Stories of scary/bizzarre things that happened to you
I think I have ESP of some kind. This happens almost every night. Like I'll remember something from a show randomly during the day, and then when I flip on the TV that night, that same exact moment or episode is on. The first few times, I shrugged it off as coincidence. But the fact that it happens so often is kind of creepy :ohdear:
I have that. But It happens to me while asleep. I then go about my day, and then I get the feeking of De Dja Vou. Then I relise I've already seen it happen.
Sleep paralysis.
Saw my heart get cut out by something in a hooded robe.
Could feel it.
Told story to Facepunch about four times.
Was sitting at a park bench in these apartments, eating a pizza with my friend, a squirrel jumps out of the bushes and throws a lighter at us, and it ended up being a lighter I dropped there a long time ago.
One time I was with my Gram-pal's house out in the bum-fuck no where in the country. Really old house also. I was like 13 at the time, this happened a few years ago. Anyways, it was at night, I was sleeping on a mattress next to my Gram-pal's bed and for some reason I opened my eyes and looked out of the room. He had no door and the only thing that covered his doorway was like this privacy glass thing and I saw a shadowy figure. And since it's only me and him in the house, I started to shit brix badly.
I just pulled the cover's over my head and closed my eyes....then I heard footsteps...then I like...felt someone next to me and they kept saying. "It's going to be okay.." Over and over, I was freaking the fuck out, soon after I pulled the covers off out my head. There was nothing there. I was so fucking scared.
Another weird story is that one night about a year ago my uncle told me to go out on our deck and look at the sky. I did and what was happening was fucking freaky, there was like, flashes of light, like if it was thunder or lighting. And there were only patches of it, and there were NO clouds what so ever. None at all, so I was like "Maybe it's a storm near us or something." Checked the weather. NO STORMS AT ALL!
So I went back outside and then, I saw far away was a UFO moving in the sky, it wasn't close or anything but I could tell by how it was moving then I just see it dash off and it's gone. I see a few of those, which was freaky as hell, now here where it gets even more creepy. Me and my uncle see like a falling star or something and I just jokingly said. "Heh, what if it's an alien egg." And no sooner after that, we here this weird loud screeching sound, like extreamly unhuman and non animalistic. It was in our neighbors backyard which was pitch black, we shine a light back there, one of those huge massive spot lights but find nothing.
Then later we see a black small shadowy figure start moving on the back of our yard and just vanish behind our other neighbors shed. After that we just head inside, lock the doors and go to bed, and the sky was still going crazy while all this was happening.
There are my two storys, both true...I really wish I Had video of the second one sadly..
I started walking down the street. On my right was a few acres or so of woods, and on my right a not-so-nice-place-to-walk-at-night neighborhood. I used to do this every few nights or so, so I'm used to seeing gangsters in shitty vans and various angry looking immigrants parking on the side of the road, along with the sudden appearance of deer all the time. I almost got mugged there one time as well.
There is a guy walking in front of me on the road. It's quiet, there's a red sky from the light pollution, and the woods aren't just pitch black, they're silent. Car comes driving down the road, and without warning on the opposite side of the road, in the tops of the trees, comes a fucking snarling sound along with the snapping of trees and collapse of branches. Instantly I look up and glance, and what appears to be a gigantic... thing of some kind like a large animal jumps to another tree branch. The guy in front of me stops and stares up at the same place too, and people who were standing outside, practically run indoors. I almost run up the hill glancing behind me every few seconds or so.
I figured it was a mountain lion of some sort sitting in the trees and broke the branches as it fell due to it's weight. Scared the absolute hell out of me.
My girlfriend is pretty much tormented by this weird tapping sound coming from her ceiling. It happens at random but mostly occurs when she turns the lights off in her room to sleep. Well the weird thing is that it follows her around the room and whenever she leaves her room it stops. So I suggested that there could be a small animal up there but she explains that when the cable guy was there to fix a couple of shit in the attic above her room, she asked him if he saw any nests, small animals, or possible entrances/exits for a small animal to fit through. Nothing there. It only happens when she's alone in her room and never happens when ever any of her friends are with her. Last night she called me in the middle of the night waking me up because the tapping started again.
She then told me about a time when the tapping started and she wanted to test something out. Right when there was a pause in the tapping, she tapped back to see if it would tap too. Well, whenever she tapped, it would respond to her. She got so scared she ran out of her room and into her mom's room. It didn't follow her though.

And you didnt offer to stay in her room all night with her to protect her from the big bad tapping man?
And you didnt offer to stay in her room all night with her to protect her from the big bad tapping man?
Whenever I can't and have to stay home I stay on webcam with her to help comfort her.
Didn't exactly happen to me, but I was around at the time so whatever.
About 8 years ago after moving into a very old house in the country, we were having some building work done on the attic. The builders we hired were classical no nonsense tough guys, all of them were pretty sorted, and you probably wouldn't want to mess with them. At one point during the contruction, when there were just two of the 5 builders up in the attic, the rest were with me and my dad in the kitchen getting something to drink, we heard a really loud scream and some crashing about from upstairs. As we were going to investigate the two builders came running down the stairs, white as sheets. I've honesly never seen anyone so scared shitless in my entire life. When they calmed down my dad said "Well, you two look like you've seen a ghost or something," laughing it off. They told him that they had indeed actually seen a ghost. They described her as a middleaged woman in victorian style clothing, sat in a rocking chair in the corner of the room.
Of course when we went up to have a look we found nothing, but those two builders quit the job and various strange things have happened in the house ever since. Some of the lights turn themeselves on and off randomly, chairs spin or move, and according to my dad (I've never heard/seen this happen), the doors will open and slam shut, but I reckon that could just be the wind.
Also, my computer at my mums house is haunted, it turns itself on at night :tinfoil:
Computers do on by themselves if there is something worng with the wires. There is nothing wrong. Just ask a repairman to check on it.
Whatever that may be 'creepy' to you guys, is probably normal. I see doors closing by themselves, because there were some fucking strong winds outside. I heard sounds, which happen to be a combination of several animals, or electronics.
Why do people always have to scare themselves thinking its something creepy. Just treat it normally. I go to so called haunted houses before, but they are just fucking abandoned. No fucking ghost. I took pictures of people's grave expecting to see a 'ghost', and nothing happens.
Flickering lights, aka faulty lights.
And figures might simply be people walking pass, or the sun casting a shadow on that guy.
I tried everything to get myself creeped out, but it doesn't. It is your mind playing tricks on you. Our brain is a really complex system, sometimes, it can go a little fucked up.
TIP: Don't fucking think of creepy things.
Every night when I was younger, I would always hear a low pitched humming noise. I would dread going to bed as I was terrified. One night I woke up at around 2AM and saw a shadowy blurry thing dart away and the humming got a bit quieter. Years later I believe the humming was Tinnitus or the Central Heating. Still creeps me out thinking about that shadow though.
One of mine, where it was 2:15am and i was going to bed when i stopped and saw the front door handle slowly go down. There was someone putting pressure against it as the door what it sounded like. I just loled and carried on upstairs. I was walking out of the kitchen beforehand when the light was on which is situated facing towards outside so they must of known i was in.
when i go to sleep my computer goes to sleep mode, and sometimes it wakes up itself, so i usually flip the mouse upside down but it keeps happening sometimes even after that
damn zombie goasts won't let me sleep:mad:
Right, so i live in the Swedish countryside, best place in the world to grow up as a young boy, soccer fields, lakes, high trees and all that stuff. I was kind of an adventurous kid, i climbed shit all the time (broke my arm and lost a lot of blood due to this but thats another story) and i had a friend who was exactly like me, in fact, people usually thought we were brothers because of how similar we were.
Anyway the area i live in was hit pretty hard by industrialization about one hundred years ago, so there are a lot of abandoned houses in the woods around here. My friends older brother had told us about this old minkfarm on the far side of the woods, and about a million stories about the owner who also died there (this part is true, every other story was probably false tho). We knew about this place for about a month before we went there, and the stories just kept on going, we made some up to scare each other because neither of us wanted to go there, and we wanted the other one to chicken out.
One day we finally decided we would check it out, we equipped ourselves with flashlights, lighters, and knives. We started walking at about 9 PM since the sun stays up forever in Swedish summers. When we arrived i was freaked right the fuck out by the house, it was everything i had imagined, an old wooden building with broken windows, flailed paint, trashed fencing and stains on the floor. As we entered my friend told me that the owner of the farm used to hand minks from the ceiling and let them starve to death rather than killing them the traditional way, so that the fur would not be damaged and be worth more money.
"Yeah, i know" i said, "Thats what those stains on the floor is, its blood, you know how animals try to gnaw thru their legs and arms to get out of traps right?"
No answer, we continue to explore the house, and we started getting somewhat more comfortable with the place, telling each other more bogus stories about how the place was haunted etc, opened every locker and checked out the old stuff that was left behind after the owner died. There was a large amount of knives in the house, all with wierd discolorations on them, we couldn't figure out if it was blood or just rust.
It was getting both dark late and we decided it was time to leave, we were somewhat upset at the time because there was one room on the second floor we couldn't get in to, it had a huge lock and was heavier, thicker, than the other doors. As we left, i told my friend to hold on a second because i needed to tie my shoelace, i got down on my knees and started fiddling with them, my friend started to look around as if he was bored, and tried open the old stove right next to him, it was rusty as hell and probably even older than the house, but after about a minute of pulling he managed to open the hatch.
And then i heard the loudest, and most terrifying sound i have ever heard, it was a metallic screech for about a second and then a loud boom that shook the floor so hard a painting fell of the wall. "WHAT THE FUCK?!" we both yelled in chorus, and lit our flashlights. Right between us, not more than a meter away from crushing us both, a huge metal cage had fallen thru a hatch in the ceiling, it was filled to the brim with tiny bones, pelts and various metal objects such as knives, boxes, chains and an old timey iron.
Then we saw what really freaked us out, one of the pelts moved, a mink was alive!
This is where we both screamed and got the fuck out of there and never went back. To this day i cant believe i came that close to getting crushed.
Everything except for the cage is real, it was a dishwasher, not a cage :)
My laptop likes to put its self on porn all the time
Thats my story and i'm sticking to it
I'm Bisexual for about 5 years and no one didn't knew about it. When I told it to two my best friends and pretended that I want to sleep with them they were scared because no one of them would not ever thought about sleeping with a man. After two weeks one of them said that he have feelings to me now, and after another week second one said that there is nothing bad with sleeping with the person who have same interests as you and you spend so much time together.
Then we had a threesome.

Sweden rocks :D I really don't have any scary stories myself, but i have seen a thread on a swedish forum about a guy that found a small shed in a forest just outside a castle (we have alot of those in sweden). His m8 had heard about it and didn't believe it existed, but since they lived in the area they went out there with flashlights and a camera. They eventually found the little shed, it had a simple little lock on it and the windows were all covered with wooden planks etc. The lock on the door was broken, so they open it up.. What they find is 12(i think) wooden coffins 4 of them were child sized, and a large cross on one of the walls.
They proceed to walk into the place, taking pictures etc. At first they thought that it was for a movie or something, you know, cheap movie props. But as they closer examined the chests, they found that one of the child coffins were opened. There was an actual corpse in it, ofcourse it was quite rotten etc. since it was like 200 years old or something.. At first i didn't believe the guy, like, why would you not bury them.. Why would you leave 12 coffins in a shed like that?! But after a while the guy uploaded pictures of this..
It freaked me out to say the least. So yeah people started thinking that there may have been some sort of satanic ritual or something in there.. It was freaky!
The creepiest fucking thing happened to me in Germany.
I had just entered a hotel and decided to go for a shower, coming out I looked in the mirror.
My vague reflection in the fogged up mirror had a glowing left eye. It wasn't the light reflected in the mirror, I stood outside the bathroom with the light off and it was still there. It was no trick of the light. Wiping away the steam, it looked fine. But there was something really eerie about it.
Just this bright white light coming from my eye, with a lens-style ring around it.
I may have been hallucinating, I had spent the day in a boiling tent and was really out of it.
I think the creepiest thing that has ever happened to me was when I was staying over at a friends house a few years back and he had a huge old fashioned house, he left quickly to get some food and shit with his mum and I was left at his house alone. I was on the third floor with the door shut playing on his computer when the power just completely cut out.
I cursed and opened his door to see if the rest of the house was also out and when I looked down the really long corridor I noticed something odd, the door to the room at the end was open extremely wide even though I had never seen the door unlocked in my life. I started to leave the room I was in to investigate when I saw a dark humanoid figure just standing in the doorway, needless to say I instantly shat myself and ran back to his room, flinging the door shut behind me, bolting it and barricading it shut.
I heard noises from the other side of the door and what sounded like footsteps for the hour that I was alone in the house, when he came back and the lights turned on I was completely freaked out and refused to open the door until I confirmed it was him by his voice.
I never thought it was paranormal but rather just a burglar or something although nothing other than the door which should have been locked was out of place and there didn't seem to be anything missing either.
I blame this on an overreactive imagination but that doesn't change how much that fucking creeped me out at the time.
This is probably fits more into the bizarre category, but it scared me to fuck. It happened about 6-7 years ago when I was about 13. I woke up in the middle of the night (about 3am) for the toilet. I tiredly made my way to the bathroom and stood there getting on with it, staring out into the dark. Our bathroom window faces out onto our driveway, which is the entire length of that side of our house. So there I stood pissing away, when a person casually walks past the window, coming from the direction of our back garden. He stops when he sees me and then just stares at me as if to say, "what's your problem?". He stood there for a couple of seconds until another person entered the frame of the window. He looks at the first guy, then appeared to be quite startled when he saw me, and the pair of them rushed off, slamming our front gate closed behind them. I heard one of them say "did you see that boy?" as they ran off. Why were two people lurking around the back of my house in the dead of night? Were they just a bunch of idiots making their way home from a party and taking a shortcut, or were they trying our doors? It really, really scared the shit out of me, and still when I'm in the bathroom at night I get pretty anxious in case somebody walks by.
Also I want to say that I'm pleasantly surprised a thread like this has been posted on FP and hasn't been totally ruined by people fishing for funnies. It feels a tiny bit like SA in here :v:
I was "sleeping" one night and when I looked out my window I saw 2 yellow figures walk by my window. :tinfoil:
Old house layout,

It was about 11 am on a Friday, this about 2 years ago, I used to live with my housemate in Clayton a suburb of Melbourne, we had just recently purchased a house together her father helped us choose it, it was a medium sized house with 2 bedrooms which was all we needed, we got it REALLY cheap due to the face that there was a large unfinished room. We decided it would be a really fun thing to turn the room into a bar, all went well the first night, all went well the second, but on the third night, I awoke to the sound of foot steps in the bathroom and the shower turn on, I assumed it was my house mate Celina so i went back to sleep, about 15 minutes later, I heard Cel say "Fucking hell Im trying to sleep in here" I suddenly yelled back, "I'm in fucking bed" she replied "um who is in the shower?" I lurched up out of my bed, and swung open the door and turned on the light, the shower was off, and nobody was there, but we had both heard it turn on. We didn't sleep the rest of the night.
About 2 months later, at night again i heard noise coming from the lounge room, i went to check it out, but there was nobody there, this is where it gets very messed up, after 3 months we finally decided to paint the renovated room, we went down and brought Cream colored paint, and some painting equipment, so over the course of 2 days we painted the room, on the third day we decided to do the final touches, i was really bored so i moved one of the smaller TV's into the room, i sat it on a table and plugged it in, and went back to find the remote, when i entered the room, i looked at the TV, and to my shock i saw a frail old man, painting the ceiling, he was standing on the ladder, i swung my head to my right and look at the ladder, but there was nobody there, I looked back at the TV, and there he was painting the ceiling, I shat myself and ran straight for the front door, It turns out that a previous owner of the house died in the same room, after falling from a ladder.
The next week we got all our shit out of there and moved to a different house. Scariest moment of my whole life.

Wow, that's really awesome, they probably thought you were a ghost or something :ghost:
I live in a house that is about 150 years old. Civil-war era, right in the middle of it back in the day. I live in central Virginia you see. People always find old ammunition and shit buried around my property. I've found a few interesting bits myself. This was only for some perspective, not the whole story. We constantly have bizarre experiences. We've confirmed that the wife of the house's first owner died in the bedroom right next to mine. Records indicate she died of a fever from a case of whooping cough. When I was three, guess what I caught. Whooping cough. My mom constantly heard footsteps around my bed when I was ill yet she knew she was alone. Everyone who has been in my house for over and hour or so, with or without me giving them the history, has seen or experienced something odd if not downright paranormal. Now, I'm a partial skeptic of these events; I want to believe, but I'm not quite convinced yet. We've had tons of shit go down. A friend of mine hates my house; she reported a levitation inside of somebody. Of course, I don't believe this. It's just one of her stories I'm sure. But my mom, when she slept in the bedroom of the dying woman, had terrible, lucid nightmares. Night terrors you could almost call them. We've all caught glances of figures, heard steps, movement, had lights come on. And I shit you not, we've had objects moved right in front of our very eyes and lights turn on at night. All of Hollywood's favorite horror movie clichés. I'll be upfront with you, if I were being told this, I wouldn't believe it; we've had fucking dishes fly off tables, man. I still don't credit it with "ghosts" though. I find it silly to think I know the cause when science of the natural and the not-so-natural has only come so far. There is much too much more to see and to discover before I make the call. I kind of favor the mystery though.
I have some other interesting shit to tell if FP is interested.
Nook, I love you, have my children.
Once, my friend was going out with a girl, and he wanted me to become "acquainted" with one of her friends. I talked to her on MSN and over Skype and I was having some good conversations. So we all planned to go to a city near where I live called Liverpool (us composing of me, my friend, my friend's girlfriend, her friend I was meant to be meeting and her other friend). The day before hand one of the girls friends contacted me and told me simply "she doesn't look like her picture", which confused me but i went along with the meeting anyway.
So the day came when we we're going to Liverpool. My friend's girlfriend's father picked us up and dropped us off by the train station. We boarded the train, it was the point of no return. WHen we arrived in Liverpool we went to meet the girl I had been talking to for the past few days, as she was already at Liverpool. Oddly, as we set off to meet her dark clouds grew above us and thunder ominously rang in the sky. As we reached closer to the meeting point, a horrible eerie feeling came over me, but if I ran away I would get lost in an unfamiliar city, and my friends would eventually find me anyway.
So we reached the meeting point, and on the horizon was one of the scariest sights I'd ever seen. It stood at approximately 6 foot 8, a unnatural, threatening, orange color to her skin, clad in a scarily huge jumper to fit her scarily huge visage. I prayed to god that this wasn't the girl I had come to meet. Then it waved at us and came directly over to me. I could not speak, for I was focusing all my energy on keeping myself breathing, which was difficult in the presence of such a fearful sight.
So I ran off. Then I met up with my friends when she had gone off somewhere. It was pretty scary. Didn't look anything like her display picture >.>
Several times, I went downstairs to the kitchen at night, and it looked like a pale white person was sitting in a kitchen chair, but it was just a coat hanging off the back.
Gets me every time.
Um... Shit. Oh I got one.
Last week we were on vacation in Tennessee. My cousin turned on the jacuzi tub and the light turned off, (which was previously turned on if you catch my drift.) My brother checked the light, but the switch had turned itself off. Us three all had "the feck" looks on our faces.
Although there was no other signs of paranormal activity in the room that night. But it was weird as shit.

You, your cousin, and your brother were in a hottub together with the light turned off? That's the drift I'm getting from that
It was around 4 in the morning last summer, and I had woken up early. My little brother sleeps in the same room as I because he's scared or something. I sit up to look at him to see if he is up. Then in a few seconds he sits up with his eyes closed, turns towards me, eyes still closed, and then lets out a silent scream. He instantly falls back down onto his bed and goes back to bed and I just whisper holy shit and hide under my covers. Then iI asked him about it later on and he says he doesn't remember.
Once I dreamt that my friend was messaging me on steam.
When I woke up I noticed that my friend had indeed messaged me on steam a few hours earlier.
There was no way I could have known as my speakers where off, scary shit man.
My older brother thought it was a good idea to take me urban spelunking when I was 8.
I was fucking horrified in fear.
Rate me boxes. thats the scariest I can get people.
