i was on facepunch reading scary stories
OOooOOooOOoo!
Once in Sweden, I accidentally dropped a soap into the floor at the showers. Because I didn't like surprises from unknown people, I kicked it into the corner of the shower room, and picked it up with my ass tightly on the wall. Needless to say, I received some angry looks
Weird story, but you know what I kind of thouht of while reading that? What if the attic held a time machine? Work with me on this for a second. You said you saw someone go upstairs after you went, that could of been you, several moments BEFORE, and the light turned off and on? That was you turning the lights on before all this. When you woke up all bloody, this was your two selves recombinding after you were sent back forward into time. Its stupid, but soemone else give me a better explaination, i'd like to hear it.
I didn't say that I saw anyone anywhere in the house.
Me and my sister were playing at a park behind our grandmothers apartment. We were the only ones there, the playground was located in a small area, hills rose on each side, we were basically boxed in. So me and her messed about on the jungle gyms and such, doing things little kids do. When out of nowhere a branch in an untouched corner of the playground fell, that area was shrouded in bushes, trees, and other such shrubbery. Time was frozen when that happened, I could feel the air around us drop so many degrees. We stood there, staring, for what felt like hours. "Let's get out of here." I said to my sister in a low voice, so whatever did that (had their been anything) wouldn't have heard. We ascended one of the hills, never turning our back on that spot. I've always hated the area 'round my Grandmother's old apartment, every time I stayed the night there I was forced on the couch surrounded by windows, perfectly positioned to stare at the nearly hidden staircase, no matter the orientation. Whether or not I closed my eyes, hid myself beneath the blanket, or cried.. I could always feel the lurking presence of those shadowy stairs. I haven't a clue if it were the stairs that caused my dismay, or the locked door that NOBODY was to enter atop them, tucked in the corner of the upstairs hallway, always a bleak white light shining from under that door frame. I hated that place, I'm glad she moved.
Lot of good stories here. We had many strange happenings at one of my families house, bottom floor, was just where the car is parked underneath, washing machine and useless junk is. But not related, just detailing. It would seem, the bathroom's light was on, when I swore I turned it off, and yeah, just like :lost: one of my brother's reckon they heard a slight descriptive whisper, something like "Asawah, Asawah, Asawah...". But properly close enough. And no, I doubt it was something significant. Properly. Didn't make any sense. But he said to keep listening, but didn't hear anything, and other various child giggles. Which the only explanations was some kids outside giggling, just at that moment. And yeah, the bathroom was known to be seen having blood on the walls, don't remember how and why. I don't have proof, because I wasn't in that area, we had all the lights off, even so we swore it was off and shit, but it still freaked me out to this day. Wasn't sure if it was confirmed if my mother went to get a psychic to sort this out. My previous house in rockhampton was haunted, I'm sure of it. A troll shaped figure was there. trolling in real life. :buddy:
*creepy story about grandmas house area*
Oh, thats something similiar to my expriences, you see, my grandmother used to (shes in a hospital 24/7 now due to oldness) live in a nice brickhouse (build by bricks that were shat, of course) which is right infront of an forest. Now when I was a kid I liked to go there time to time overnight, because it was fun to be there. The only downside is that everytime I slept there, I saw horrible nightmares that scared me shitless way too many times. Nothing in the house was creepy, but for some reason I kept seeing nightmares there.
Ok, so mine is nothing compared to everyone else's, but whatever. When I was about 9 I watched The Ring. It scared the shit out of me and I had trouble sleeping that night. When I looked out on to the landing, I swear I saw shapes moving in the darkness. Then the house started making creaks and banging sounds. Finally, I felt something cold touch my feet. That really freaked me out (I thought it was Samara trying to pull me out of my bed) so I lay for the rest of the night with my feet out of the covers. Now, with hindsight I can explain all these things. The moving shapes were just "static" in the darkness or my eyes seeing things. The sounds were just the wood in my house cooling down and contracting (but I was usually asleep at this time, so I hadn't heard these noises before). And the cold touch on my feet was a cushion I had at the end of my bed which I must have touched as I sank further into my covers.
It was a Halloween evening. I logged into Facepunch, and the front page was full of ghosts :ohdear:
God dammit Facepunch, I can't even turn around now without freaking out because of my mind telling me I saw a figure, when I really didn't. :ohdear:
Was in an old "JESUS CHRIST PRAISE ME LORD" house near a ski resort some time ago. Me and my curious friends went into the house and opened a guestbook that was right next to the entrance inside and my granddads name was written there... more like only his name because all the other names were scribbled out. Scary shit.
Someone once stole two shoes from my house. From two different pairs. They were both left shoes. :crossarms:
Deja vu, All the time.
A couple of months ago i saw a couple of big red lights in the sky swirling around then molding into one white light and blasting off at a speed i cannot comprehend. Now here is where is gets creepy. For some reason last week we started talking about aleins ans UFO's i told him about what i saw a couple of months ago as soon as i finished what i was saying he went white, with a face just like the :geno:, he told me i was discribing what he saw a couple of years ago and what his mum and dad had told him after he told them what he saw. We have never mentioned anything to each other regarding red lights in the sky, ever. EDIT I forgot to say a few days after that i had a nosebleed going to collage it happened out of nowhere just talking all of a sudden i was told my nose was bleeding.
The sister of a friend of mine had to babysit for some friends of her, the whole night there was a clown standing in the corner of the living room and she was like who the hell puts a clown doll-like thing in there home. So she puts the kids into there beds and went downstairs to the living room to watch some tv. Later on she got a little freaked out by the clown so she called her friends to ask why they have a clown in there living room cause its creeped her out, they said they didn't had a clown in the living room and at that point she freaked out but stayed calm. She went upstairs to get the children out of there beds and ran out of the house and called the police. When the police arrived they stormed in the house and arrested the man in the clown suit. So the F*cking clown stared the whole night at her....

I saw your Facebook picture. :tinfoil:
I'm sorry, You HEARD someone go upstairs
Yes, it was probaly future me doing all this to prevent something or someone distrupting an event in my life that may change the very future of me. Instead of me becoming the resurrector of the Third Reich, I become the one to sing the song that ends the Earth.
It's your imagination playing tricks on you. It was a wild animal and nothing more. [editline]10:29PM[/editline] or a weather balloon possibly
Swamp gas.
Okay, so I have an update on the hiker situation. They found the guy, but he was a lunatic now. Apparently he'd been attacked by a large animal and barely escape with his life. He ran so far into te forest that he got lost and couldn't find his way out. He found an old wooden house nobody lived in and decided to sleep in it. He said he heard things moving outside, and heard whispers. The following morning he saw another door that hadn't been there the night before. He opened it and he wouldn't say what had happened from that point onwards. He just kept muttering about the darkness.
One time I took like 5 pain killer pill bottles at once cause i had the worst head ache ever (mind splitter kind) and went to bed. I woke up and saw my door was wide open, so I got up and walked over and looked out of my room and saw this thing run into the kitchen. I close and lock my door, pull out my Glock 15, and walk down the hall way. I look in the kitchen and see nothing then I hear a grumbling sound and running behind me. Then I'm hit over the head and get knocked out. I wake up the next morning in my bed, my door closed, my gun under my bed where I keep it. And a bump on my head... :tinfoil:
There is no Glock 15.
I am the one doing the scaring. I usually creep around my house at night. Silently real late at night and usually scare my family.
True stories from my part, now, since I don't really plan on going to bed right now as I've read the thread and i'm the definition of big pussy. Here's one of my stories, not really scary but rather...paranormal, and makes you think. Ever since I could speak, says my mom, which was when I was about two years old or something, right up until first grade, I would see these glowing 'orbs'. I remember them clearly, they where just round, glowing and floating spheres. There were tons of colors, too. Usually the darker colors ( Black, Dark Red, etc... ) were the mean and evil ones, while the light colors where the good ones. I would always talk about them to my mom, my grand-parents, etc... Anyways, one day when I was about five years old I was sick so I went to the clinic with my mother. If you've been to a clinic before, you'd know that its rather long, so I was sitting beside my mom and across from us, was a rather old woman. Gray hair, big fur jacket, but really nice and sweet. Anyways, when I brought up the 'glowing spheres' to my mom, the lady across from us looked at me and smiled and said: " Next time you see one of those, sweetie, tell them to go see somebody else, in your family, friends, or even me. " With that, she smiled once more, got up, and walked down the corridor. My mom found it weird, but I found it smart. Anyways, fast forward we're back home and i'm telling my Grand-mother about this and it just happened that my uncle came visit us. ( I lived with my mom and grand-parents at the time. ) He thought I was joking, and found what I said funny. So, he told me: " Do like that lady said, tell 'em to come see me next time. ". We left it like that, and I went to bed. Now, I remember this clearly. I was waking down the hallway at school, going bring in a medical note to the secretary when I seen one of the spheres. I told 'it' to go see my uncle, and it instantly disappeared. Fast forward again, I got home and told my mom I sent the glowing orbs to go see my uncle. She asked me at about what time, and I told her second period, so at about 10:30 A.M. Now, she was freaked out and I asked her why. She said my Uncle had called her at about 10:30 and asked her if she ha'd went to his house. She told him no, why? He responded saying that he heard the front door open, and a woman's voice calling him. She laughed, and asked him what he was smoking. He got off the phone with her, and called her back five minutes later. He was freaked out, saying he just felt somebody walk into his bedroom and put a hand on him, pass over him on the bed, and walk out... I never seen the spheres after that. And i'm 16 now...I have another story, just ask me and i'll write it up... I don't know if you guys find this stuff weird/interesting so...
:ohdear:

When I was 4 or 5 I was in my bed and a guy in a rabbit suit opened my closet door it walked up to me and told me everything will be ok as long as I don't tell my parents or anyone else, I screamed he pulled a knife out and stabbed me in the leg, he went out the window (I'm on first floor) my parents came in and called the police, but when I was 10 I was walking home with my friends and I saw it, the guy in the rabbit costume, I told my friends "I-i remember that costume." we ran home. Now that I'm 15 I've remembered something horrible, I remembered when I was 6 I'd wake up before anyone else and look down the hall, a figure of a man would be at the window.
When I was 12, my 3 best friends and my brother were all hanging out one night in my room, playing gamecube and guitar hero. 2005 was awesome. Anyways, we were just playing some Super Smash Bros. when we heard the front door open. At first we thought it was my dad getting home from work, because he tends to get home late at times. Then, I realize that a few hours ago he had gone to bed. Everyone else in the house was a deep sleeper, and we were pulling an all nighter. It's 3:00 AM. We all expel feces in the form of bricks at that moment. We all discuss possibilities in whispers as to how it might be just someone who got up to get some water, or how it's the wind, etc. It wasn't though. We looked through the bottom crack of the door to see a shoe walk through the hallway, and it was a Converse. When we realized that no one who lives here or is in the house has a pair of Converse shoes, we started considering what to do. I had a metal baseball bat, which was an option. But he may have a gun or a knife or something. We also thought about calling the cops, but for some reason I don't remember, we didn't. We decided to wait, and see if there were any other people with him in there. So, anyways, this guy is walking slowly and quietly through the hallway. I'm afraid he might do something to my little sister or dad [paranoia of a 12-year-old], but he didn't. It was like he just wanted to watch us. We knew he was coming into my room, and we all were scared as fuck. We had turned the lights out so he thought we'd be asleep. We all laid down in areas throughout the room so we looked like we were just kids who had a sleepover and passed out. The door opened, and we all closed our eyes. I squinted my eyes, and I looked like I was asleep, but I could see him. He was bald, and had a little 5-o'clock shadow. He looked directly at me. And smiled, like he could tell I was watching him. Then he put his fingers to his lips, and mouthed something, and I wasn't sure what it was, but I'm pretty sure it was "I'll be back" or something. He closed the door, walked away, and I heard the front door shut. My friends and I discussed our views of what we saw, and one said how it seemed like he said something too. Not on of us actually slept that night, and we all were more scared than we had ever been in our entire little lives. 2 Weeks Later, my neighbor had been on the news, because she ran out of the house one night when some guy had come into her home with a knife and a plastic bag. He was arrested, his name was Omar or something, and he was bald, with a 5o'clock shadow. Haunts me to this day.
If you had been kidnapped, you would have deserved it for leaving your house unlocked at night.
story about the guy whos attic was haunted.
Holy shit dude, I'm not sleeping tonight
fucking scary shit.
The experience I had that I posted on the second page was sort of like yours. I got that buzzing in my head, felt like I was going to pass out, and my perception was distorted as fuck. But tell me this, when it happened, did you get an abnormally cold or warm sensation? For instance, when I was outside in the snow in that story I posted, I felt very warm. Usually when something along the lines of out stories happens to me, I get that humming, lightness, warm sensation, and sometimes a vertigo feeling accompanied by the feeling like I'm going to faint. The same goes for when I experience sleep paralysis and when I'm going into REM sleep. I've heard most people experience that when sleeping, but I get it commonly.
I went over to a friend's house a few years ago, and he said that this hill back in a field was haunted. I laughed, got my camera and a few Sprites, and we went over there. On top of the hill, there's quite a bit of trees, like a small forest. So, we went up there and started looking around. We found several wooden boards, a few shotgun shells, and a noose. We set down our Sprite cans on a flat rock near the edge of the wooded area. I started snapping pictures, while my friend looked around. For some reason, on the pictures it was unnaturally dark inside the woods, though it was only 7 o clock. Soon, we started hearing things. Footsteps, rocks hitting trees, little kids screaming. It was freaky, to say the least. Then, I got the picture. I was just snapping pics of one tree that my friend said always gave him a bad vibe, and I got this strange, white mist wrapping at the top of the tree. I went to the base of the tree, and got a picture of what looked like something going behind the trunk. I heard something behind me, turned and took a picture, getting strange multicolored mist. And we got thoroughly scared and decided to leave. As we got to the edge of the woods, I turned and took one last picture, getting more mists. Those four pictures are below. I don't have any pictures of the area, since my friend had most of them, and his hard drive got fried a few months ago. I don't care if you believe me, and you'll probably think I just photoshopped these or something, but they're creepy when you think of them. There was nothing at all like that when I was taking the pictures, only after they were taken. I apologize for that wall of text.
The bigger the wall of text, the better. This stuff is enjoyable.
This house I am staying in for spring break in Florida makes weird sounds. Last night whilst in the bathroom the wall in front of me was making what sounded like a dying chimpanzee, which would end after what sounded like something metal being dropped onto the floor upstairs. Also I can hear what sounds like footsteps despite nobody being upstairs. Just your generic "haunt" stuff.
Fresh content please Ill contribute- In my old house, we had a big dresser in the basement. We used it for stuff like games and snacks because the basement was a game room where I'd play stuff with my friends, like gamecube and xbox. One time I fell over and hit the dresser, and it moved. I saw metal behind it. I pushed it out the rest of the way and saw a metal door there. I opened it and saw a bedroom inside. Here's where shit gets freaky. I went inside and the door closed behind me. I was looking around and found a diary on the table. It was dated March 2nd, 1996. At the time, it was April 5th, 2007. It was blank, though. I found a bathroom in one corner that had a glow inside. It was boarded up badly, with large holes between the boards, and inside there was blood spattered on the walls, but I still couldn't get in because I had nothing to smash them with. I decided to leave, because at this point I was getting scared. I opened the door to find a brick wall. Mind you, I was alone at this time and had no friends with me. I pounded on it and it wouldn't budge. I managed to keep cool about it, so I looked around for something to open it with. There was a candelabra in one corner. I clobbered the brick wall with the candelabra, and the wall creaked. Unfortunately, the candelabra smashed because it was made of wood, and I couldn't use it. Then I noticed a picture on a wall had the wallpaper around it torn. I turned it and a section of the wall near the bed moved, revealing a small compartment. Inside was a crowbar. I used this on the brick wall about 5 times, and it broke open. All the lights were off in the basement, with only the glow coming from the TV illuminating the room. I decided that I'd check out the bathroom before I left into the scary-ass basement. I broke the boards down with the Crowbar and there was an old-fashioned lantern sitting in the bathtub. It wasn't lit, but there was a bottle of oil and a match nearby. I filled it and lit it. Then I looked to see what was causing the glow. It was a mirror with a single lamp sitting on the table infront of it. I grabbed the lantern because I figured I could pawn it for some cash and left the room. When I left, the glow from the TV was gone. In fact, so was my basement-I was in a corridor. Dried blood spattered the floor. I ran through the hallway and found another door at the end. I opened it and I was in my basement. The door was locked. I pushed the dresser back and never tried to open the door again. It was some wierd shit.
