By the world you mean America.
Yes, actually. I suppose I do. However I said world to fit in with the fact I was rephrasing the OP.

Isn't yusuf just "afgman's" alt? AKA the guy who made a thread about how he hates 1950-1999 because people wore Letterman jackets and video games were in 2D? He's not Christian, hes Muslim, hes made that clear in the past.
You guys though I was Christian?
Some examples of wars that were caused by religion All of the Crusades. Personally I do not have a problem with most people that are christian, but then there are those that stir shit up and just makes them all look bad (example Pope on his view of gays, calling them an abomination and that atheists are neo-nazis) OP you gotta accept atheists and not fight us, if you don't cause shit towards us, we wouldn't cause shit towards you
I want you to say to yourself all these wars were caused by Religion without any external factors having a play or role in it. Such as Culture, Territory, and money.
You guys though I was Christian?
Then why do you care for Christians? Are you trolling? :colbert:
Then why do you care for Christians? Are you trolling? :colbert:
One can relate? I mean honestly so much shit thrown at them for various reasons.
who refuse to acknowledge the benefits and that something can actually come of religion
I am sorry but I fail to see what religion actually brings to the table.
One can relate? I mean honestly so much shit thrown at them for various reasons.
This is making me :psyboom:
Then why do you care for Christians? Are you trolling? :colbert:
Like I said, he has trolled in the past.
This is making me :psyboom:
Not All Muslims hate Christians ok? If I see stupid douchebaggry I will speak against it.
Those darn hateful christian
There are so many religious debates on FP, I figure I'll just pick this random one to drop my 2 cents on. It seems like we're at the point in history where the enormous amount of scientific knowledge is causing a temporary decline in organized religion. However, I'd like to think that in the near future, people will hybridize religion and science to form rational, yet spiritual belief systems. I don't think they're at all mutually exclusive, unless certain figurative passages in the holy books are taken literally. It just seems like there are people on both sides (religious and atheist) who are so intolerant and stubborn that they refuse to see each other's merits.
Not All Muslims hate Christians ok? If I see stupid douchebaggry I will speak against it.
And not all Atheists actively try to antagonize Christians. But if I see stupid douchebaggery I will speak out against it.
And not all Atheists actively try to antagonize Christians.
Douche bags use Atheism as a tool to fuck with other people. One of My close friends is Atheist and he is the most morale man I have ever met besides he breaks some islamic law he is a very well brought up man.

edit nevermind read the thread
Smoke Koran-pages erryday.
You know that little thing called the ignore list? Try using it. Making threads like this isn't going to do shit, you'll just start arguments. My personal views are that I hate on religion because religion hates on people like gays, anyone of a different race, or even women. It causes more prejudice and hate than anything else. Obligatory haters gonna hate statement, just add them to your ignore list. Ignore it and move on. I see religious types saying atheists are going to hell etc all the time. You know what I do? I ignore it. I don't make a thread bitching about it. Somebody call the fucking waaaambulance.
This statement is not true at all. The people who hate on gays and other groups are just assholes who wear the Christian name. I don't believe being gay is bad, but I don't agree with it. That is different than just outright hating gay people. Extremist groups give religions bad names, not what the religion actually stands for.
As long as there is an internet, religion will get shit on because its followers are mindless sheep. Someone who is truly intelligent would be able to look through the options and say "this seems right for me". Someone who thinks they are destined from birth to follow one deity and one only is a seriously dense fucker.
Religion itself is ludicrous. The ideas are lesser so. In a religious standpoint, the house of any deity and any religious figurehead is bullshit, because god can speak for himself, he doesn't need some guy to act all 'official' about it. In my atheist standpoint, shut up and live as equal as everyone else, stop begging the supernatural for 'forgiveness' and go on with your life, because you only have ONE life on Earth to live.

Not a belief system. It can't be hybridized with fairy tales.

I find religion to be a bit of a cop out ( No offence to any religious people, just my opinion) In my view its just a way for people to subsidise an answer to a question that we yet cannot solve. I.E we don't know how the universe was created, so instead of trying to figure it out we just say "An almighty creator made it" I just find that it doesn't expand on anything.
Rwanda was just a civil war involving how big your nose was
Take a pill Yusef. :geno:

Religion is brought into wars because you need some kind of an excuse to shoot fellow humans. It's an excuse for hating people, an explanation (but not the cause) for xenophobia.
I don't really mind religion, it is good in some aspects such as teaching morals, but I just don't believe in it. It's not that hard, and I generally don't hate religious people as long as they're open minded. I also really don't care what religion a person is.
