Stories of scary/bizzarre things that happened to you

Well I was on school camp a few months ago in Sydney. We went on a ghost tour at Quarantine Station. One of the first rooms we went into was the shower block. It was full of individual showers that had tin walls. The people at my school, being the dicks that they are, kept banging on the tins and trying to scare the shit out of everyone.
I decided to leave my friends and walk around by myself. I didn't want to be around them with all the constant banging. I walked into the back corner and found a door, so I hesitated and then opened it. It was just a toilet. I turned around to walk back and as I got to the isle that I could see the door from, I saw the last of my group leaving so I started walking fast toward the door. I then felt someone stroke the back of my neck. Without turning around, I shat myself and sprinted the fuck out of there.
When I got out, of course everyone was laughing. They didn't believe me, but it still haunts me.
I remember as a kid when an old guy said he had some nice new shoes at his house that I could have.
My mum then came for me and the old guy just left in a hurry.
It wasn't until I was like 15 when I heard about pedophiles abducting kids that I understood what happned back then. I was like 6 or 7 years old and those memories still haunt me and they're clear as crystal. :ohdear:
It's may not sound scary or bizzare but when you relize that you could've been raped or killed as a kid, that fucks your mind up.
Something like this happened to me as well. When I was around 7, I was biking down the road with a friend and 2 men approached us in a van and told us that he had found a dog in the woods. He asked us to come have a closer look but I knew that I wasn't supposed to do that so I took off. Just then, my dad came out of my house (I guess he must have seen what was going on) and the two dudes left in a hurry. I never really realized it until I was older. I might not even be here right now. That's pretty scary shit.
[editline]09:20PM[/editline]
One more: On Christmas eve, I was just relaxing at home with my mum, watching some movies. All of a sudden, I could smell my dad. I know this sounds weird, but everyone has a distinct smell, and I could smell my dad (which is weird because he's been dead since 2005).
This morning I woke up realizing I slept in. Then I actually work up, realizing I was dreaming the whole time. I went back to sleep, and then I had another dream about waking up.
Who does this to me?
Sometimes, I lay on my bed trying to sleep. I close my eyes and after a few minutes, I feel like I just fell from a high distance onto the ground in a split second and I instantly open my eyes. I've asked my friends about this and they've said they've had it happen to them also. It's not creepy or anything, it's just weird.
Sometimes when I sleep I dream things that literally make me jump up and wake up
it is incredibly annoying
I had a lucid dream one time, but I got so excited, I woke up. Then I got up to tell my friend what happened, but then I woke up FOR REAL. I had dreamed that I had woken up. :geno:
Another one: 2 years ago, I went to Egypt. My whole family came and we are all claustrophobic. We went to the Pyramids of Giza, but my family didn't want to go inside The Great Pyramid because of their claustrophobia. I thought to myself "Fuck it, I'm never going to be here again" so I went inside.
The inside looks like this: http://www.sacred-destinations.com/egypt/giza-pyramids-pictures/great-pyramid-interior-steep-steps-to-main-chamber-c-phool.jpg
As you can see, it is on a very steep angle and you have to duck inside there. That ladder goes up a fair way too. So around the half way point, all of the lights inside the pyramid turn off. I am immediately scared the most I have ever been in my life. I decided to quickest way out of there was to roll down the ladder thing. It was most painful, but it got me out of there quicker than any other way possibly could have.
Something else just happened again. I was downstairs watching a movie, playing with the dog. When all of the sudden, I hear a heavy pounding. From upstairs. In the hall. Close to my room. Apparently, so did the little bugger on my lap as he looked up too. It went on for a few seconds. It sounded like very labored, heavy walking. Numerous times I have heard this. It seems like whatever the fuck it is in my house is becoming more active. Will keep you dudes posted.
It's your parents having sex upstairs.
Copy and paste from my thread:
Before I begin, please, don't be an idiot and reply with "Then who was phone" because you're only going to get banned. Thanks <3. Also, this is completely true, and it really happened. This following story takes place between Midnight and 4AM.
Last night I headed to bed at around 11:30 after doing a bit of homework from the weekend. I got my cat and hopped into bed, but I just couldn't sleep at all. To make things worse, I kept imagining I was hearing things.
At somewhere I estimate around 2:15AM, the phone rang. The sound completely startled me and I sat up in bed. I heard my grandma rise up and go to the phone. I heard the beep and then she said "Hello" twice. The person on the other end hangs up (I can tell because if you hang up our phone you'll hear another beep) and then the phone starts ringing again. Next thing I know my grandma is rushing up the stairs yelling at me to answer it as it may be my mom who's in trouble.
I ran over to the phone and right before hitting the "answer" button I notice that the caller ID says my own phone number. Someone was using the intercom mode on my phone to call me upstairs.
Now here's where it gets scary. There's nobody in the house except for me and my grandma, my one pet, the cat, is in my room. My grandma left the other phone downstairs. So we can assume that there's someone in the house. My grandma would not believe this theory so she walked downstairs as I grabbed a baseball bat. Also note that I did not tell her that the phone was calling from inside the house. Naturally my grandma answered the phone and said "hello".
I heard one footstep, and then nothing. I immediately froze. I did not hear a sound from downstairs. I called for my grandma but I did not get a response. I started shitting bricks big enough to build the pyramids. I'm too fucking scared to go down there of course. Then finally I hear my grandma come walking across the kitchen to the stairs.
She said that both times she answered the phone, all she could hear was a moaning, and it sounded like someone was trying to speak. She thought it may have been my mother in a car accident, calling for help. The first time the phone rang it was from "Private Caller", and the second time from inside my house. That's right, from inside my house.
It's now about 3AM and I'm freaked the fuck out at this point. So I try to go back to bed which I obviously can't and my mind keeps playing tricks on me thinking I hear sounds when it's only the heating system. At somewhere around 3:30 I heard the front door open and then close. Deciding I was sick of being scared I grabbed the baseball bat I earlier had brought out from my closet and ran downstairs. There were wet footprints across the floor. I thoroughly checked all areas of the house and the basement too but there was nobody there, minus my grandma who was sound asleep.
Finally at 4AM I tossed on the telly downstairs and just sat there watching some stupid documentary on the Jackson 5 after Michael's death. I had school at 6:30 and there was absolutely no way I was going to be able to get enough sleep for school so I called in sick today.
And that's my story, completely true, about how I shat so many bricks my asshole felt like Richard Simmons after a day at the gay bar.
Hey! You got the same story as me, when i was 10 - 12 years old.
Same phone rings, door knocks, footsteps and the utensils in the kitchen changling.
Worst thing was, the phone call was directed to me. It was so loud, yet my parents didnt woke up, nor did my siblings. Its like a warning call.
However, ever since i matured and started to get into serious dipshit with studies and other stuffs, i was too tired to even care about "them". So i guess "they" gave up in scaring the shit out of me.
You know what scares me, sometimes? When I'm taking a really hot shower and the shower curtain starts to pull in towards me. :tinfoil:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bernoulli_effect
Basically, pressure is lower where there is movement. Shower water causes movement, and thus lowers pressure, and air seeps in from the bottom of your curtain, thus making it come closer.
Also, might as well contribute.
There was this one time I had a bad case of sleep paralysis. Wish it could end there...
So yeah. One night, I make a horrible nightmare about dead people chasing me around and banshees (the ghost) and stuff. I woke up in sweat; couldn't move either. I felt like I was going to die if I did anyways, and I was hearing a constant clock ticking. The deal is, there is NO clock in the house that could tick (we have our computers and LCD clocks). And when I started to move, I could have sworn I was seeing a pair of eyes from my closet, along with a dog growling. Needless to say, I sprinted out of bed and opened the light, and didn't sleep for the rest of the night.
Oh, and there's also this time where, oddly enough, the relish in my hamburger had a little taste of cinnamon to it. Was fucking tasty though.
what is this thread doing on page 3, it's p.much the only good thread in gd atm
i like reading these stories, whether they're real or not
Once when I woke up I couldn't open my eyes move or speak. My mom said it happend to her to, has this happend to any of you?
Just remembered another one after discussing with a friend. Him and I went on a tour of a research lab where an intern dropped one of the petri dishes and it shattered. I don't remember what was in it, but we all had to go through decontam. Not paranormal, but possibly one of the most frightening moments of my life.

Sleep paralysis. This has been mentioned at least a dozen times in this thread. Some people say that it is the most frightening experience that they have ever had. I've yet to experience one, so I wouldn't know what it's like.

Had this to oddly enough :saddowns:
And i got 2 stories not so scary and probably explainable but meh who cares:
1. As i was younger let's say about 7-9 i got up real early alone on schooldays so that i could make breakfast and watch some tv alone, the thing is that i always felt watched while being alone and there were always sounds comming from upstairs when i came home after school (still alone) but ok let's cut to the interesting: As i was laying there watching tv one morning a girl 19-20 years old walks right infront of me and i can remember her looks so well, she had brown hair and a pink t-shirt, long jeans and was pretty decent looking, i never shat bricks as much as i did then.
tl;dr Saw cute girl comming out of the wall.
2. Was just some months ago where i live now, I was staying up watching tv while my mum goes to bed turning the christmas lights of and says goodnight, after about 15 minutes i have a feeling i just have to look over there! As i do the fucking christmas lights turns themself ON, Holy shit i just layed there for 30 minutes before rushing to close them of and proceed into bed.
tl;dr read it you lazy bitch
also when i lived in the first place i used to have alot of nightmares including ghost's and spirits one i remember real good is when i was standing downstairs and an old lady feeding a kid (breast's ) sits on the stairs looking at me, at first she looked so sad and i think she was from the 1800-'s but then became angry and her face started turning into some of the most disturbing thing i have ever seen. "Dream End"
I heard a howling in my house last night while watching the tele. My dogs were outside and my mom was still in bed. There must be a logical explanation for it, but it scared the shit out of me. I actually had to get up and look around.
Oh my God, every house in Virginia is built on top something civil war or another, it's why there are like 4000+ ghost story books written about Virginia
Now my story is really spooky for me, as I remember it so well, when I was little, I was sitting in my room playing some game on my PS1, enjoying myself. I went into my own bathroom to do my business, and I came back turned the lights off, and went to bed. I woke up because my play station AND my tv turned on, lord knows how. So I was spooked at this point, but stayed in my room anyway. I got up with the covers covering most of me, slapped the tv off and nearly kicked my damn PS1 into the wall, and jumped into bed and hid in the corner. About 2 years later, I just turned around, and saw a blue/gray little boy hiding behind my shelf, as soon as I looked at him, he disappeared right before my eyes, thats about when I swore my first curse and ran out of the house, and slept over with my friend, playing Mario and lugi's haunted mansion into the wee hours of the night. I'm in the very same room right now as where I saw the boy, and now i'm not going to be able to sleep :ohdear:
Thats a grey man its a grey http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greys
guess whats next ANAL PROBING BITCH! :q:
well, I went camping near Caldwell, fuck that town it's terrifying andshit so yeah
I was with my aunt and her husband and my mom and cousins, we heard the most terrifying fucking thing I've ever heard, it sounded somewhat like a baby but not at all, it was this horrible moaning noise and there were glowing eyes and I was fucking scared titless
"Witch! Wiiiiiitch!"
"Francis, don't be an ass."
:ohdear::ohdear:
guess whats next ANAL PROBING BITCH! :q:
This didn't happen to me, but still creepy nonetheless:
My friend's dad was at his mother's house having dinner, and one side of the dining room intersects with the hallway. He looks down the hallway and sees what looks to be a man in a tux getting ready for a dance or a prom or something. He has an awestruck look on his face, and his mother asks from across the table, "You see the man in the tuxedo, don't you?"
When he told this story, it freaked the fuck out of me.

The wind, I hear weird wind noises too.
My story will scare you guys somewhat I guess.
Ok so, one night, me and 2 of my friends had a sleepover. When we did, we were thinking of what to do all night.
We were bored as hell, so we decided to do something that would scare us. Also, before I go on, I must say I am a big believer in the paranormal. So we decided to go ghost hunting. We looked on different websites and maps to find some cool graveyards and abandoned buildings in our area. We found out that there was a really old cemetery somewhere about 10 miles from where we lived. Now, this cemetery was old and had a lot of scary stories involving people disappearing, to rotting, decaying bodies being found around the outer areas of the cemetery. That night was really rainy, but sort of calmed down after a while.
So, that night, we asked for transport from my friend’s mom. She decided to take us and see if we could get anything interesting. I got my video camera, my charger, some extra memory cards for extra footage, and my cell phone (just in case anything happened). It was one of the most uncomfortable rides I have ever been on. We were all scared out of our minds, but decided to go because we wanted to get great footage, and, if possible, a full body apparition. It took us about 15 minutes to get there. Also, this cemetery was isolated (away) from big buildings and populated areas. Also, behind it are some trees and some other things. When we got there, we all looked at each-other, and our eyes widened like owls. We got out of the car, and began our adventure into the scariest place in our area.
I got out my video camera, and took some film introducing the trip with my friends. I was being a joker at first and scaring my friends, not knowing that later on would be the scariest thing that has ever happened to me.
We got the introduction filmed, and walked straight into that cemetery as if we were going to get some type of 300 ct. diamond that was worth a lot of money. We got in and I pulled out my camera. The first 5 minutes of film was boring as hell, and we were debating on weather to leave or not. We decided to stay an extra 15 minutes to see if anything interesting happened. About 10 minutes into the film got interesting. We started to get orbs. Some people believe this as dust, or insects, but this started happening out of nowhere when there was no such thing happening on the camera before. Now, I like to think of orbs as nothing harmful, but really cool things. So we weren’t scared at the sight of the orbs because they are completely harmless.[/FONT
This part is where things got more interesting. We had gotten about 12 minutes of film when we saw a cat. Me and both of my friends practically crapped ourselves when we saw it because it ran so freakin’ fast. But we calmed down after that. So, as we progressed further into the cemetery, you could hear what seemed to be a faint whisper. Not the type you get from wind, but so much like a human whisper. We were scared out of our wits by then. We started to go closer to the car, and all of the sudden, we hear what must have been the most blood-curdling, painful, and deathly scream I have ever heard. It sounded like this:
Then, we booked it. What you are about to hear will make you hate me. Being the clumsy bastard I am, I dropped the camera into the water and my other friend stepped on it. It broke. I screamed. Although I broke a $500 camera, I was still pale as a ghost (no pun intended). So were my friends. We could not go to sleep that night. The next day, we were fussing around on the internet, trying to get the previous night out of our mind, and read a story of a woman that was murdered at the cemetery exactly 3 years. Exact same month, exact same day, and it was in the night time. We then thought it over and came to a conclusion that since most ghosts repeat a cycle of when they were alive, they do it on a day that maybe was important to them, or something that is just a coincidence. So this woman scream seems to be a yearly thing.
I am sorry for no pictures or video. If I had them, I probably would have deleted them right after the incident anyways, since that is the scariest thing that will ever happen to me.
For those of you who didn’t read:
TL;DR: We were bored one night, decided to go to a cemetery, and we heard a woman scream. It turned out, she was murdered 3 years before.

You say you dropped the cam in water and a friend stepped on it?
What, was it raining so hard that the water was more than a few inches?

It's got a crazy name but it's just noises you hear when falling asleep.
I have seen my subconsciousness while i was awake. I woke up last summer, got out of bed and went to kitchen, and there it was. Odd, he was a mixture of Charles Chaplin and Marilyn Manson. A gentleman with fucking weird eyes. The eyes were....yeah. Anyways, i've been with him ever since. He's always with me, talks to me, walks with me and gives me strength.
So.. I took a piss once and when I looked down when I finished there was blood in the bowl so I was freaking out and it turns out my Sister had her period and didn't flush the toilet. Scared the shit out of me.
my mom had a life size cardboard cut-out of elvis and she would dress it in real clothes and make me stand behind it and make it strip while she played elivis music and masturbated
