Most of those are shitty effect brushes Ill never use. I need some good inking brushes, I have like 3 so far.
look at the ones frenden's ones
Adonihs brushes are pretty great but most of them are still just effects brushes http://danluvisiart.deviantart.com/art/My-Brush-Pack-118954791
I bought his inking set a while ago and they're great. I need something more painterly though.

It's been a while since I've posted here. Anyway, tell me which of the designs on the right is your favourite. I will make a full turnaround and design analysis of whichever plane gets the most votes. It's a plane designed to fly at high altitudes, and possibly skim in and out of space. Friendly - Top Useful - Middle Optimistic - Bottom I'd also appreciate overall crit.
If it's designed to skim space and fly high altitudes, then the middle one's design makes the most sense, I think. It has the same kind of broad-wing shape as a B2 bomber, whereas the top reminds me of a jet fighter. I don't like the bottom one at all, mostly because the nose design is odd, but also because (I think; I could be wrong here) the canards defeat the purpose of having air intakes because they split up the air flow in such a way that the air would go around the intakes and not directly into them.

I think airplanes are one of the most difficult design challenges there are. I tried to design these with some sense of function (as in, centre of mass, centre of pressure, control surfaces, etc) but yeah, you've shown that there is a lot more consideration to be taken. After a while I couldn't differentiate the designs enough to be satisfied, so I started subconsciously adding parts without thinking too much about how they would affect the function. (High drag things like excessive intakes and the canards you mentioned) But yeah, I appreciate the input!
I think the bottom one had a really nice silhouette, but the realisation of that is very pedestrian and not dynamic looking :(
check your lights on the wings. right supposed to be green and left red . port and starboard also counts for planes.
check your lights on the wings. right supposed to be green and left red . port and starboard also counts for planes.
Dammit! I had the colours correct, but I flipped the plane horizontally to make a better composition after I drew the lights in.
I like the top one most, not sure why. It just looks more..complicated, I guess. In a good sense, of course. As for the critique...well, try to avoid tons of black and grey. They just make your drawings loook durty. Dark red would fit better in my opinion.

I like your regular pixel art better. You should practice stuff outside your comfort level more, these seem pretty easy for you to make now and you're probably not getting a lot out of repeatedly making so many of the same things. Do something you wouldn't normally find yourself doing. Draw a cool concept for a character and then do a pixel art sprite for example. Idk, something game related, it seems to be the direction you're trying to head towards?
Y/N?
The cat's ghostly head needs more gaussian blur around the edges and especially the neck, and the picture of you+the cat needs to be brighter to contrast with the dark background. Right now the head just looks like a cutout, and your hair kind of merges with the sky.

Was the background originally more vibrant? Maybe if you used a starscape that had more stars then it'd provide a better contrast to you. It still doesn't change the fact that the original picture of you doesn't exactly have stellar lighting. I suggest you retake the picture of you and the cat with better lighting, if at allpossible. As for the cat, I didn't mean blur the whole thing, just the edges, so that it fades into the background better; also try slightly reducing the transparency in the middle of the cat's face in the same manner (like with a soft brush or something) to improve the effect.
