I choked on a stretchy mozzarella stick. Now I, GhostrickTank shall haunt the four corners of the Earth (or however far I can fly without cramping) stealing food, pulling pranks, and invading women's locker rooms. I used to tag abandoned buildings, I got bored a month or two back and started doodling on my resin-stained desk.

Trying to find that old motivation that's been gone for so long. It's been genuinely very stressful for the past little while having no motivation to paint. At the start of the year I decided that I was going to start painting for myseand not for praise. Maybe that's where things have dropped away! I think at the end of the day, part of the reason we all paint is to make people go 'wow'. Fantastical photostudy, based on a much more realistic photo from here
I think you should take out the airship. It feels out of place.
I think you should take out the airship. It feels out of place.
Compositionally or thematically? I think that it could definitely do with being turned so that it's facing us a bit more.
Compositionally or thematically? I think that it could definitely do with being turned so that it's facing us a bit more.
I think there's too much detail on it and it looks like its heading straight towards the house. It kind of ruins the composition for me.

Yo, I've been concepting stuff for dota 2's workshop lately, so one of these guys [t]http://i.imgur.com/7bMvmth.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/ABd0J2h.png[/t] got transformed into this: [t]http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/576745934968121955/C91E4F4D3829CB0F4D3C66E4116599E23940FE31/[/t] It's really cool to see something get done from your concepts, although I don't know how to improve on the values and overall rendering for them. How do I make this stuff look better? you can vote for that item here if you want by the way :~)

I like how it came out, but the structures in the design of the ship ended up a lot more emphasized than I intended. Drawn in Sketchbook Pro and tuned up in Photoshop.
Scribbly tiny brushes and mirroring are both unpleasent things to look at You haven't so much petted your lines as you've hacked them to pieces until there is no semblance of a line left Really ugly work sorry
Perhaps that's intentional? The jet is actually comprised of several mirrored sketches, which overlap and intertwine, which are then brought into shape by the sketchy, highly elliptical circles used along the length of the ship. It's supposed to be a scribbly mess, because that is the process of organic creation I use. I was never actually drawing a jet, but added and added to a mirrored image until I constructed something coherent out of many individual fragments of completely different drawings. I constantly change my mind on what the subject of my drawing is, and often flip it to draw it as something else from another angle. If you look, you should be able to see about 3 or 4 faces and a stylized wolf's skull when flipped to the left as well as a collared, aristocratic figure in the center.

If you turn the image to the right you see a bowing robed person about to self-immolate under the hellfire of war.

All in a messy sketch of a war machine. It's about seeing that what is in an image isn't necessarily the most prominently featured form. It's hard for the mind to sort out the chaos of another's creation, but this is intended to highlight the process that goes on in my mind when I am creating. It's sort of a zen-flow of ideas where instead of erasing or starting anew, I merely flip the canvas and look at it as another object, and add the according details. I don't know if the colorless and unshaded images will help you see what I see, but that's the personal value the art has to me - that it is a representation of a natural flow of ideas related to war rather than a specific goal that was set and completed. [editline]21st August 2013[/editline] Something a little bit more structured - I might do more with it but I'd largely consider it a work in progress.

That collapsible rifle reminds me a lot of a Kel-Tec Sub 2000.
it's a bit of a mix of an Ar-7 and MP-40
