Awesome, how does it play?
2 grand well spent lettuce. sl2h is at the top of my guitar wishlist.
1 grand actually :D
to answer questions, it was made in 2003 but didn't have an owner until 2005, and it plays SO NICELY, the bass strings are so smooth, and it can do the best cleans I've ever heard, even on my not so great amp. The sound is never muddy or fuzzy at all, and it's really easy to slide around the fretboard. I love it.
You do realize that Epiphone does not make ripoffs right?
A ripoff implies it's unlicensed, and Epiphone is OWNED by Gibson.
Epiphone makes authentic Les Pauls, they just don't come with high end hardware out of the box.
What? That's what I said. lern2read.

Too bad you are only about 9 posts late.
HELP HELP SOMETHING JUST HAPPENED. I WAS TUNING MY GUITAR DOWN, AND THEN SUDDENLY ALL OF MY STRINGS WERE SUPER TIGHT, AND I LOOK DOWN TO FIND THAT MY BRIDGE IS ALL BENT AND WRONG (like if I was pulling that whammy bar ALOT) and I don't know how why it happened or how to fix it. WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED?
[editline]07:44PM[/editline]
Ah no I fixed it. I just completely forgot how a floyd rose worked, you need a balance between string tension and bridge springs, so when the string tension is too low, the bridge strings will win and pull the bridge back, therefore fucking the whole thing up.
I was about to inform on how the Floyd Rose tuning works, but then I read the second part of your post...

you should keep the tension even on any guitar or you're going to fuck up not only the bridge but the neck too.
So er, how would I go about tuning it two steps down? Without messing it up I mean.
Unlock the nuts and center the fine tuners, use the headstock tuners, lock the nuts, then use the fine tuners.
But that's what I did before, and it fucked shit up.
[editline]09:32PM[/editline]
I'm worried that if I loosen the spring tension screws too much, they'll come out and REALLY fuck shit up. Also if I want to down tune, I do have to loosen the spring screws right?

jesus, what song requires you to go into fucking C tuning?
Captain Morgans Revenge :v:
I've never down tuned a Floyd Rose, so I did some looking and found this off the Ultimate-Guitar forums:
When drop tuning a floyd rose, unlock all the nuts and tune you're low E string to roughly an Eb if you have low gauge strings as sometime dropping it full will break the high E string, after that go upto the high E and tune back down to an E, B string...G string...ect. Until back down to you're low E string. Tune that fully down now and keep going back to you're highest strings and tune them back down to their respected notes. (Tuning the low E string down to D or lower causes added tension on the other strings causing them to go sharp) A good 4 or 5 times through usually does the trick and the tension will be equal.

jesus, what song requires you to go into fucking C tuning?
I know a couple. Club Foot by Kasabian is the main one I can think of, but you can play that on a bass too.
Bah I give up, though I'm still having trouble to get it back to normal tuning, it's not even that difficult, but it's fustrating, and it takes ages. I'l just use my good old Ibanez to play downtuned songs.

Boom.
[editline]06:01PM[/editline]
Or you can just screw around with it until you get the tuning to work.

Dream Theater or Machine Head, to name two artists that use C or some near equivalent (Machine Head plays in drop-C or drop-B ALL the time, DT has a whole album in C-standard).
a lot of newer metal bands use C or Drop C in their songs
Les paul custom #303,742 of that model made. Gibson not Epiphone.
2 Crafters acoustics and my first guitar which was a Fender Squire O:!
No pics cus i'm lazy :D
a lot of newer metal bands use C or Drop C in their songs
I've been using C standard for months now, it actually feels a little better to play when it comes to bending D:
Ooh I found a good way to down tune and then go back to normal easily, jam a bunch of picks behind the tremolo, tune it down, there. Then when you're done, tune it halfway back up, take out the picks, and tune it the rest of the way back to normal. I'm so creative.
