grew up catholic trust me they're the biggest ballbusters on the face of the earth even the whore ones
they're also for the most part pretty unintelligent when they play into the whole catholic school thing
yeah most atheists don't hate theists and most theists don't hate atheists. it's just atheists always hate certain theists and vice verca
This explains it. Horrible thread, possibly an attempt at trolling?
While I disagree with "Athiesm, the whole truth, nothing but the truth.." it was much better written.

Well yeah, that thread had more than like 20 words
It's like furries screaming that they should be accepted for wanting to fuck half human half animals in the ass.
Did you know that there are a very significant number of furries that don't even like that sort of thing? Lay off the frigging Encylopaedia Dysfuntional for a while. But I will not pursue this line of thought further. I'm not going to kick up a shitstorm. Besides, I know you like it. Come out to me. It's okay.
the OP is DUMB stupid cockshit idiocy DUMB STUFF

I'm atheist and i don't hate my family. so point number (1) is proven. My parents hate atheists and shun the non believers. point number (2):

are you one of those atheists that claim they wish they were raised religious because the religious get to believe they know all the answers and stuff? that's pretty condescending.

No, it's pretty much just the social stuff. I live in Alabama, moved here when I was 2 for some reason, and both my parents were atheists. As you can probably figure, there are a BUNCH of religious people down here, and the city I live in actually has a major Catholic church.
My parents always taught me that everyone in Alabama sucks and is dumb and a religious idiot. It doesn't help that they're both math professors who came home every day complaining about how they had to tutor these idiots.
So I started to believe that everyone in Alabama was an idiot, and for years I distanced myself from everyone. When I actually realized it wasn't so, it was a bit late.
Uhhhh... no we wouldn't.
All scientific theories have evidence to back them up, and those theories allow us to accurately test the world around us and make predictions accurately, then proceed to alter the world through them.
Many many theories were deemed impossible first. Einstein himself accused Planck of bullshit about his use of Quantum Theory.
Deeming things we can't prove as "impossible" forever is just wrong.
You are forgetting that these theories are created to explain and reach results the be thought would be impossible before.
Like the Kasimir Effect. Force out of nowhere? In a vacuum? Impossible! Newton says so! Lies, slander, scientific bullshit!
And now have a theory that explains it.
That's how development works. A problem or idea arises and people work to overcome it and make it happen. And many big things in the worlds were created because certai people ignored how everyone else said that their ideas were impossible.
Is there any atheist that doesn't hate theists, or any theist that doesn't hate atheists besides me here?
They far outweigh the more militant ones, they just don't post that often in these threads. The "silent majority", as it were.

To be perfectly honest, it sounds like you're aiming for a Pascal's Wager of scientific hypotheses, which is rather silly. Hypotheses without evidence are defaulted to being false until proven otherwise. Those things were proven otherwise, thus are accepted. Those that can't prove themselves, are rightfully dismissed. That is the scientific theory in motion.
Is there any atheist that doesn't hate theists, or any theist that doesn't hate atheists besides me here?
Hey there. Why do people give a fuck what others believe in? Just do your own thing and keep it to yourself.
And here comes the battle of who is the biggest victim, probably a good time to lock the thread, this is always where it goes to shit
oh fuck so much restraint required to avoid exploding all over the ignorant
Oh gross jesus fuck.
THIS JUST IN

Yeah welcome to the world of hypothesis to theory.
See you start off with an effect or result or even just an event which can't be explained, then you generate several hypotheses to explain it, then you test each hypothesis, the ones which seem to explain the effect is kept, then predictions are made and experiments are performed, these coincide with the hypothesis then lo and behold a theory is formed.
Now if there's no evidence, then the idea is discarded and a new one formed to fit the evidence.
And I said was right, an idea with no evidence found for it is treated as horse shit and false, all those ideas had evidence for them , they were simply updates of theories who had reached their bounds.
EVERYONE HURRY! Get underground to prepare for the incoming shit storm!
Here we go. Atheism vs Ideology. Good job op, you big retard you.

Bad ideas =/= bannable.
Oh boy one more rebilious teen who thinks he/she is cool for hating the bible
And now here's the weather
Hey there Chet how's the weather looking for this thread
Well Tom it doesn't look very good we've got a storm here heading towards the East and it appears to be full of fecal matter. I've highlighted it's direction on the map.

There is actually some, more or less (Whatever you want to fight for)archeologic/historical proof for the biblical events. It is atleast a fact that Jesus lived, was crucified and was considered somewhat significant at the time.
I hope I wont get answers in style "I don't care" or "that doesn't count"

Thousands were crucified and thousands claimed to be the son of god and were hailed as prophets, Jesus of Nazareth just happened to be able to get his name around a bit more than everyone else.
the religion vs. science debate seems to be fueled by people on both sides who have serious misconceptions about those on the opposing side
It arises from some folks misconception on what theory and evidence mean.

Sounds like some shitty parenting.
Most of these people atleast according to a list of messiah claimants I were reading were rebel leaders in Jesus' time leading a usually violent battle.
Edit: Not to forget latter agitators n' shit
Jesus didn't exactly rise against the opressors with axes and pitchforks. He led more of a teachers life.
Whats with all these anti-religious threads recently?
