Set me up for the Myconid yo
did you ever finish that bullywug? send me the finished version through PM, i'll add you to the list just to make sure nobody takes the myconid. i'm putting dibs on the rakshasa btw.
Did a second yeti: bigger hands and feet, more simian face and posture, and truer to the description. [t]http://i.imgur.com/So3Mj4Y.jpg[/t] I think the first one I did was better technically and unless there are further suggestions I'll probably go with that.
Your art looks like Stephen Gammell's.
finished my rakshasa.

This is so cool. I'd like to try one, but I don't really know many of the DnD monsters besides Kobolds and Orcs.

Started on the Fungusman He looks kind of depressed
Started on the Fungusman He looks kind of depressed
holy shit that looks perfect already.
Started on the Fungusman He looks kind of depressed
I would suggest making him thinner and taller. Right now he looks exactly like the mushroom people in Dark Souls. The Myconid seems to generally be depicted as more of a thin, long creature than a big, round one.
@menter, thanks! so is your tiger bro! mindflayer started: [t]http://s2.postimg.org/gmebcadwn/mdf.jpg[/t]

I will draw a lanky one as well
Gonna attempt a Verbeeg, if that's all right
Gonna attempt a Verbeeg, if that's all right
added to the list.
Started to sketch the Verbeeg I went completely off the description from the website Chronische gave me, so let me know if this doesn't work E: WIP, sorry for being a major amateur
use a bigger brush, you're doing a bunch of small strokes while you should be worried about creating large patches of light & defining (rendering) them later. [editline]11th July 2014[/editline] also i'm not really getting the sense of scale from him! try making it so we can see his legs, or even better... go with the first sketch you made. it's a lot more dynamic. you could add a fleeing adventurer next to that and it would sell the scale a lot better.
also you didn't go completely off. verbeegs are thin giants, that looks fine. i would just say give him some random patches of leather & maybe some armor plates or w/e.
Something to give it a sense of scale would be nice. Maybe holding like, a quarter of a cow in his hand or something?
I'd like to give Hook Horror a shot. This seems like a fun way to practice.
snip, i'm too embarrassed to keep those on here
God it's like 'why I wish I knew how to draw' the thread. Time to try learning again.
Current WIP. Learning as I go along, any help is appreciated.

I know this still looks pretty meh, but I learned some important things about photoshop in the process.
You should make it a night-picture, that'll let you work more with shades and I think your colouring style would compliment that a lot. :) Work those extremes, maybe even add a slight dash of lighter blue for those bright spots?
Those people are huge as well, unless those trees are just small. In your illustration the giant is about 2-3 times the size of a human. Oak trees as an example are 18-25 meters tall, 9-13 times the size of a human.
