Well I added J.F on steam, and he's pretty willy wonkers, I don't recommend it :v:
I can't get on to my steam so it looks like I will be seeing neither his willy nor his wonka
Woops.

That is amazing and ridiculously realistic. I would kill to have a fraction as much talent as you have right now.
Funnily I think it was stronger in your previous post Lord
I think you've lit him up and defined him overmuch, when I had to shift in my seat to see into the pits of his eyes, that was great. The highlights are a bit much now too, they don't seem to relate to a surface above his mouth, they're just flat and..there
Same below his eyes to a degree
Still a dynamite piece, it just doesn't speak to me very much now. A bit too iron maiden
i liked the pits too haha
he reminded me of the male undead merchant from darksouls cuz he's so jolly
Yeah you guys are right, I actually did like the pits a lot more now I realized, it kind of took away the character of the piece when I added the eyes. And yes I definitely should tone down highlights. Thanks for the honest critique guys!
Edit: Fixed some of the mentioned issues, I hope I did at least haha.

Yo M, i liked the highlights, i think you toned them too much down.
Made him a bit more alive, and sweaty looking
An obstacle concept art, may need some revisions.

Also, some behavior on the boss, he can spawn monsters only for now, but he will be able to throw stuff too.

The other monster is also pretty much done, when he sees the players he reacts with an emoticon and shoots.

It might just be me but it looks like you should increase the distance you can see a little bit and make you run faster, in that boss GIF it looks like he is way too close and everything is moving super slow.

The reason for him being too close is that he is actually almost dead so he increases the difficulty by moving towards you, when he has full health he is quite far away. By being so close, when he spawns enemies you have to be a lot more alert in order to avoid them or kill them. (The GIF doesn't show when he starts)
About the run faster thing, I get what you are saying and I kinda agree but although we are still playing with it the game is slower than most runners because we have a lot of focus on killing the monster and if the game runs too fast you won't have time to kill them, or they have so little health they don't provide a challenge. To fight this we will also have sections on the scenario that instead of monster has the classic obstacles + coins approach, and in those sections there are no guns and the character runs a lot faster.
Thanks for the feedback! We are still going to think more about it, there may be another way.

I love this. I would try a tarantula, fly, dragonfly, ant, and moth.

From an experiential point of view I think the angle that the positioning of the camera could use some re-thinking.
At the moment there's not a great feeling of physical connection with the player's character. I can see this creating two problems; a lacking sense of immersion in the game world and difficulty feeling physically engaged in the game.
If the camera were to be straight-on to the scene and move back and forth more rigidly with the character the player would be able to judge far more intuitively where he was in relation to obstacles and it would feel much more like the ideal body-extension that you want to achieve in any game interface. As it is now it's going to involve constant glancing back and forth between target/obstacle and character to ensure the character is in the right place.
I've been working on a series of watercolor observation for trees and surrounding flora. I came up with a cool personal style i like of drawing out the scene in 6H pencil, doing some line working and refining with black india ink, and then coloring with watercolor. Here's one of them, though I don't have a scanner or good camera at the moment so the colors and stuff are a bit messed up.

Will definitely look into it, we actually have been working on the camera since the start, a lot has changed but there are always more experiments we can run and see what works best. It's not the easiest kind of game to work with a camera though, there are a lot of variables to take into consideration and sometimes what works with some stuff works bad with others.
'Slowflow' Phase #1 will post final piece soon. Getting darker colors in, plan on using some graphite and darker colors. Acrylic markers, acrylic paint, pencils.

C'mon guys, take perpendicular photographs instead of these daft dramatic isometric shots :v:
Looking great Lil, the fence and the foreground in particular are working really well. The sky is a bit nasty and acrylic looking, could stand to be something less saturated. A nice subtle wash leaving almost the white of the paper would really have set off the rich brushwork and ink on the trees
@zelchacha, I don't think you should mix media so much. The pencil for example is completely overpowered by the more opaque media you're using, and everything looks cluttered and gross with everything else. Ditto for the nauseous neon colours and the arbitrary abstract crap you're doing with them. It's all very juvenile tbh, getting a very Qyune Moon vibe
Perhaps draw a chosen subject in one medium with a toned down palette or monotone
I think that would be good

I'm not even done, haha. It's all going to come together Those are the primary colors i'm using right now. I do want it darker, I'm on phase#1. Juvenile, cluttered, gross, nauseous, abstract crap? It's my first attempt with acrylic markers man, simply trying something new. I'd love to see some of your stuff so i could throw out some harsh vocabulary at your style. Although I do agree with some of the abstract being arbitrary as of now. That will use some extra work. Not how I originally had it planned out.

My first go at pixel art in about 3 or 4 years - though back then, it was just shitty character sprites.
It's not perfect or special but I feel like I'm going somewhere with this. It's a WIP mockup for a fighting game stage or something.
