I would love to explore that place at night.
I've heard countless people say this, but 90% of them, including myself, shit ourselves even during a sunny afternoon.
It's just the feeling you get when you walk in, suddenly the sunlight goes, it gets cold, it feels claustrophobic constantly, it smells of rotting things and you always have the feeling something is watching you.
someone needs to post a epic long experience, those ones are the best, this thread should ban tl;dr's
One time I slipped on a patch of snow, and when I looked back, it was an imprint of my shoe. Exact size and pattern. Then I had some hot cocoa cause it was really cold outside
But there was no marshmellows
You should consider yourself lucky! Really!! What are the odds that you just happen to be in the vicinity of an invasion by space animals in flying weather balloons. You are a living witness to something fantastic and never recorded before in earths history.

Now for my fantastic, scary story. When I was 17 I felt like I had the whole world ahead of me. The rivers were filled with chocolate and the trees were all gum drop. Then, one fantastical night I met this girl, her looks were mesmerizing. We fell in love and dated heavy. None of our friends could find us for the thick smoke around us... We were on fire! Then, one day as we were taking a walk in the swamp, fate dealt a stealthy blow. This ungodly creature which strongly resembled the Creature from the Black Lagoon attacked us with tiger like speed and knocked me to the ground, rendering me unconscious. When I awoke, my girl was bloated and then her water broke and she fell to the ground panting and blowing hard and fast and then out popped a slimy, green lil baby swamp thang. I reached in my pocket for my knife but she grabbed my wrist and said, " No, it's still my baby." Well, he was kinda cute I guess and we named him Gilliam. He wouldn't eat Gerber so I had to hunt worms daily. All's well now, life goes on. He's in college and all the girls have the hots for him. That's my boy.
I watched a thing on Discovery Channel.
It was about how to know if your house is haunted.
You had to put a glass on the table and then pour a little bit of flour around it.
I was like "oooooh looks cooooool, gonna try that sometime!"
And I did.
The next morning the glass I placed in the living room was now on the kitchen table.
I kinda freaked out!
Awesome stories, i whas scared like shit last night when i read them. :)
I was exploring a disused and rotting mental asylum near my house one day, I was on the second floor of the nurses quarter checking out one of the rooms which had a bath with some mysterious fermenting black substance in it.
Upon leaving that room I glanced down a long coridoor to my left and saw a figure walk across it. I then proceeded to GTFO.
Here is a picture of the actual Asylum I was in

It was simular to that coridoor, but about 3 times as long, spanning the entire length of that quarter and much darker.
what's the asylum called?

Their are some mighty creepy things in this thread, kind of makes me scared to be awake somewhat.
Anyway me, my brother (Identical twin brother as a matter of fact!) and a friend where near said friends house.
He lives on an estate that consists mainly of a very large old peoples home, with many flats for the old people, and large manor for the nurses and extra-important old people. Now, their is never anyone walking around out their, it's very much a quiet place, there's occasionally a window cleaner or a janator walking around, but not much else. Now, the manor is at the top of a small hill, and commercial housing is at the bottom (where this friend lives) and the flats are around the hill, with a park thing in the middle. (irrelevant but it gives a better image) So, this friend isn't especially wealthy, and so often goes outside for fun, and he often talks about the strange happenings of where he lives, much to the delight and huge interest of me and my brother (we are both very interested in unusual-ness) So, on to the actually interesting part. We walk up the hill, behind the old peeps homes and behind the manor, where there is a vent for the air conditioning (it smells of old and digestives, seriously) we play around with the wind and look around for a little bit and then suddenly!
We wheren't paying attention behind us, and when we did we saw something quite interesting.
It was an elderly woman. (definately not a nurse i can assure you) She just stood there, looking at the base of a small tree behind us. She didn't speak or look at us, our friend even said "Hello..?" to which she didn't look up or respond to. By now we where all looking uneasily at each other, and for a joke, said friend even waved his arms frantically to get her attention. No luck. After a small while, she walked back around the side of the manor, us slightly scared and curious, went walking after her. And what do you know? she was gone. we ran around the entire building, hell even going inside the manor a little bit looking for her. Again no luck.
She had either ran, nay sprinted like a greased lightning weasel down a buttered luge, or she was a ghost. Now, i have never actually seen a ghost this none-vivid before, so it was quite surprising. Looking back, their is extra evidence. Something had made us all turn around, nobody had said anything to warn the others of her presence, we just all turned around almost in unison. We started theorizing about why she was looking at the tree, thinking that their might be something under their. we never looked. I recently went to his house, and found that-that specific tree had gone missing. They had built a new wheelchair ramp and for some reason opted to remove the tree. guess i'll never know...
Their have been absolutely shit-tonnes of stuff that have been creepy involving me and sleep.
And another bizzarre thing, is that once whilst in a class, the "tough" chavs that get all the girls and have no brain where talking. You know how when your not listening to anyone, it's just noise? well i was sitting next to my friend again, and we both very clearly heard the word "runescape" being said, not in mocking way. A conspiracy perhaps? maybe their not so tough after all?

North Wales Hospital.
Also known as 'Denbigh Mental'
I have a nice little story, although nothing spectacular.
When I was young, like 7 years. During night in my room I always heard weird crackling noises from my ceiling. It was pretty noisy and I was scared as hell. Shit, sometimes I just slept peacefully and suddently this noise starts, it really freaked me out.
It happened also at daytime, still not as often. So afterall I told my parents about it. They claimed I was dreaming or just scared of the dark. I didn't believe me, old fucks.
Well after few months it was still there and I was really scared and couldn't sleep properly. I thought my room was haunted. Furthermore the sound ceased whenever my parents entered the room.
So one time my mom entered the room and heard it. Finally someone believed me. So she was frightened to. Then we called some kind of specialist who checked the ceiling. After a day, the result was that we had fucking mouses running through that part of the ceiling.
Fucking bitches gave me nightmares.
Oh and if enough people want me to, i'll create a thread to dump my mass of experiences that have plaguing me all my life (mainly stuff about counciousness, time and a hypothesis on my reality)
It'll be a culmination of many things i've posted on threads like these previously, and some new stuff.

Does anyone else think this looks like it belongs in the Zone?
I have one pretty bizarre story.
I was walking home after spending the day out with some mates, and it was getting pretty dark. As I approached my home, I saw a figure approaching me from the bottom of the road. This wasn't unusual and didn't bother me because it was pretty normal to walk past a few people on the way back. The difference was that as this guy got closer, I noticed that he looked completely and utterly fucking insane. Now bare with me, because I'm not the best at descriptions. He had long, shaggy, unkept hair and was wearing a mask like the one below, except it looked far more realistic and freaky.

He was also walking slightly odd with what seemed like a slight limp and wore a coat that shrouded his entire body, he was also extremely tall. What freaked me out the most about this guy though was his hand movements, he had the veiniest and most bony hands I've seen in my entire life, and he kept tensing them and untensing them while twitching somewhat violently every now and again. I remember feeling extremely relieved when I walked past him without any issues (No idea why I didn't cross over the road or something and brushed by him instead). I sprinted as fast as I could when I turned around and he was just standing there staring at me though, I've honestly never been so fucking freaked in my entire life. As soon as I got back home I remember my mother asking me what was wrong and why I looked so pale, I also vividly remember cautiously looking out the windows every now and again, shutting the curtains and bolting the doors shut.
Looking back, it was probably someone acting and purposely trying to scare the shit out of people to amuse themselves. Regardless of who they were or what their intentions were, they certainly succeeded in terrifying the fuck out of me.

Someone in your family must of did it.
This was a few years ago, I had a nightmare. I attempted to burn a piece of paper on the floor with matches. When I spat on it, it turned into lava and started burning the carpet.
And then I got 7 more fire/lava-related nightmares a month later :ohdear:.
Well, a pretty scary thing happened the other day. I got invited to a social outing... a party if you will. Now as far as I can tell from the situation, the idea was to walk into a town not far from here (about half an hour walk), go to a shop and buy "booze". Well, two prominent problems already being that I have no money and I am under the legal age to buy alchohol.
But wait, that's not it, it gets even scarier after that. After the realization that I would not be getting drunk around a bunch of drunk people finally wore off, I told the party organizer, my "mate", as most would call him. He said it was alright and that I would "blaze" with him instead. After a short trip to Google and subsequently urbandictionary.com, I finally figured out that this was technical jargon for "lighting up a fatty". After assuming that this was none other than marijuana, I decided that the best course of action was to go along with it until he gives me the spliff, then call the police on the party.
I will be saved by the clutches of a fireman with strong arms and hopefully it will all turn out to be a dream.
But if you don't want to read that, then basically I got invited to a party, where I'm gonna smoke pot with a friend who is lending me a couple spliffs. This is pretty much the first party I've been invited to since I was a toddler. I'm not a social animal, I don't thrive on it, I'm very much like Raj from The Big Bang Theory when around girls (except I drink, so it's even worse). I've never smoked anything other than a lone cigarette before and so I'm am quite anxious.
This was probably the wrong thread.
Its the drugs.
