This is different. It was the most horrifying and yet the hardest to describe experience of my life. Happened on December 18th. We got out of school as usual. Nothing stood as to suggest how my evening would unfold. I was baffled at the snowfall we were getting this early for my area. I decided to go out and recapture that Christmas spirit. I dressed somewhat-appropriately for the weather and made my way down the driveway to the street. There is something you must know though. We live in fucking backwoods nowhere. The closest actual town is called Tappahannock. Only made famous for being the birthplace of Chris Brown. What a legacy. Anyway, the street was deserted as usual. It only runs a few hundred meters before connecting with Route 17 on both sides. I came to our office building on the edge of our property and just stared across into the street for a while. Oddly, though I tolerate cold rather well, I was not cold in these conditions. What happened next I can only describe as otherworldly. I was overcome by that long-lost winter joy and the Christmas spirit. Then everything took a turn. Shit got surreal, serene. Peaceful. Too goddamn quiet. I was lost in my own winter wonderland. Ever have that sensation of spinning as you slip into REM sleep? Suddenly, everything came crashing down. I was spinning. I was mortified and paralyzed. I couldn't hear and from here on, memory gets blurry. I almost felt like I had a top-down view of myself. Remote viewing? We'll leave that to the hippies and conspiracy theorists. I was hearing cars and talking although I was far away from anyone else. I was running and completely numb. No sensation or perception of cold. I was getting the fuck back home. I kept seeing glances of figures. I heard a ringing in my head like I've had with sleep paralysis. I felt like I was being overpowered. Since then, my already present migraines and stomach pain has worsened. For a few days, I was awestruck. Time seemed to slip by so quickly. I was tired 24 hours a day and everything was kind of fuzzy. I can't recall hardly anything from those following uneventful days. I must live in the fucking Twilight Zone. I've grown accustomed to things like this. I've actually had a similar experience on those backwood streets. There's just some odd allure to them.
I also used to live in Central Va, Fredricksburg to be precise. Personally saw two ghosts while living there. Mother saw a few as well. My mother and I never knew we each saw ghosts till a while back when we were talking about that kinda stuff. I was only about 7 when I lived there but the one I remember the most distinctly. My father traveled alot when we lived in fredricksburg because he worked in D.C so quite often it was just My mother, sister, and myself at home. My sister and I would sleep in my moms bed when my dad was out of town. One night we were all sleeping and for some reason I woke up. I looked around the room and saw a shadow in the bathroom. I closed my eyes and did like every person says "Its not real, Its not real" I opened my eyes and the shadow moved forward till it was standing in the doorway. He was quite tall and dressed in an old uniform, I couldent makeout the color but it had 2 rows of buttons going down the front and an odd hat on his head. He had a beard as well. He didnt look at us or anything but instead just stood there as if guarding something. I stopped being scared and just fell asleep. The strange thing is once we moved away my mother and I were talking about ghosts and she said every so often when my father was out of town she would see a ghost in the room. She discribed the ghost that I saw as well. She told me at first she was scared but later she wasent scared. We figure he was just some kind of person guarding us from whatever. But personally I do believe in ghosts/spirits that crap. But not the shit you see on tv like ghost whisperer and bullshit like that. I have no clue about religion or any of that but I do believe ghosts/spirits exist.

For the sake of being skeptical/neutral, I'll call them something ghost hunters are fond of using: "apparitions". Whenever I'm around one, I usually never see it. My hearing is fine-tuned toward subtle sounds so I always hear weird shit. I have very sensitive sight as well. I see things many do not. I can hear ringing whenever any kind of electronic is on. A TV or radio perhaps. Always. So naturally, I hear things that usually only dogs or other sensitive animals do. I see movement and figures. I hear whispers, scratches, all that jazz. And I'm a very "sensitive" person. I feel what people call "presences". I also get a strong sense of foreboding when something major happens. I also can sort of sense things about a person. So obviously, I see and hear weird shit all the time. I do have an active imagination but I've been able to discern what is off my own insanity and what is not. I frequently "feel" such things. I've also experimented with crystals, made famous by TV clairvoyants and "psychics". I would recommend you try such things if you're ever back in the area. Mind you, I do it for the experience, I don't really believe in that whole mess. Investigating the "paranormal" is a favorite pastime of mine and I would recommend it to anyone who has a lust for science or is naturally curious.
Creepiest thing to happen to me was when I was staying in a converted barn during a holiday in the south of France. It was one of those houses way out in the country side with the nearest town being at least a mile away. Thanks to there being more people than beds I was forced to sleep in the living room, the largest and oldest area of the building. During the night the CD player turned itself on and started playing Edith Piath at full fucking volume, scaring the bejeebus out of me and it wouldn't turn off when I fiddled with the buttons. I ended up sharing a bed with someone else and we left the player on all night so we could see what was wrong the next day. Nothing creepier than Edith Piath singing to herself all night long.
I really dislike people who jump to paranormal conclusions. That shits not real, just like god, crop cirles, and things like big foot, yeti, lock ness monster, etc. People like that are the same people who invented god. They couldn't explain it, so they invented bullshit so they can comfort themselves at night or seem intelligent or whatever the reason it is you people do it. I really, rrreeeeaaaaallllyyyy hate it.
I too hate people who think stuff are.. ghosts.. yet they can be.. just waves. haha. that is why i am neutral.
i had to take a monster shit but it wouldnt come out. scary as hell
Oh god. I've been there. You want to get up off the shitter but you don't know when it will make its appearance. You can't just leave it teetering on the edge like that either. What I hate even more is when I get that ominous feeling before a shit of incredible proportions. Like you're about to get an asshole expansion worthy of five months in a federal pen.

I could tell so much more, but everyone would probably call bullshit and try to prove me wrong so I can't be assed. Anyhow, expanding on that electric noise thing. There have been a couple of times when I interacted with the computer without even touching it. Many a time I would think about closing a program or starting one up, even shutting down the computer, and it would do it; mind you most of the time, I was in a dilemma with myself whether to close it/start it/shut it down etc. Another time in my english class my teacher was starting to get a bit pissy because whenever she tried to log in, her computer would not connect to the network at all. I took a deep breath and told her to log in right now, somehow knowing it would work, and it did. Another time my history teacher was trying to keep all silent about his birth date, because I love to ask him random questions like what is his birthday and how many cats does he own etc. I cause a ruckus. Anyhow at first I felt like it was August at first, and he said nope, it's in the first half of the year. I felt and guessed March, I was correct, nothing special there. Then the other guys were trying to get him to say the exact day, and he was about to say it. I quickly told him to stop and said "the 18th!" and I was right again. But everyone shrugged it off, and one person laughed and was like "haha Mike.. What?... Are you a psychic now?! :v:". And that's a story for another time.
You could of pulled the power plug out. Or turned the lights on.
I wasn't ready for that, half asleep, half petrified. My first thought wasn't "unplug the CD player".

Also I've had similar experiences; whenever I get on my computer when I'm angry or I have something important to attend to (while I'm tense, or under stress) it always fucks up. Almost like it reflects my mood. One time my screensaver was on and I walk into my room, as soon as I got past the doorway, it came back to the home screen. Serious what the fuck moment since I have a very old ball mouse. It seems unlikely my footsteps would have jostled it. Whenever I turn my computer on to let it boot up and I leave the room, it always freezes or something odd happens. Whenever I suspect it to do such (like thinking "Feels like something's going to shit up...") it typically does. I've also had download speeds fluctuate by differentiating my thoughts. I suspect this just to be coincidental, but strange nonetheless.

Like whenever my mom or uncle use the computer, they always seem epic fails and talk about problems I never see. The moment I'm in the room, things start to go perfectly smooth again.
A story that riddles me everyday with fear happened when I was 13. It was 2002, and I was at Perry with my cousin. Perry is a small town, and we were at a forest looking around with his dad. Me, him, his dad, and my older brother of 15 were looking around. It was 10:00 PM and we were at the abandoned tracks. We found a lot of things like old war bond posters and such. At about 12:00, we decided to go back home. On the way out, I found a tape recording. Back home, we popped it in the tape player, and we heard a strange interview. A man talking to a woman about an apparent rape. It was going on about how a man tortured her and such. But then a weird thing happened. A crash followed by a scream happened. A gunshot happened, and then another one. The only sound after that was the gurgling of someone drowning in their own blood. My uncle told us to go to bed. He called in the incident, but both the peoples names were never recorded in Perry history. The crime has since become a cold case. The gurgle of a person drowning in their own blood haunts me to this day.
Maybe it was another friend of yours who happens to be smarter than you lot. Also: Sheep pen? Those barns look nothing like pens nor pencils.
I think I have ESP of some kind. This happens almost every night. Like I'll remember something from a show randomly during the day, and then when I flip on the TV that night, that same exact moment or episode is on. The first few times, I shrugged it off as coincidence. But the fact that it happens so often is kind of creepy :ohdear:
I live in a house that is about 150 years old. Civil-war era, right in the middle of it back in the day. I live in central Virginia you see. People always find old ammunition and shit buried around my property. I've found a few interesting bits myself. This was only for some perspective, not the whole story. We constantly have bizarre experiences. We've confirmed that the wife of the house's first owner died in the bedroom right next to mine. Records indicate she died of a fever from a case of whooping cough. When I was three, guess what I caught. Whooping cough. My mom constantly heard footsteps around my bed when I was ill yet she knew she was alone. Everyone who has been in my house for over and hour or so, with or without me giving them the history, has seen or experienced something odd if not downright paranormal. Now, I'm a partial skeptic of these events; I want to believe, but I'm not quite convinced yet. We've had tons of shit go down. A friend of mine hates my house; she reported a levitation inside of somebody. Of course, I don't believe this. It's just one of her stories I'm sure. But my mom, when she slept in the bedroom of the dying woman, had terrible, lucid nightmares. Night terrors you could almost call them. We've all caught glances of figures, heard steps, movement, had lights come on. And I shit you not, we've had objects moved right in front of our very eyes and lights turn on at night. All of Hollywood's favorite horror movie clichés. I'll be upfront with you, if I were being told this, I wouldn't believe it; we've had fucking dishes fly off tables, man. I still don't credit it with "ghosts" though. I find it silly to think I know the cause when science of the natural and the not-so-natural has only come so far. There is much too much more to see and to discover before I make the call. I kind of favor the mystery though. I have some other interesting shit to tell if FP is interested.
Oh my God, every house in Virginia is built on top something civil war or another, it's why there are like 4000+ ghost story books written about Virginia Now my story is really spooky for me, as I remember it so well, when I was little, I was sitting in my room playing some game on my PS1, enjoying myself. I went into my own bathroom to do my business, and I came back turned the lights off, and went to bed. I woke up because my play station AND my tv turned on, lord knows how. So I was spooked at this point, but stayed in my room anyway. I got up with the covers covering most of me, slapped the tv off and nearly kicked my damn PS1 into the wall, and jumped into bed and hid in the corner. About 2 years later, I just turned around, and saw a blue/gray little boy hiding behind my shelf, as soon as I looked at him, he disappeared right before my eyes, thats about when I swore my first curse and ran out of the house, and slept over with my friend, playing Mario and lugi's haunted mansion into the wee hours of the night. I'm in the very same room right now as where I saw the boy, and now i'm not going to be able to sleep :ohdear:
About 1 year ago I woke up. Then I felt all weird and closed my eyes again, but couldn't open them, and I couldn't move or talk. It went away in about a minute but it was weird because I thought I was never going to be able to open my eyes or move again.
...Shit Evil check that shit out. Maybe you should talk to a penis doctor? or goast doctor
One time, my cousins and I had been returning from a trip from Las Vegas. On the way, we where near a cow pen. It was late, near 1 in the morning, and to my right, was a glowing object no more then 12 feet in the air. It was full of turning plates, very small, and dimond in shape. I'm guessing it was a weather balloon, but still freaked the shit out of me.
One time when I was visiting back in Bulgaria I was staying in my Grandma's apartment with my mom and my sister. I had to share the futon with my sister and my mom slept on the other couch. It was around 10:30 and we were watching T.V. when my sister decided to go to sleep and she fell asleep fucking fast. Afterwards my mom fell asleep quickly as well. At 11:30 I decide to go to sleep so I turn the T.V. off and fall asleep fast. Suddenly I wake up and say: "ok mom I'm turning the tv off now to sleep" when I pick up the remote I realize the tv is already off and then I come to realize what happened. So I try to lay back down except I look and at the foot of my bed there is a dark figure shaped like a human who reaches down to me. As I pull back it disappears. I was scared shitless. But I have since blamed it on my imagination.

[EDIT: Wow sorry about how long it is, didn't realize i had described in such detail] i don't really have much to offer in the ways of Scary Stories, i shall do my best though... At my old house that i moved from just recently, many years ago (i was oh say 12 or so) the street i lived on ended at a dead end just less than a block down from my house. the dead end had 2 road block signs, barb wire, and a small clearing behind it. (this clearing was quite small and surrounded by trees) the forest started there and continued for quite a while. now for the first couple times i tried to enter this forest, i never got past the first area, the grass to the right (in a larger clearing) was much higher than i, and i couldn't get far in it. so i really had nowhere to go, but one day i went to the road blocks, and all the grass in the large clearing was cut. me and my friends went in the forest, there was a little place built there (like a clubhouse of sorts made of fence boards.) now this in itself was slightly creepy, i mean the forest always was quite dark, and seemed so alive. but there was a cross nailed to a tree, that had fallen over. a little doorway thing made of planks that lead to what was marked as a graveyard, and most creepy (or least depending on Your opinion) was a mattress, now at first glance You think its got a huge blood stain on it. but come on really? it must have just been mud or something... in any case this area seemed to be the only accessible place save for one long pathway through the trees, this pathway had trashbags and lots of bits of junk that all together just plainly looked creepy. for a few weeks we all just stayed in the front. but after a while we began daring eachother to go down the path. i (having the misfortune to get dared by everyone in one day, and called a coward) went down this creepy path. now 2 things made it even worse. i was alone, and there was voices i could hear. i went down the path, it went and instantly turned to the left. after a few steps there was a carpet patch. with a large stain on it. (dont know what the stain was but i didnt plan on finding out) i walked past it, but when i did, i stepped on the carpet. now not only did every voice i heard stop talking, but somehow in the dark it got darker... needless to say i was ready to go but i turned around and saw i was 3 steps from the turn. i kept walking (i wouldnt take being called a coward lightly) i got to a small clearing with a large toppled over tree. i didnt want to get to far into the clearing, but i figured id touch the dead tree, turn around, and leave. i got halfway there when the voices returned (slowly) and i saw something move behind the tree... i ran back to the carpet (doing my best to slow down and not look scared) returned to my friends and insisted we leave really soon... i have never felt that scared, but every time i go out to that forest (we now have explored much deeper into the forest) i can remember that shaped, and i still run past that area. Not the best of stories but its all i got.

One time when I was 7 or 8, me, my brother and my parents we're moving around. We found this cool house in a small neighborhood, we liked it and decided to rent it out. One day when we were moving in me and my brother were really bored. We decided to play some hide and seek in the new house. So basically I started counting, he hid. I went to go look for him around the house. It's a two story house and we have this room directly under the staircase that's sort of like a closet room. Anyways I went around and looked for him, I came up to the closet/understair room. I was about to open it up when the doorknob started moving. I was sure he was in there and before he opened it up completely I grabbed the door handle and opened it also. The room was fucking empty. I don't really remember what I did after that, but I'm pretty sure I freaked out or something. It scares me more to this day then it did when it happened due me being 7 and not questioning or understanding most things. Now that's not all of it, now sometime later, when I've probably forgotten all about the doorknob thing, one day when I'm playing around I hear my dad cough, he was at work or something as I recall, so when I hear this I immediately say to my mom "Dad's home!" and this weirds my mom out for some reason. She answers "Umm.. No he's not?" Then she scans the house for him only to find out he's still at work? End of story we moved out.
I was on the bus on the way home from school, and I started to walk off when I noticed the driver had opened to door, but the bus was still going about 10 Ks down the street. By the time I noticed, it was too late, and I had stepped out. I attempted to walk forward, down the path, yet for some reason, maybe the motion, I slid towards the right for about 10 meters. I didn't trip or anything, I just slid. I then had trouble walking home, It felt like I was walking in knee deep water. When I finally got home, I said hi to my dad, and took off my bag, just as usual. I then didn't remember anything. When I woke up, my dad said he heard my bag fall to the floor as I took it off, and walked in to offer me a hot dog, as he was making a early dinner. When he walked in, he saw me standing there, staring to my right with a blank look, then I collapsed to the ground. I now often feel woozy if I move to the right while facing forward. :ohdear:
No such thing.
Not true some people remember things in words and others remember it in vivid imagery.
