The following is the only "strange" thing that I've experienced, I myself take it with a grain of salt because I'm not the kind of believer about strange stuff, but still, I'll remember about it for the rest of my life. I had a bad mountain bike accident in 2005, in a dense wood (sorry if some words aren't precise enough for the description, English isn't my native language). I, my cousin, and two of our friends were getting ready for the jumps and the whole thing was recorded on camera for later viewing. So anyway, first I held the camera and recorded the jumps of my cousin and both our friends, then it was my turn. I jumped, had fun, actually I did the first jump properly, the one that would give me speed to get to the second one and to finish with the third jump. I wasn't experienced enough so I didn't brake enough to slow myself down a bit for the third jump, so I took it at full speed, went up at least three meters in the air and fell head first to the ground, broke two Thoracic vertebra and two others got fractured... very painful stuff, but shit happens. Anyway, so what's the "strange" part? Well, keep reading. The thing is that the place we were mountain biking at is very rural, there's lots of nature, forests, woods and lots of wildlife, mostly small mammals and birds, many birds, and of course tons of insects, with the occasional deer and bear. Each mornings when we wake up there at the chalet (which belongs to the parents of one of our friends in the group) we can hear the usual birds around, the wind in the trees... you know, life goes on with its things as we made the trails and prepared the jumps in the wood and so on. So all our jumps are recorded. So after my accident they called an ambulance and I was brought to the nearest hospital and all the rest follows (surgery, rehabilitation, etc.,)... During my rehabilitation my friends came by at the rehab center so I could get some company along with my parents and family, etc., and one day one of the friend I was with that day who recorded my jump came with the recording of the accident (and the few moments that preceded it), he showed me the whole thing on his lap-top, and he told me to pay attention to something in particular in the video (and audio, more precisely). I watched the video closely and of course at first all I could think was "ouch, that must have hurt" (and hell yeah it did), we kind of laughed a bit about the whole thing and that's fine, it's all in jest between friends but then he asked me to seriously try to pay attention to the video and if I noticed the same thing as he just recently did... So again I watched and other than seeing myself taking on both first jumps, getting too much speed and crashing head-first after the third jump I really couldn't find anything "unusual". He then pointed at the sounds in the video, prior, during and after the accident and then showed me the recording I had done prior to my own accident of the jumps that he, our other friend and my cousin did (I recorded all their jumps except for my own, to repeat myself). In their recording as my friend pointed at, we could hear the usual "natural" sounds around us in the wood, wind in the trees (not loud of course but you can hear if you pay attention to it), birds... especially birds, everything is fine. Then comes my video... and so I was kind of "shocked" or surprised that the very moment the camera switches hands from me to my friend who's going to film my jumps the birds suddenly stop making any freakin' single sound, and there seems to be no wind at all, the complete silence lasts for around a minute before I start going for the first jump, through the whole jumping sequence and until about ten seconds after the crash right after I yelled my pain and my friends came running at the scene to check up on me... and then, immediately after they get to me (with the camera shaking in the hands on my friend, still recording) we suddenly start hearing the birds in the background, again, literally as if you removed a sound block of some sort from your ears and started hearing everything around you again. Then I and my friend talked about it... none of us that day including myself ever noticed that it happened when we were there and doing our stuff. It just became evident to him specifically (because he was the one in the group "in charge" with transfering the records from camera to video on his computer and that kind of stuff, with later editing and adding effetcs, etc.,) and he wanted to show me the original recording with the exact same camera, and well... that's my story, it's the only strange thing I've ever experienced that at least I can remember about. I then explained the whole thing and showed the recording to my cousin and I think he freaked out about it more than I ever could because he's the type of guy who firmly believes in things like "nature watches over us" or "ghosts can roam the land", etc., so I had a good laugh about his reaction when he watched it (big open mouth, silent, salmon-sized wide open eyes, it was priceless), but anyway, I thought it was a bit strange that all the sound around us stops only at the moment of my specific jump prior to the accident, and then it starts again... as if the birds or "nature" wanted to give me a warning of some sort, like if nature would see in the future...
Yes, it is ghost rape.
The Hollow Man is after you.
The Hollow Man is after you.
No-no, I won't fucking look it up, I did that with the Slender Man and didn't sleep for five fucking days straight. What is it?
I stumbled upon the crossdressing thread. And fapped furiously :smug:
No-no, I won't fucking look it up, I did that with the Slender Man and didn't sleep for five fucking days straight. What is it?
I think he means The Hollow Man from the movie, Hollow Man.
<Jump accident story>
Maybe when you gave him the camera his hand obscured the microphone, and only when he ran back to you he moved off of it again? (Or something like that). Still got the video?
Maybe when you gave him the camera his hand obscured the microphone, and only when he ran back to you he moved off of it again? (Or something like that). Still got the video?
No sadly I don't have the video, perhaps I could eventually call my friend and ask him if he still has it, but you know as I said I'm not usually the type of person to believe in very strange (let's say "paranormal") things and so I never made a big deal out of it and never really got interested in keeping it. But as far as the sounds go, about the hand of my friend covering the microphone, it wouldn't be possible because we can hear everything else than natural sounds in the video, by that I mean that we can hear the bike itself, we can hear the small tree branches and dried leafs cracking and moving on the ground as I passed by the camera on the bike and we can hear my friend (the one filming) talking out loud to my cousin about how I seem to be going too fast for the jump, so the sound "in general" I guess wasn't blocked. I mean the only "type" of sound that goes completely "off" are the sounds from the surrounding birds, the wind, everything except my friends and the bike, and then the crash (my yelling in pain from the distance is heard clearly, and my friends starting to run towards me to check up on me), then the camera is gently left on alone on the ground and we can partially see myself getting up with the help of my cousin and my friends, and then as soon as I stand up it's kind of both wind and birds sounds come all of a sudden and resume "as normal" (at that point the camera is still on the ground and then picked up soon after by my friend)... it's strange, but I swear that none of us ever payed attention to nor were ever able to notice the "nature silence" at that time, even prior to the accident when I get on the bike itself which is exactly when the "nature" sounds stop. But anyway as I said in my original post I take it with a grain of salt, something may have happened to the camera or to the sound recording, but honestly I wouldn't be able to explain why and how it happened, in the end it's just a bit strange I concur to that, but I won't go as far as my cousin in terms of beliefs, because he thinks that the birds wanted to give me a warning (he's a freak about paranormal stuff).
My dog looks randomly towards walls and gets angry for some reason. GHOSTS!!!!.
 My sister's dog Jasper always does that.
I was exploring a disused and rotting mental asylum near my house one day, I was on the second floor of the nurses quarter checking out one of the rooms which had a bath with some mysterious fermenting black substance in it. Upon leaving that room I glanced down a long coridoor to my left and saw a figure walk across it. I then proceeded to GTFO. Here is a picture of the actual Asylum I was in It was simular to that coridoor, but about 3 times as long, spanning the entire length of that quarter and much darker.
Ah, I was expecting a screamer. Well then, that's damn creepy. I'm assuming you didn't get any close to the black substance?
Not really creepy but one time I had one of the most weirdest sleep walking experiences I've ever had. Me my family and my auntie and uncle where all sharing an apartment room (we where on holiday in Melbourne) and apparently one night I pulled down walked around naked and mooned my dad. Of course I didn't remember this so I was quite surprised and embarrassed when I was informed in the morning of my little escapade. [editline]11:19PM[/editline] Okay so reading this thread made me think of three other weird instances of weird shit that has happened to me so I'll start with the creepiest. I was about 6 or 7 years old at the time, it was sometime at midnight I suddenly woke up with the stairs leading up to my room which was in the loft started to creak, I closed my eyes as hard as I could because these where the times when I thought ghosts and bogeymen where real. Well I felt someone pick me up out of my bed I opened my eyes, I was picked up in such a position that I could not see who or what was carrying me and I was to shocked and scared at the time to move. I was carried all the way downstairs and into the living room, I remember waking back up in my own bed back upstairs I asked my parents if they lifted me up during the night but nope apparently they didn't and still to this day I swear it wasn't a dream. This next one is not really mega creepy but more strange. When I was young I used to have this clock now for some god forbid reason I always used to talk to it when I was alone (I can't even remember why or how it started but I just used to) the clock had a picture of the Fat Controller on it for Thomas the Tank Engine on it. Now one day in the morning I winked at the clock and guess what... it winked back now I totally remember the exact moment of shock that struck me, I immediately ran down the stairs from my loft from the horror. The last one happened a few years ago, It was about 12 o' clock at night and I couldn't sleep. The reason?, there was a constant monotone beep (the kind you would hear on a Numbers Station) I searched the whole house and where ever I went I could not find the source of this beeping, more interesting no matter where I went the beeping was at a constant volume never lowered and never increased.
One night, I was laying in bed watching TV and the phone starts ringing. I pick up the phone and there's silence. So I hang up and check the recent callers list, and It was handset 2 (the other house phone). I was home alone.
Dare I say it? BUT WHO WAS PHONE?!
Dare I say it? BUT WHO WAS PHONE?!
Might wanna snip that.
Ah, I was expecting a screamer. Well then, that's damn creepy. I'm assuming you didn't get any close to the black substance?
Nah, it looked terrible, like it had been there for years.
Less than a year ago, my mom was doing business about buying my sister a car in some car dealership. I stayed in the car listening to my iPod. We have a BMW that lets you sync up your phone and answer calls and such. So I'm just sitting there, listening to my music, when the phone rings. Now, the reason this was strange was, my mom was inside the dealership somewhere towards the back while I was in the front of the parking lot; the truck couldn't pick up the car. I answered the phone, asked who it was, and was instead greeted with a monotonous female voice underneath some heavy static. It started saying repeated my mother's name twice and ending with a "Hello." before it hung up. My mom's phone had not picked up any calls and the voice was totally unfamiliar to me. It scared the shit out of me to the point where I never stayed in that car alone for a few months.
One night, I was laying in bed watching TV and the phone starts ringing. I pick up the phone and there's silence. So I hang up and check the recent callers list, and It was handset 2 (the other house phone). I was home alone.
Same thing happened to me. Was home alone one day, making a sandwhich for lunch and getting ready to hang out, when suddenly every phone in the house started to go off at the same time. Let me expand on that, usually when we get a call, the actual set rings once, then on the 2nd ring the handsets join in as well. But this time, they all started to ring at the same time. And not your usually dadada ring.... dadada ring.. It was RINGRINGRINGRINGRING. A constant ring. So it scared the hell out of me and I quickly ran to the phone and answered it, but there was only silence on the other line. So I hung up and checked caller ID and it was the other handset from downstairs. So I finished making my sandwhich and got the hell out of there. [editline]01:02PM[/editline]
Alright I've got a few stories.... Salute from a Past Life? I have had a few paranormal experiences in the apartment my family ,and I live in.... Usually stuff would happen during the night so I've pretty much would already shake it off as paranormal ,and get back to whatever I would be doing at the time. On the other hand, this was probably the highest paranormal incident of my time living in Arizona. The story goes like this. It was an average day in my household. My family had made buffalo wings ,and we were all enjoying The Phantom of the Opera. Usually, I get bored real easy ,and I love having a quick snack during a movie...So, I went to the kitchen to grab the buffalo wings from the fridge ,and as I was bending down to pick them up from the lower shelf something caught my eye... A very young man wearing a tan uniform was standing to my left. Now, at first this guy looked like my brother-in-law Chris ,but it became obvious it wasn't when he turned to face me. This man's face looked eerily like mine with a more grim and broad tone. At first, I stood there for like a minute ,but something in my mind told me to stand straight ,and salute... I don't know why ,but I did. The next thing I know the man saluted me back ,and walked through the window slowly disappearing. With this I picked up my chicken wings, closed the fridge ,and went back to the couch ,and attempted to become less stunned from what had just happened. My mom confronted me ,and asked, "Did you see something as well?". I went pale white. My sister and Chris took us to separate rooms and asked us what we had saw... I easily gave a full description ,and my mom gave her side face view description. When they discussed what we had seen they perfectly fit together. The next few days followed up with similar events till I got the first name of the man which was Andrew. After about a week it all stopped.
So you saluting this ghost reminded me of another experince I had. Ain't the human memory flawless? Anyways, so I used to have a dog, a black lab, who sadly passed away about two years ago. He was the kindest dog you knew, never bit anybody in his life and would be patient when baby's crawled all over him, also was extermly obese. I'd know him since I was 5, and I was around 13 at the time this happened. So my grandmother and I live on the same street/horseshoe,almost exactly opposite sides, and we were over at her house for a barbecue, and decided to leave our dog, Clyde, at home. So we were all at the BBQ, having fun and such, when from my grandmothers house we hear our dog start to howl. Now this dog has never howled before, and barely ever barks. So we all make a "Wtf?" face and me and my cousin get sent over to see whats up. So we walk around the street and arrive at my house, to find my dog in the driveway, and the gate to the backyard wide open. The dog was standing on the driveway, staring at the backyard, with his hair all up, howling his loudest. So I yell "Clyde! What the heck are you doing!" and he turns around and snarls at us. So I see that something is wrong, my dog would never do that to anybody, let alone me. So I go "Clyde what's wrong boy" and he steps towards us and growls. Then out of nowhere, I hear a voice saying "Bow down". I glanced around and saw nobody else around, and my cousin hadn't said it, but for some reason I knew that's what I had to do. So I say to my cousin without taking my eyes off the dog "Bow down. Just bow down". So me and my cousin get on our knee's and bow down to my dog. Instantly he stops growling and comes over and starts to lick us and wag his tail. We quickly get his leash and head back to our grandmothers. TL:DR= My dog, who is the nicest one ever, goes all feral and starts to growl and try to bite me and my cousin. I hear a voice in my head telling us to bow down, we do and it goes all nice and starts to lick us and wag it's tail.

When you get on the ground in front of a dog, it shows to him that you are harmless

The only thing that seems weird to me is why he started to howl in the first place, and how I heard a voice telling me to lie down.
Bow to your dog!
I actually have a very tragic story. I was walking in my bathroom and I stepped in a big steamy pile of sh aving cream.
I just got one thing, but it's not scary, just, abit weird. So, my cat died, it was a great cat and all, but, then I walked outside later that day, feeling pretty down, since you know, as mentioned, it was a great cat and all. But my buddy said, "Hey, look up in the sky!", the freakiest thing happened, a flock of ravens flew up there, in the formation that resembled a cat. But not only that, but my cat was black aswell. ...Two things make this weird: A: Ravens dosen't fly in flocks! B: No birds takes the formation of a cat! Coincidence? Maybe, most likley, even, but still...
