If the aliens are intelligent, they will be like "This planet doesn't deserve to live after all these messages." Then lob a meteor at the capital of China because they think it is the biggest/most powerful.
my addition
Never gonna' make you cry Never gonna say goodbye! Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you!

In my opinion it's one of the most classic memes. [editline]04:03AM[/editline] Kindly get the fuck out of my thread if you cannot comprehend the word contribute.
Take your bandwagon meme shit back to 4chan and stop pretending you're a moderator
-snip- didnt see the post above me edit: my message will be: "party at my house"
His inferior mind thinks I used a meme to sound funny. I'm merely sharing some internet culture with possibly another civilization.
hello i am vladimirputin people make fun of me so i riposte with words that nobody actually uses in their daily vernacular to counterpose the amount of suck i am radiating from my digits
His inferior mind thinks I used a meme to sound funny. I'm merely sharing some internet culture with possibly another civilization.
Why would they care?
Did a vehicle come from somewhere out there just to land in the Andes? Was it round and did it have a motor or was it something different?
Zappa seems to fit quite well in this situation...
They are screening messages ....so dont write anything stupid
I sent the following message:
Where tha' Gliesian women at?
I hope they have a language that can't be rendered by human vocal cords.
Someone send a series of prime numbers so they don't think we're total retards. But don't use actual digits. Use some kind of symbols - a physical representation of the numbers.
Someone send a series of prime numbers so they don't think we're total retards. But don't use actual digits. Use some kind of symbols - a physical representation of the numbers.
Will do. I will use groups of periods.
"Why the fuck are those Earthlings sending dots? Jesus christ. Enslave the strong ones, turn the rest into fuel"
Funny. The Russians end up being there to intercept the message before it reaches the planet. Then they'll laught at our silly letters, and tax the hell out of Earth.
Will do. I will use groups of periods.
Use colons to save you time. 2 : 3 :. 5 ::. 7 :::. 11 :::::. Then again, an alien civilisation may look at that and try to derive some other meaning for it and overlook the obvious...
The chances of finding alien life? Slim, but possible. But what if they can't understand binary? That would suck. But if they could, that would be a huge change. On the down side if we found a highly advanced, war-crazed planet, then it was nice knowing you all.
The signal is going to be in code already, sending a message of periods won't help.
The signal is going to be in code already, sending a message of periods won't help.
Sure it will, when they discover a pattern of code repeated many times with breaks corresponding to the first 10 prime numbers.
I stole the idea from that shitty movie with that chick in it.
Wouldn't it make more sense to transfer it in analog? So the receiver doesn't have to have such specific equipment.
Fuck everyone else, I thought the meme end was pretty funny at the end of a huge serious thread OP
Sure it will, when they discover a pattern of code repeated many times with breaks corresponding to the first 10 prime numbers.
And fuck, you've got alot of posts
Sure it will, when they discover a pattern of code repeated many times with breaks corresponding to the first 10 prime numbers.
Be a dick and go to like the 50th prime number. That'll piss 'em off.
That's almost 500kilobytes, not megabytes.
Sorry, my mistake. (I'm having a huge-ass stomach ache which is distracting as shit)
Well, if there were, and I bet there aren't any there, the alien might think that because of the mass of information sent, and the fact that it's not some small message, that it may be important, instruction, languages, or something.... Think how pissed you'd be to have a rosetta stone handed to you that only helps you spell old earth internet memes and punctuation. :colbert:
"Why the fuck are those Earthlings sending dots? Morpheous Rex. Enslave the strong ones, turn the rest into fuel"
There, I fixed your exclamation there.
On the down side if we found a highly advanced, war-crazed planet, then it was nice knowing you all.
Yeah... you know, like earth, but called Gliese 581d.
I made my contribution to the data stream.
Greetings to the inhabitants of this world. We humans are a complex species, many of us are afraid of the unknown, yet many of us seek reality's unbound truths.
This entire thing, including sending numbers, even with groups of dots is all conditional if they also use ASCII, let alone binary. We'd have a better chance of sending out analogue sound signals, but even then, all they will be receiving (if they have the means to capture radio waves) are a bunch of noise. In fact, even the most directed radio waves break down into indistinguishable noise after about 2 light-years. It's a rule of physics, not technology limitations. There's a lot of interference in space.
Back in my day we sent messages to space by using radio waves. We also did it manually by ourself by firing them in catapults.
Dear Balthamok, WILL YOU PEOPLE STOP SENDING US ANNOYING MESSAGES!? WE GET IT ALREADY! YES, HELLO. FUCK, LEAVE US ALONE!!
I asked them if we could get our cows back now.
Dear aliens, Could we please get our cows back now? Sincerely, Earthlings
Someone send a message with the binary. :3:
