I don't want to make a thread for this, so hopefully someone can point me in the right direction here. I'm looking for a talented photoshop artist who would be able to do pretty advanced vanity photoshopping for modelling pictures sometime in the future. Similar to the style of stuff like http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-YJT8yIj9zGE/UBdeMFgY-GI/AAAAAAAAhlg/G6MKzez73Wo/s1600/179908_509124049114829_149281893_n.jpg (The guy looks like this http://npcnewsonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/MPDVid.png in his non-photoshoot pics) I'd be willing to pay for good work as well.
I don't quite get what you want. 80% of the work is done by the photographer through proper lightning, make-up, choice of model, costume and location, the photoshop artist would just appropriately convert the colour values to greyscale, remove any obtrusive spots and errors and adjust the levels where appropriate. Exactly what are you looking for? What is it that you put into that style? Details please.

In this model's case a lot of his pictures his head is photoshopped slightly smaller to make his body appear bigger, but not to the point where it looks alien. Oh, okay, so you want slight body modifications pronounciating body features. Well, I've never really dabbled in that area so I would only be able to promise an attempt and I don't think anybody in this section trusts me to do anything anymore either. :v:
tempted to get one of these. my intuos has been an absolute piece of shit since day 1 to the point where i just use my old bamboo for everything now
I've gotten 3 people to buy it so far and they all love it. Its 1/8 of the price of the Intuos Medium and the specs are identical. It's kind of a no brainer if you're looking to buy a new tablet.

I WILL ALSO DO ANYTHING FOR MONEY
So Vancouver is coming out with this weird RFID thing to replace paper transit tickets. The new cards have only been available so far through a BETA program so after some research and testing of various cards you can buy on ebay I spent an afternoon dicking on the SkyTrain so I could collect two new and undamaged tickets, then I glued them to either side of an RFID card, laminated it to make it durable and snipped out the corners so it looks like a real ticket. Most likely this is the first custom Compass card in existance. I'll probably have to make more to improve on little things I fucked up on like ragged edges and a nasty slip of the xacto knife.
dissolve the card in acetone and put the chip+antenna assembly into something else

I got this drawing programme for my Lumia 720, it's cool and all but impossible as it only works with your finger
Hello all again! This was my previous assignment I did on Halloween, I wanted to try where I am with perspective and other effects like shiny surfaces and glass. I think I did okay, since I'm pretty proud of this work that I finished in a day! I was really on the go. I got confused how the hole would look like in that angle, so it looks a bit odd. I'd love some critiques on this work though, please.
That's pretty damn cool, I like how you took things that are usually used as art practice (like mannequins, solid volumes, fruit) and made something weird out of them. Not sure what the two creatures are for, though.
So someone offered to buy my earth painting for $600 + S&H sand then he said he'll buy 3 of my space paintings (earth, moon, mars) for $1,000 + S&H. Does that sound reasonable? I feel like I should ask for 1.1 or 1.2 maybe?
I'd keep at least one :c those are so great go for 1,2
yea i think him paying 400$ for the mars and moon is a bit low considering the earth is 600$. I'd go 1,1 btw how do you sell your paintings? some online art webshop? also made this few days ago, working in greyscale to work easier on my lighting
If you wanna play around with a picture before I get any actual modelling pics done lemme know and you could give it a shot, haha
Sure, send one over with a quick sentence on what should be altered and I'll give it a go.

Didn't want to leave them out. :)

Nearly done with this. Still got some places to shade and I gotta do the background, but I am proud of how I have shaded and lined this.

My painting instructor wasn't digging the fact that I was painting minimalist monochrome, geometric, very architectural paintings in acrylic. So I did something last class to show her I actually know oil and color. Had a go at fire in oil. It's like 18x22 or something. My teacher is actually a really interesting person. She's 28, from Syria, escaped out before all the conflict and has had to watch from a far as her family is hurt and her country is broken apart. Her paintings are beautiful and stunning images of syria and the destruction. I bought two of her pieces off her last year because her stuff really visually spoke to me, from her MFA show. I've had to give them back to her on loan now though because the UN is hosting a show for her, and another syrian photographer, it'll be this spring, and there will be an opening in D.C., Amsterdam, NYC and Chicago with a month in between each. Really awesome for her, and I'd venture to say she'll be pretty well known after that. Explosion- Oil on Canvas 16"x20" Fire in Damascus- Oil on canvas (like...38x38") Also, excuse the shitty picture, it's all I've got on hand since it's at the studio but I had actually made a painting about Syria myself, that I've since given to my instructor because she nearly teared up during critique and it means so much more to her than it does to me. When she first saw it the first thing she said was "...I know this street...it wasn't far from where I lived in Damascus..." It's a 18x24" watercolor. Also, here is one of the geometric monochromatic paintings I was catching flak for, most notably from students who think that chaotic looseness and sloppiness is key to a 'real painting' or 'letting paint be paint' but eh, I'm not a painter and they all are. It's based off a table design of mine that I'm fabricating currently. Both hers and yours are fucking fantastic.
That is some great shit ajacks
Hello all again! I'd love some critiques on this work though, please.
Your hatching is reaaally random in places, which flattens things out. Remember when shading with line you're modelling the form, not just providing tone. So for that hole the lines should either all be vertical or all hug the contour of the walls. You can use hatching that goes between perfect contour and perpendicular for more organic stuff to denote shadows, but usually you would want to render it out if developing the drawing to something highly finished. Lack of atmospheric perspective also keeps it very flat, and working biro is no excuse because you can totally do halftones :v: The shadows (most notably on the cubes) are sloppy. You want parallel lines that travel all the way from top to bottom - it's got to be neat and even to denote the flat surface. A couple of tricks to nice lines like this are drawing with your wrist locked (from the elbow) so you're not stuck on a fulcrum trying to compensate for the rotation with your fingers and the angle of your drawing tool, and secondly try keeping your eye on the point to which your line is supposed to go, rather than focusing on the tip of your pen or whatever as you draw the line. You can often work more accurately if you make your strokes in the central area of your field of vision but without actually tracking the line with your eyes, as you can see more at once and have a fixed viewpoint. It allows for faster, more flowing linework for things like figures too, which is great if you find yourself petting lines because they're just too long to achieve in one stroke.
Hey eric95, what's funny about my drawing, huh? And ajacks, your paintings are great. Your color choices are fantastic.
Hey eric95, what's funny about my drawing, huh?
Maybe it's your fucked-up thalidomide people or your pride in the terrible "shading"? :v:
Maybe it's your fucked-up thalidomide people or your pride in the terrible "shading"? :v:
Wow, I never figured you people were such fucking assholes. That isn't even constructive criticism, that's just outward douchebaggerey. Thanks for influencing me to never ever post my work for you assholes again.
