Hey guys I got a problem with my G string. It seems to go out of tune often.
It buzzes on the nut, if I push it down lightly it stops, also sometimes when I tune it I hear a "ping" sound and it goes up a few cents, only to go down again after a bit of playing.
It only happens on that one string...

It's either the nut or the string is slipping out of the tuning peg. This is a good way to lock strings for people who don't have locking tuners.
jesus, what song requires you to go into fucking C tuning?
I barely play alot of songs, and i can play two, Stone the Crow, and Walk.
Theres two.
Thinkin about getting the Epiphone Les paul Custom. "The SG with 3 humbuckers" Is it worth it?
I know a couple. Club Foot by Kasabian is the main one I can think of, but you can play that on a bass too.
I love playing that song.

That looks like when Steiner uses Armour Break in FF9. I can;t find a screenshot to show anyone though.
What do I do? I don't practice because I suck, and It makes me angry. But I suck because I don't practice. I think I just CAN'T become good at it. Like you need a knack for it. But I want to be good so badly. :(
Maybe you are playing stuff that is too hard for you, giving the feeling that you suck. So I would say learn something easier. Never attempt stuff that is out of your league because you will only fail and maybe give up.
I jumped right into playing Thrash Metal, and I haven't given up yet, infact I've already figured out quite a few songs by ear...

You put a triforce on your guitar?
Awesome.
Been playing for about a year. I've got an Ibanez GSA-60 (god damn it took me a minute to remember it). I'm okay I guess, been learning the intro to one up to the darkness bridge, I can't strum fast enough and I don't have a clue how to. I don't have a clue what song to learn, I want to learn a metal or rock one that doesn't require any awkward tuning as my tuner sort of sucks for that.
Hardly visit this section, forgot it was here. (bar the visit to the "Is music going downhill?")

I have a Ibanez GSA-60, it's my tuned down a step guitar, it's also my art-ish guitar. First it was blue, like in your pic, then it was

Changed the bridge pickup to a dimarzio mo joe, and scalloped the frets 15 - 22.

For alt picking movement should come from the wrist and elbow, and remember don't tense up to much as it will wear you out faster.
Cool, thanks. Know of any good alt picking tutorials?
Oh, perfect, I have a slightly guitar-related question.
I don't know if anyone here uses Guitar Pro, but it's a really great tab program that I use to learn songs.
However, I'm trying to learn to play Sweet Child o Mine all the way through right now, but since the guitar starts right away, I have trouble hitting space and then getting my hands ready to play right away.
Does anyone know how to add a delay before Guitar Pro starts playing?
Also, my guitar:

there a button that you can press somewhere towards the top (next to the metronome button) that counts off 4 beats before it starts
very helpful

Yes.
And I love it.
Holy fuck, just sent in my MiM strat for customizing, hope it comes out sounding great.
On another note, I'm learning basic music theory from a teacher at a nearby shop. I didn't get to ask him, so maybe you guys'll know.
Can a musical scale be used to find the key of a song, or?
I'm playing around with learning acoustic, too bad I don't have my own. :c Oh well, I'll look at guitar center next time I'm around one.
Galneryus is pretty good.. I haven't listened to them in a while
This is he song I'm learning right now though

Oh God, I'm playing around with my guitar again, after a month and a half of nothing but bass - it's so small. D:
