Your stuff is still improving so much!! Awesome stuff man You are still neglecting reflected light though. Just focus on the most influential reflected light at the moment though - the blue sky. Throwing that blue light into your shadows would bring so much more to your work.
Okay, thanks for the tip! I'll see what I can do.
guys help me, I need to correct the left mountain side, I dunno how it looks wrong though, and I'm trying to make a valley path towards the cave, I don't know what i must add to make it look right. Not necessarily too low in the frame, but there's no atmospheric perspective at all. That rock on the horizon is as saturated and in-focus as the rocks right in the viewer's face - it looks like you just take a one minute stroll down the beach and you're on the horizon. I assume you wanted that to be the other side of the little bay/inlet and rather further away than that :v: So as Mal said, blue it up. Haze out and make less distinct the stuff that's supposed to recede into the distance

I hope it was a funny ironic kinda thing because they're really dreadful
I kinda have to, im presenting my idea to my computer animation class, so it has to be done
Starting with linework may have been beneficial. You can sort out early planar issues that way

I'm still working some blue into the shadows and surfaces with reflected light, but yeah Thanks for the input, it does look a lot better.

Wow, a lot of cool new art in this thread. Here just me studying photos I took a while back. [T]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/4565878/facepunch/refrenced.jpg[/T]

If I want to make an object look very distant in my landscape, what do I do? do I blur it? this is what I currently have gois halp :(

Which is actually pretty easy to make. If you grab a soft brush and put it on about 30% opacity (see what you find best) and pick a bright blue/cyan color, and paint over the object you want to put in the distance.
If I want to make an object look very distant in my landscape, what do I do? do I blur it?
Generally, the further away, the less contrast an object has, and everything gets a slight blue-ish tint. Take at look at these photos for example: [t]http://rhorii.com/PhotoGallery/WST-HillsSW-PICT8171.JPG[/t] [t]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/88/Germany-Farchant-Landscape.JPG[/t]
Been practicing using tablet, shading and values. It is so different to pencil drawing. Focusing on getting the values right, keeping blocking with my brushes, and just trying to get the shape across, avoiding the flat look I had in first painting I did. Only used opaque round brushes. I know it's not exactly a complicated set of stuff, but any constructive criticism you have would be great.
Get your shapes sharp and don't pet your lines, this will improve the quality a lot.
I've got that down on paper, but when I try and get a shape / line in one movement with my tablet it basically ends up as me drawing then pressing ctrl+z for 10 minutes.
I think when it's gotten to that point you should consider alternative solutions that aren't 'the perfect line stroke' on a tablet. If I wanna make lineart that needs a lot of precise strokes I just draw it by hand and photograph/scan it. Also maybe draw something that requires a lot of smaller lines in-between than one long one; and if all else fails, check out a drawing program with 'brush stabilizers', SAI had one and it was a god send for my cruddy tablet before I had a wacom.
