Killing them with some sugarcube thing is the best part, even though it's not that easy because of this inertness of controls.
yuss we need to change that. takes too much of a learning curve to get used to that floaty boat movement
Also, have a tactical santa.
this is top notch. great brush work [editline]10th December 2013[/editline] as a note, if you see this, it was not an artistic statement it is a build bug

hahaha yes i had a go at someone about that. a relic from when the game was much much slower [editline]11th December 2013[/editline] photoshop-edited post-processing test while i wait to do it on the proper build with the proper scripts [editline]11th December 2013[/editline] hmm it's hard to try and push things while keeping within the realms of what's actually possible... and then compressing it into a gif [editline]11th December 2013[/editline] obviously the sky got really over-exposed. it's gonna have a nice sunset cloudscape eventually [editline]11th December 2013[/editline] sorry i will go to bed now
I'm trying a new thing that involves putting solid value/colour/texture underneath squeaky clean linework. Phase 1 complete

I've been trying to get used to using a tablet, any advice on what I may appear to be doing wrong? I was using GIMP 2. Just found out about the calligraphy ink pen and gave it a spin... [t]http://i.imgur.com/CRmXbeq.png[/t]
photoshop-edited post-processing test while i wait to do it on the proper build with the proper scripts
Honestly, I like the original variant better. It may be just me, but it looks much more pleasant to look at, while the edited one is kind of oversaturated imo.
thanks we've toned down the in-game version quite a bit. hopefully i'll get a screenshot to post also did a quick skybox
Oooh that's niiice.
Purple space cow. As requested by nobody.
M-milka? I think this would be perfect if your BG planet was rounder and had a much finer outline compared to the rest.
Yeah the line weights seem to have an inverted hierarchy.

[t]http://i.imgur.com/CRmXbeq.png[/t]
I don't think there's anything necessarily wrong with how you rendered it, just more so that the content/composition could be more interesting. For future consideration a more dynamic view angle/higher contrast wouldn't hurt.

I suggest you get your hands on Paint Tool SAI, it has a really well made Stabilisation feature.
eh just did a quick sketch [img_thumb]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1439792/wat.jpg[/img_thumb] anyone know who it is? [editline]10th December 2013[/editline] i hate how i spent an hour drawing this and the initial outline was so clear and now you can't even tell who it is
can someone seriously draw on this with red lines and tell me what i can improve next time or something [editline]12th December 2013[/editline] waiting for some smartass to circle the whole thing
waiting for some smartass to circle the whole thing
Dohoho. [sp]in my opinion, it looks fine. I really don't see anything drastically wrong that you need to redline it. Just keep doing what you doing and practice.[/sp]

well her nose is wonky and you haven't drawn any shadow on the philtrum and her nasal bridge feels a liiitle bit thick. shading wise, her face feels very bright compared to the somewhat dull highlights in her hair @ Orko
[T]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/4565878/facepunch/babyface.jpg[/T] Also, before Selena Gomez /thread, I wasn't sure if you were going for an old photo reference but I'd consider a longer facial frame to make her look less 'baby-faced'.
it's from when she was younger yes, i'd assume about 17 or so [editline]12th December 2013[/editline] are those two pictures different or something
nose is less wonky, eyes have been aligned, chin has been pulled down a little, face has been elevated in general, giving her a more mature look. some values have been washed out as well.

she doesnt look like a bowling ball in the right one
though the second one removed some shadows and made the nasal bridge even thicker
HOLY JESUS. Thumb please [editline]12th December 2013[/editline] Oh, scratch that.. Hadn't refreshed again.
perhaps not, but in a front on shot where the lighting is pretty much head on, especially since you have a bit of shadow on the nose, a little shading to indicate form wouldn't go amiss. not to fault you man, technically it's a very nice drawing, it's just a little wonky.
yeah well i appreciate the advice, i know it's far from perfect and i don't want to seem like an attention whore or something i just want to improve its also my first in a very long time. occasionally i just get compulsions to draw, then draw a thing or two, usually faces, then end up fairly disappointed and don't draw for a long time again i think i lack the dedication to significantly improve my skill
