too bad that they'll decline that message.

Rob Scheider is a stapler!
I was gonna type: "We're coming to get you, you bastards." but I can't be arsed to register.
It's a hoax site...
Sent message "how large are your wieners?
Indeed, that should be done, since the Glieseans might have a different numeric system from our accepted Base-10 system, derived from the ten digits of our hands. The Mayan civilisation used a Base-20 system, whilst the Sumerians used a Base-60. But if we look at Earth's dominant numeric system, based on our ten hand-based digits, we'd probably assume that the dominant numeric system of a planetary civilisation would be based on how many fingers/thumbs they have, and might even take into account the number of arms they have. That means that their dominant numeric system could be anything from Base-1 (if they're worms) to Base-500 (if they're Shub-Niggurath). But this is assuming that there actually ARE Glieseans on Gliese 581d.
Regardless of what base they use two apples can only be divided into one set of two, or two sets of one.

[editline]01:16AM[/editline]
Lol, i was reading this on the messages
"Hi from Earth, hoping to get to meet you someday and share music, stories and ideas. If you come accross Twilight on the airwaves, ignore please - it's awful!'
My message to the all knowing aliens:
"Hey, my balls itch. Could you send someone down to scratch them?
Probably also going to send this:
"If you abduct me I call shotgun!"
rofl rick rollin aliens
I put "We are a militant aggressive race if you actually exist and understand this avoid our planet at all costs!"
We're gonna kick their asses.
To which they would probably reply: "Come and get us! Oh wait, you're way over there, and we're here. So much for the olive branch, we'll be sending self-replicating robots to your system to do our dirty work and have you exterminated within the millennium."
Yeah.
Well, since some have already sent our galactic position, how about all the most abundant elements on the periodic table while you're at it? They might take interest.
I'll be worried about it when we can actually get to the fuckin' planet

Earth 2.0.
But without the pollution.
At least not immediately. :frown:

But we can't even get there
I'll be worried about talking to them when I (I meaning mankind) can get there
They filter these? Bullshit! If they did, then idiotic messages like this would never get through:

Yo dawg, I heard you liked spaceships, so I put a ship on your ship. That way you can fly while you fly!
I want a smart brain~

Otherwise shit just might hit the fan.
How do we even know if Gliese 581d is even there anymore?
We could be sending our messages into a large, empty portion of space for all we know.

I didn't know planets spontaneously combusted.
Oh wow, judging by all the other messages, the Gliesians will have a hard time figuring out the english language.

Because it's only about 20 light years away and it's unlikely that anything cataclysmic enough to destroy an entire planet could happen within 20 years (like say a supernova) that wouldn't have any forewarning (because if its star went nova we'd have started to detect weird energy outputs and shit by now and its size would change and whatnot prior to it happening).
Ever hear of rule 34? FUCKING RUN!
Yup.
Even if there was sentient, intelligent life there, our language and writing would be the equivalent of Voynich manuscript to them.

I hope they send some sort of Rosetta Stone with it...
Or we could send our own kinda Rosetta Stone for our language.

if gliese 581d got destroyed this very second from a black hole or something then we wont know that it was destroyed because it takes light 20 years from gliese 581d to reach earth so it means if it got destroyed right now we would know 20 years in the future
I feel sorry for the amounts of Goatse that will be sent to the people of Gliese 581d.
