Remember Me style girl. I need ideas for a background. The game, Remember Me, takes place in Neoparis. Should I draw her in a "traditional" Paris street containing neoclassical buildings with futuristic red/blue neon advertisements as the light source on the right side, and some skyscrapers in the background, alongside with wet cobblestones reflecting the city lights and ads? Or do you guys have any better ideas?
Take a reference from the game. No one is going to complain. [editline]19th July 2013[/editline] Lot of places need more refinement. (Arms and legs)
Well, yeah, I'm barely half way done with the character herself. :v: I just wanted to start on the background so I can draw all the lights on her correctly before I get too carried away with the details. I would kinda prefer not using a reference.

I kinda wanna see some sharp structures break up the glowing flow of it. Add a little more event to the picture. Like a giant smokespewing industrial structure looming by the forest. Or just a few persons, like youve done before, it really adds alot to the picture.
What's a cheap high quality scanner I can buy? My phone is a potato it refuses to take good pictures
I've been using a LiDE210 which I got for just below $100.
- Snip, disregard, it isn't worthy. -

I've been listening to a lot of neo-80s music (Perturbator, FC3:Blood Dragon, Hotline Miami) so I neon'd up Adam Jensen. This is my first try coloring in Manga Studio and using tones for shading.
don't do that dumb anime thing where the eyes somehow stand on top of the hair hair doesn't do that
Why shouldn't he? It's not like it's some kind of error in the drawing, and it's obviously not supposed to be realistic. It's a personal stylistic choice, which I don't see much of a problem in. It doesn't even look like anime apart from that one detail. I'm not a fan of the anime style but it doesn't mean that I think using a technique from it is some kind of artistic heresy.

Zelda does that and it's not even an anime. Sometimes it looks good, other times it doesn't, it's more about fitting well and not about that specific style that makes things look bad.
