Haunted, you're like the master in using texture brushes.

Don't take this as a hate post it's just some CC :) I recommend you to study gesture/figure drawing, I recommend Glenn Vilppu's books, or Loomis' on figure drawing. Other than that, you've got quite a pack of talent there.
Wanted to know what you guys think of the song I was writing. Just your basic verse-chorus-verse thing. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/11891459/Breathing(verses not recorded).mp3 The verses aren't recorded yet, and don't mind the autotune, I can't sing so I have to use it in order for my singer to know what notes to hit :v:
Out of my mind now this is life Out of my mind and it's all true And I don't mind at all that breathing's all I've got now Breathing for no reason but you All out of time my soul in numb All out of time my mind is through And all in time I'll find that breathing isn't everything and Why am I still breathing for you All better now and things seem fine All better now I wish I knew What I do now before I even knew your first name Never again breathing for you And I can't help this feeling For now live without breathing
Chubby bunny is best bunny. I have totally created the prime bunny simulator. [sub]Bunny is a placeholder.[/sub]
You should make stalactites or similar under the dirt blocks and on the sides to break up the blocky grid. And I think there's a weird horizontal line on the yellow grass. Also those trees don't really look like they're far away cause they're hovering over the grass. They would look good if they were twice the height and bigger to look like they're closer though. And then a bit more unsaturated for the small ones and move them down. That looks spectacular otherwise. Definitely very Cave Storyish, love it. I also suggest clouds in the background, ala Cave Story.
Verrrrrry generic, sorry (The lyrics I mean, didn't listen to it)
Yeah :v: I have a really bad habit of doing that if I write the song first and the lyrics second
I don't know if I have posted this before. [t]http://fc09.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2012/324/d/5/more_trees__by_rikimaru6811-d5lkq9e.jpg[/t]
Did you just take a video of your screen lol? You know you can just screen record right?
i am awesome.
not 100% original but an experimentation with masking and efficiency, took 10 mins to paint it. I am pleased.
I think I'm improving
WIP. C&C please. MakoSkyDub... either you or Maloof? was trying to get me to do a bright and vivid colour scene im trying
Colors are definitely improving as you go. Not perfect yet but it's definitely getting better every time you try, and this was a nice big step.

the colour scheme is pretty bright but only as far as the source colours of the paint of the planes is concerned. i'm still not sure you're understanding colour theory in terms of warm/cool lights/shadows - your brights and darks still seem to be on the same linear graph. you're getting a long but i still think you need to start dedicating some reading time to colour and light. i recommend color and light

Anyway, thanks for the pointers
I bought James Gurney's other book "Imaginative Realism" a while back, and I aim to buy the one you mentioned. Anyway, thanks for the pointers
imaginative realism really helped me out with drawing theory but i feel colour and light is a way better book for nothing but colour and rending. i feel like you could do with the latter more than the former
concepts
Awesome, these make me think of a Miyazaki film maybe it's the colors. The amount of wrinkles in the clothing is a bit off-putting to me as well as the scratchiness of the linework in some places. also the poses/anatomy are pretty odd, which is really apparent in the second one.
flash fun made another
Improvement? Or no
Dat picture quality.. [editline]23rd April 2013[/editline] Red's Wing's shadows should be shifted down a bit.
