I thought I would run this with 30 FPS on Hardcore but holy moly, I run this with 60 FPS!
What card?
How is the cloak? Is it actually invisible or just less visible? Also I love the way they did the movement. Shaking hud and arms make it feel so much more fluid.
The cloak is not as effective as in Crysis 1. You can clearly see the outlines of the player in green, if you're close by that is. If you're far away, you wont see shit. The game is also pretty fast paced so that helps.
This is what appears to be a nano tech modern warfare type game.. it is awesome!
"Every game with guns running around and shooting is like call of dooty hurrr bandwagon" go play a shitty indie game and jizz yourself or something, looks nothing like call of duty to me
It plays pretty much exactly like Call of Duty, except for the nanosuit, which is only a minor game modifier.
It plays pretty much exactly like Call of Duty, except for the nanosuit, which is only a minor game modifier.
"minor game modifier"? The best player on the map is also the one that manages his suit the best. Your whole attack strategy is based upon using suit powers. I'd hardly call it a minor modifier.
It plays pretty much exactly like Call of Duty, except for the nanosuit, which is only a minor game modifier.
uhm, the game is almost entirely based around the nanosuit
There are 3 profiles you can chose from; deal with it.
No.
More than 2 reload animations? Yay, I expected that mag-to-mag release animation to be the default.
uhm, the game is almost entirely based around the nanosuit
The single-player, sure, but it's pretty easy to run 20k/4d in a multiplayer match without changing the suit functions at all.
The single-player, sure, but it's pretty easy to run 20k/4d in a multiplayer match without changing the suit functions at all.
Sure since EVERYBODY seems to be doing just that.
I think it's kinda cool how you have randomized reloading animations. I haven't seen those in a game before and I thinks it's a pretty cool feature, nobody in the real world except for experts can reload their gun in the same way and speed every single time.
The way it works is you reload faster when you're not using a suit power (armor or cloak) and the fast "tactical" one is used when no power is active.
looks like a pimped out cod
Demo's already been released on the 360, this video is nothing new. And don't act like graphics play into it, over Youtube you can't tell the difference between 360 and PC graphics.
That is not entirely true. Between a PC's graphics and a 360's graphics, Crytek had to use different techniques to get the most optimal experience out of the two. I remember looking in the leaked thread where someone posted the graphics between High on PC and 360, though it didn't look too much different from the big things, the little things like railing patterns and ground detail made the game a whole difference. The only thing YouTube shits on videos is the frame rate and you don't need 60 fps to experience beauty, heck you just need one rendering frame to see the differences in everything. I have the Crysis 2 crack, i'm looking through the tools to see if I can find what I was talking about above. (User was banned for this post ("Warez" - BANNED USER))
Looks like future CoD with higher jumping for 720 no scopes.

PC Very High graphics, smooth lighting, more detail on models, textures improved, and for some reason AI even though I had it activated in the 360 screenshot. I run a GT210 on the lowest forced settings. Hush if you're going to prove me that the 360 graphics are the same. I bet someone with a much better build than I have can make this game even more beautiful.
I want to know what the definition of a "COD clone" is these days... hmm.. lets see... every first person shooter that comes out that isnt battlefield/duke nukem/bulletstorm derp derp derp!!!!1

Seems rather similar to cod. Not saying it's a clone, but it's very similar.
"Every game with guns running around and shooting is like call of dooty hurrr bandwagon" go play a shitty indie game and jizz yourself or something, looks nothing like call of duty to me
They brought in unnecessary kill streaks and perks, both ripped off of call of duty to appeal to their audience. They ditched the really amazing balanced/unique Crysis Wars weapon system and went with the mainstream rank up get new shit system. They made the maps even smaller than CoD's as well. The only thing that separates this from CoD is the nano suit which granted is a huge positive game play changer, however it has also been dumbed down in this game since the last.
I want to know why everyone always associates levels and unlocks with CoD Battlefield 2 and 2142 had them wayyy before CoD 4 came out.
Well It's nice to see that I can Not pirate it to play it.
Just played a lot more. As soon as you get in the groove of using the modes of the suit; you will do much better.
What card?
ATI Radeon HD 5870
Killstreaks Getting xp for all kinds of "special" kills Levels and loadouts. Seems rather similar to cod. Not saying it's a clone, but it's very similar.
It's a CoD clone except it's balanced and does not induce rage. That doesn't mean it's fun though.
It's a CoD clone except it's balanced and does not induce rage. That doesn't mean it's fun though.
Apart from the fact it has guns it's fuck all like COD. Stop comparing things to that piece of shit
Well at least it will help keep my sanity until next week when DA2 comes out and then a few more weeks I can play Crysis 2 than Portal 2 . Next few weeks are gonna rock
uhm, the game is almost entirely based around the nanosuit
Hardly, while I agree that nanosuit is what Crysis is, the maximum armor will prove to be the most used and most useful stance, I'm pretty sure of that. Not to mention the efficiency with your weapon will play a more major role too, like always. I'm not sure but how does the switching in between the nanosuit stances work? Is it any automated?
"minor game modifier"?
Spot on!
Looks wayyy more fluid on the PC
i have a 16 mb video card ultra edition intel video tecnology, 128 mb of ram standalone connection version 10.8, 800 hz of megapower on this baby and 3 cd-room lectors 2x prototype editions, will i be able to run it at max?
I wish the demo had more in-depth graphics settings. My laptop can run it at a playable rate, but quick turns and actions create a lot of motion blur, which is the main thing that causes slowdown for me. I can be in a firefight with people as long as my aim is steady, if I need to turn around quickly, the motion blur drops me to laughable FPS rates.
The way you use your nanosuit plays a very big role actually, try running around without using any nanosuit mode (Sprinting counts as a mode as it uses energy) and see how far you get.
