xephio i like the new protfolio. I think you get the internship in Germany :) i finished the tower (with new shading, stairs and the surface). it took forever to finish this one. when animated there come smoke out of the chimney and a oranje glow through the door and windows.
Is the house on fire
it should be a blacksmith :,( don't you see the anvil? maybe i should add some swords and axes.
Perhaps fleshing out the workspace a bit to make it look more organised and worked-in. If you've got Skyrim jump in and see how they put a bunch of different tools/surfaces/objects around to really give the sense that it's a blacksmith. I mean here you've got an anvil but no fire close enough for it to be practical - I imagine as a blacksmith you don't want to be carrying a red hot bit of metal several meters to your anvil. A super quick speedpaint. Working really quickly with the hand to get shapes out and not analyse too much. Making decisions about composition quickly and without fear - a nice change from how I'm finding course work at the moment! Also not worrying about whether or not it's good 'practice' in terms of lighting, subject matter, challenging perspective, etc. Just having some good old fashioned fun! [editline]19th September 2013[/editline] another quickie
somthing like this?
A sketch on a enemy/passive creature for a game: [T]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/55477377/frogger.jpg[/T] [editline]19th September 2013[/editline] What do you guys think? Would it work as in a size close to a human (as originally planned)? Or should I just demote it entirely to a small critter?
A sketch on a enemy/passive creature for a game: [T]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/55477377/frogger.jpg[/T] [editline]19th September 2013[/editline] What do you guys think? Personally I think you should focus on increasing your overall drawing ability first. I can see where you're going with the idea, but a solid background in studying light, value, form, and figure drawing would really help it along.
It's not necessarily all my work - I've just been messing around with album covers and making them look more retro. (You know, like they'd fit on an NES, or maybe some old apple computers... that kind of a look.) Click on them, downscaling looks whack. [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/965202/retro/yoshimibattles8bit.jpg[/t] ^ This is the best one. [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/965202/retro/pinkfloyd.jpg[/t][t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/965202/retro/fragile2.jpg[/t][t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/965202/retro/demondays.jpg[/t] ^ One a side note, these exist. I made these because I wanted some wallpapers. I'm still making more.
The shading's a bit odd on Noodle, but I freaking love that Gorillaz one. Good job.

I do agree with salmonmarine, work on your overall drawing ability too.
I think you should make it very small, so that players will not have to look at its vagina
I'm taking a scary step into the world of Sai for Mac Wish me luck
I'm taking a scary step into the world of Sai for Mac Wish me luck
It's fun. I'm on windows, though.
Yeah Sai for Mac doesn't have pressure sensitivity
doesn't have pressure sensitivity
Oh man, good luck with that, dude.
not drawn with sai since pressure sensitivity is vital from Hyper Light Drifter
i cant wait to play that game
To my defense, i didn't say make everything brown. You can use as vibrant colours as you want but that doesn't mean it's not going to be painful to look at. The edit was a 30 second desaturate which turned into a re-imagination of the piece. Didn't have time to do an proper edit and believe neither the skill. But you guys don't actually care. Just rating posts without looking into it. It's the internet, pinnacle of human society. *sigh*. This one is meant to be brown-purple. good night. I'd like some feedback on silhouette read and form clarity if that's possible.
Bit late there Cell, you're replying to something from like three months ago :v: I agree in the case of the image you're referring to, the colours weren't nice being so saturated. But you were pretty rude about it at the time and it looked like "my way or nothing at all" and that is why you got boxed That piece is lovely, nice comp and great atmosphere. The silhouette is a bit confusing, I'm not sure if it's meant to be a structure or a creature. There are definite "legs" but then the lights look like windows and it looks like there's a bit of a fence built on a platform to the left. Also it could be some kind of weird flightless bird facing either right or left. So I'm not really getting form clarity from it
Made 99 characters from a comic I'm working on (huge pic I know) :

It's been awhile since I've posted any real work here and I've finally found time to draw since I've started college, so here is a WIP of what I'm doing so far. [IMG_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/HKcJ2VN.jpg[/IMG_thumb] Also fuck hair omg.
Made 99 characters from a comic I'm working on (huge pic I know) : (huge)
In the seventeenth row, third column, the guitarist is holding a right-handed guitar in a left-handed position. Is that on purpose, like he's Jimi Hendrix?
Here's a hug bot I doodled out to work on form. Excuse the shadow

it needs to be more colorful tbh
it needs to be more colorful tbh
I just love the atmosphere in this piece! Incredibly well captured colors and values, just beautiful job.
Made an Earth elemental. Also because everyone is taking red neck-wear and I don't want two characters with the same color of skin, I had to change Kid a bit, and I plan on reworking Miss Trall a bit too. Still need to make a dark character, and then maybe a picture with all these guys of indeterminate race together.
