You say you dropped the cam in water and a friend stepped on it?
What, was it raining so hard that the water was more than a few inches?
It had rained pretty hard that night. There were also quite a few dips in the ground filled with little puddles.
it sounded somewhat like a baby but not at all, it was this horrible moaning noise and there were glowing eyes
I KNEW IT
mothmans not dead

I realize I've ignored this thread for a long while, mostly because nothing has happened. I tried using a clairvoyant crystal pendulum thing. Got a few strong and a few weak responses. Been hearing the usual things, walking and things moving around, but these are infrequent. I've been unable to get the charger for my camera, though I need it badly.
On a side note, when spring rolls around I should have plenty of new stories since I'm getting into urbex. I just need a few more people for a group and some gear. I already have two spots to explore lined up, both supposedly haunted.
Actually there has been something happening frequently; I'm seeing shit. A lot of shit. Every time I walk past this one door connecting our house to the sun room, I see a blurry figure standing behind the glass. Everywhere I go in my house I see these. My friend who comes over also reports seeing these all the time. I have no idea why this thing is just now starting to appear more visually, but it's weird to say the least.

OMFG
Perhaps I should make a contribution. This isn't scary just odd.
Sometimes I hear people calling my name, in either two forms. My dad calling me when he is angry, or a little girl calling me (and no I don't have paedo like halucinations).
One time I went to Croxteth Hall in Liverpool. Theres a room called the fire-damaged room in there, as a fire in the hall destroyed the room, and they haven't bothered to repair it. Anyway, Me, my family and my cousins family were in there looking at an old suit in a glass case. It is standing upright when we turn to leave. When I turn around and look back, it has fallen over, leaning slightly towards the left side. :-S
When I was in third grade I lived in South Philly in an apartment with my mom and little sister. Since it was only a two bedroom apartment my sister had her own room being a baby and all and I slept on my moms floor. This one night I was In a deep sleep and then boom I woke up. I looked around the dark room and didn't see anything, so i laid back down. My moms cat started hissing. I looked up again to get the cat to stop and right in front of my moms dresser was a woman in all white. She was floating in the air. I was frozen I couldn't move I just watched. Eventually I fell back asleep. I never experienced the woman in white again, but it definetly left a mark.
Well there is my story, I noticed that there werent that many so I figured I would actually post to the topic of this post. :)

:bravo:Lol
A man I didn't know walked into my bedroom, scared the living shit of me, was on headphones with full volume control. But was my father's friend, looking for something I didn't remember.
Not really a scary occurence, but in my bedroom theres a "Dream Catcher". Its supposed to ward off bad dreams. When I first put it in my room, I thought it was just a joke (I was pretty young) and since then I have never had any dreams. Not one. Sometimes I get some sort of feeling while im asleep that I remember when I wake up, but its not a dream.
I think I'm being followed by a dead cat. :tinfoil:
One time me and my buddie Brimstone (You may know him) were at a campground an night walking around the lodge that is supposedly "haunted".
At the back side there as windows, we had a night vision camera and i put the camera up to the window to see if i could see anything, and the infra red light went out. When i pulled it away it came back on. I tried it several more times and we got real creeped out and decided to go some place else.
Later in our ghost-hunting adventure, we went down to a pavilion by the lake. It was a warm night and there was steam out on the lake. We were filming out on the lake, and something hit Brimstone on the back of the head. We couldn't figure out what it was then i got hit. We later on the camera saw a that it was like a disc that came out of nowhere.
We also brought along a digital audio recorder and got some disembodied voices and creepy moaning sounds.
Overall it was a really fun night.
I have about 4.
I remember once when I was standing in our garage, (its more like a barn made out of wood and more modern materials) I was standing with our two newest cats. (we used to have two but one of them died and we got two more that are kittens) anyway the one that died is named tizzy. I'm saying this because while I was petting one of the new kittens I felt a brush up against my leg. I looked down expecting to see the other cat but she wasn't there. Instead she was across the room on a table, and the other was in front of me sitting down. I stood up from bending over to pet my cat and stepped back a bit. I felt it again except inbetween my legs like Tizzy used to do. (rub against both my anckles at once) I might want to mention there was no wind that day. I called her name and suddenly a HUGE gust of wind hits my legs and back. It hasn't happened since... mostly because I havent really been outside it being winter and all. I might also mention we burried tizzy in a box nearby, we even marked it with a little cross made out of wood that I nailed together when I was 8. she died when I was 8 and would never get near anyone calmly except for my mom, she was an HUGE scardy cat.
for those who didn't read it,
I was standing in our garage petting my can when my dead cat rubbed up against my leg.
another time I had a dream where I was lying out in our living room on the couch. (I had gone to sleep on the couch) and I was having a really scary dream where some mutant clown man was chasing me. The weird thing was that I knew it was a dream and I tried to open my eyes, I did and there was the clown standing next to me on the couch. I opened them again and I was in my bedroom with the clown screaming in my face. This happened 7 times before I opened them for real and started crying for my mommy. ( i was 5)
two more, bare with me.
I was 10 (I'm 14 now)
and I had a dream where I was walking with my mom and some girl in a white dress who was singing. We were walking around northwood which is a university which is EXTREMELY close to our house. suddenly the girl touched my mother and she sank in to the ground, I said "MOM!" and started sinking my self while the girl was laughing, I actually felt the ground closing around me. I then woke up.
alright this one is short.
I was really young maybe 6 and I had a dream where kanga from whinnie the pooh was at the bottom of this huge squareish staircase that went around a square room. I got to the bottom and Kanga (the kangaroo) 's face went all alligatorish and ate me, I then woke up.
About a year ago this dream happened again (13 years old) except this time I got out a random ak-47 and shot her to death :s :D

Yeah we all have bad dreams....
This is creepy occurrence that happened to me, it's creepy in the sense, that it blended my dream, with reality.
Now in my dream I was reliving my high-school final year concert ( we had special events, like some students would volunteer, and sing songs on stage). I remember the last song was "Dido - White Flag", for some reason I loved this song. ( come on, the last song you hear before leaving school forever, it's gonna sound like a million dollars! ) Well, at the end of the song I remember clapping like a maniac, due to all my excitement about leaving.
A few seconds into clapping though I began waking up, next thing I know I've woken up, and I can still hear clapping. I seriously began to panic that I was in some sort of nightmare-ish dream between dream land, and the real world. So I sat up in bed and began looking around my room to find the source of the sound. Turns out it was a pigeon which had flown in through my attic, flew into my room, saw the window, tried flying through it, and got stuck in the curtains. ( the clapping sound was it's wings hitting the glass )
Oh guys, do continue. This is like Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark 4 (NOTE*, if you don't know what Scary Stories... is, then it's ok. It's just freaky stories based on urban legends, but still not that scary. Scary when you were a kid though. There's only 3 volumes) except it's not written in a book and it lacks freaky pictures like theses:

Are you stupid? Memory cards can take a shitload of damage before being unreadable.
I have a unibrow.
And that's my scary story.
Last night a black dark black figure passed by my bedroom when i was 5 ooh man was i shitting bricks.

So today was your 6th birthday?
I just horribly corrupted my post.
My story is just bizzare and I still haven't found an explaination.
I was up late one night, I think I might have been 13 or 14 at the time. The rest of the family had gone to sleep but me. I was just laying in my bed reading, when some insect starts bugging me. I blow it away a few times, but it keeps coming back. In the end I swing my hand and hit it, and it felt like it stung me with pure electricity! I was shocked and puzzled, but I shrugged it off and continued reading: Untill the next time the thing came back, and exactly the same happened. It was as if the insect could inflict pain just by touching; It had nothing to sting with, and it had no time to bite me, it looked like just a normal fly, perhaps smaller.
At this point, I put the book away, get up and decide to chase the fucker down and kill it. Knowing that those things usually hang around bright lights, I look up at the lamp in the ceiling; I see a massive number of the same bugs hanging around it. At this point, I'm thinking that since I'm half asleep already, this may be some kind of dream. Therefore, I turn on the computer to solve this, couldn't bother trying to sleep anyways with a horde of pain inducing, mysterious flies hanging around. (I mean, this is Denmark, after all, no animals here should be able to do anything at all)
On the computer, I go to the forum I was hanging around at the most of the time and started a thread. Nobody could really explain what kind of fly these were, and most people just found it funny. Hell, even I found it funny, in a way.
Next morning, I wake up on the couch in the living room. It took a while to remember why I was on the couch, so I get up and go to my room: Absolutely no insects anywhere to be found. However, the thread I made during the incident was still there.
I still have absolutely no idea what happened, but I know that I did make that thread, so it can't have been all dream. But I've never ever encountered an insect that did the same as these.
I once went to crete. While on holiday there and hanging with a few people we happen to stop at the public toilets, it was late evening and as I was waiting for a friend to finish washing her hands I glanced in the mirror. There was a figure, solidly black, glowing yellow/green eyes, detective style figure kind of like this but with more glowing eyes:

Scared the shit out of me and I ran off screaming. My friends having not seen it teased me and pretended to see it to scare me some more.
I've seen it several times in various places since crete. Still creeps the fuck out of me.
Bump
Cemetery Story
Complete bullshit. The memory/SD card or whatever would most likely have been undamaged.
Also, the whole story just reeks of bullshit, exactly three years after a murder? Sure.
Link me a news article and I might believe you.
once when i was about 10-11 years i heard a noice from the living room (the kitchen was between my room and the living room) i went up and then i looked and two human sized yellow eyes apeared i front of me i ran to my bed and barely slept rest of the night then a few days later i heard a noice again but not from the living room but my own room i looked and my entire room was filled with small yellow eyes and a big pair of eyes in between it may sound fake but i promice its true
oh yes nearly forgot i once dreamed about a man in white clothes killing a man, let me descripe the dream and remember its not fantasy i did dream it saw a eagle and a man in white coat like thing he went through some people watching a hanging then the man runs and jumps up andputs the knife in the executioners eye then some weeks later assassins creed trailer came out and what i dreamed happened exactly.
I don't really have much to contribute, other than a few weird things happening around my house.
Whenever me and my friend are just hanging out in my room, the door will randomly pop itself open, then just slowly open. The same thing kinda happened to my sisters room one night.
I went in there to make sure that her dog wasn't chewing anything, and I got the dog to come into the living room so I could watch her (everybody left to go to dinner). Me and the puppy were watching a basketball game, and I heard my sisters door slam shut, which is weird because a window wasn't open, and I was the only one home. I ignored it, until I hear a slow creaking sound, which I assumed was the door opening, followed by it slamming shut again. it kept doing this on it's own for about an hour or so, so I bust out my video camera to film it. Got it a few times opening and closing on it's own. And I showed it to my sister, and she just thinks I'm insane. :\
Another time I was laying in bed, watching tv, and I noticed my fan was moving. That was pretty odd because it was kinda cold out, and my fan had been off for a week or so to keep my room nice and toasty. But the fan kept spinning slightly on it's own, and as I got out of bed, it suddenly stopped. Right after that I went into the kitchen to get some water, and one set of lights was flickering on and off until I walked out of the kitchen.
There's this "haunted" (just totally abandoned and about to collapse) house about a 15 minute drive away from where my two best friends live. We know all of the myths and stories about it and know our way in, around and out, so we would quite often take people up there to scare the shit out of them. It's in an area where mobile phone reception cuts out, temperature drops by about 7 degrees, everything around it is totally dead and there's not a light around for miles. The number of the house is 999 (upside down being 666 hurr durr) just to top it all off. Perfect place to take people when you want them to shit bricks, let me tell you.
The 22nd of June, around 2am, after it'd been raining like crazy for a couple days, we decided to go up to the house for a little while. It's up on a big mountain and there are a couple of bridges you have to cross before getting to this house, which were all fine except for the very last bridge. When we approached this bridge, we saw two things: the foot of water covering it from the river flooding, and the old white car that had crashed into the side of the mountain. At first we were like "oh, well, let's go to Maccas!" but as we proceeded to turn around to go back home, we were stopped cold. We noticed that the car's lights were on (headlights, rear lights, interior lights), the windows were open and the driver seat door was flung open. We called out to see if anyone was in the car but no response. As we were calling out for someone, a white van approached the other side of the bridge. It just stood still for a while, then drove across slowly and drove even slower when passing us. It didn't stop to see if anything was wrong or talk to us - nothing. It just drove off. My friend turned around and drove up about 10m to a little area where he parked us, grabbed the torches we brought with us and went out to 'investigate' and see if anyone was there. If it was any other day, we would have just gone straight to the police. But because this bridge had flooded so badly and the water running across it was flowing so strongly, we felt that someone needed our help right there in that moment. My friend and I still in the car watched as our other friend had a look around and inside the car, then started running back. He told us that there was no keys anywhere, everything was unlocked and no one was there. He then told us to lock the doors and windows, keep an eye on him and be ready to reverse back quickly to get him and drive off if he called at us to do so or if we saw him running again. At this moment, I was absolutely fucking terrified. I have never been as scared as I was as this was all happening. About 20 minutes passed and he came back and said we should go to the police. He'd walked up and down the bank, calling out for someone, but it's pretty hard to compete with the noise of rain and water flowing heavily. So, we left and drove back very slowly in case we came across someone walking down that we'd missed on the way up. Soon enough, we found ourselves stuck behind this same white van that drove passed us. It was fucking weird enough that there was anyone on this road at almost 3am, much less this same guy that passed us at least 30 minutes ago. When we were following him, he was going the speed limit but still got stuck behind him about half way between that bridge and the nearest turn-off. Either this guy stopped for 10 minutes or started driving 10km/h for a long time, maybe waiting for us. One thing was for sure though, this driver was drunk. Really, really drunk. He was so close to the side of the mountain that we all had our mobiles out about to call emergency services in case he drove off.
When we got to the police station, they were closed. There was a sign on the door saying which officer was on duty there, plenty of cars (including unmarked, personal cars) in the parking lot, but no lights were on and there was no response to the door bell or to the phone inside when we tried calling numerous times. We didn't know what to do so I called 000 and told them what had happened, though the lady did not seem phased at all and it seemed as though she thought I was joking or something. :S
Later on I remembered that the 22nd of June was the six month anniversary of my friend's suicide. About 4pm the next day, my friend's mum woke us up, telling us that her brother was walking around their neighbourhood with a knife about to kill himself. Excluding one or two mutual friends, none of us have ever repeated any of this to anyone.
Anyway, yeah, that was by far the more scary/bizarre thing that's ever happened to me and I really hope I never feel that type of fear again. Sorry it's long.
tl;dr - dark and stormy night, on my way to haunted house when I see a car crashed into a mountain, edging off a flooded bridge with no one in the car or anywhere near. Strange white van, no police on duty, anniversary of friend's death. Shit was whack.
