fan. Also, doesn't mustain play ESP...?
Not anymore.
rickenbackers fuckin rule.
rickenbackers fuckin rule.
I don't like 'em
I don't like 'em
don't talk shit about rickenbacker
I shall talk shit about what I wish.
Real guitarists don't play B.C Rich guitars with a crazy shape, unless your Kerry King, but he's a god on this earth so he can do as he wishes.
I, too, think pointy guitars are fucking stupid. I'm just saying warlocks are a tad less overused than V's.
I have to convince my dad to give me permission to buy the ESP M-I, I even have more than enough money, he just won't let me buy it. It is in my humble opinion the most sexy guitar ever made, It only has one pickup but it's the best pickup in the world and I only ever use one, and it's the simplicity that I love. IT IS PERFECT. too bad it's £1,250
Why doesn't he let you buy it? Is it because it costs a bucktooth?
Good thrrdd [editline]07:51PM[/editline]
That's an LTD.
god I couldn't imagine living your life thinking you know what kind of guitar you have and then some fag on Facepunch completely tells you up.
Why doesn't he let you buy it? Is it because it costs a bucktooth?
yeah my dad says it'll be just as good as a £400 guitar, which is what he wants me to spend, maximum, he's one of those dads who doesn't like spending money, the sort of dad who will park the car a mile away from where we're going just to save a pound or two on parking. Stuff like that. I just think it's unfair especially as I made the effort to save the money.
Well, at one point I'm with him. The sound doesn't matter THAT much when you're just practising at home.

Dean never disappoint as i heard
