I profusely apologize for the terrible cell phone quality, but I thought you guys might want to see what I'm working on in my final painting class. It's in acrylic. I'll see if I can get a better picture next week. [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/30622781/20140109_190838.jpg[/t]
So tomorrow I plan to draw a lot while on acid, does anyone here have any experience with it or would like to share their drawings if you made any from your trip? I would ask this if there were a questions thread but I couldn't find one.
How the fuck do people get shit like Sharknado picked up by networks? I'm sitting here with a 60 page screenplay for a pilot episode but I'd have no idea who to contact or if anybody would ever be interested in it.

I have moved house and lost the pictures since but all I can say is you're going to love every moment of it. Music that speaks to you is good also. the one thing I found bothering me at the time were the lack of mediums available to me, I kept frantically swapping between my computer, to pencil, to waxy crayons

But, like I said, network with people. Get yourself out there and talk yourself up.
That's pretty vague Hook, how do you network with people if you know no one involved in the industry whatsoever If you're serious RidingKeys you'll be wanting an agent. Frankly you'll probably get rejected by agencies unless your screenplay is stunning and/or strikes a chord with someone out there sifting through thousands of submitted manuscripts, but hey at least then you'll know if people are interested or not. The people that matter at least. [editline]10th January 2014[/editline] On the upside submitting excerpts to agencies is typically free, so
An attempt to illustrate a dream that my girlfriend had. I haven't painted for quite some time. For this I used artrage and a bit of Photoshop.

Should I get my screenplay copyrighted first or will the agencies take care of that for me?
In most places you could expect to be copyright is automatic (including america obviously). So you're good, it's your IP already. If you want extra insurance you can email it to yourself for the timestamp, but it's probably not necessary.

Today I've been drawing the people at my work for a media pack we're doing for other businesses, 5/9 finished [t]http://i.imgur.com/ASBD0ET.jpg[/t] it's a lot of fun to do!

"government protection" sounds like a delusion of grandeur though, they won't give a shit or go out of their way to uphold IP law. If someone steals your ideas (and it'd have to be near enough to word-for-word in all aspects for you to have a strong case) you can C&D them, but you're hardly going to lawyer up unless it's put to major commercial use and they're big enough lemons not to have altered the details to an extent that you won't be able to touch them legally. The bottom line with copyright theft imo is that you have to accept that you're putting your piece of art into a little boat and pushing it down the stream. There's a minuscule chance of somebody ripping it off, but what of it. In the end you did it, and you can do other things if ill befalls one of your efforts. You're the wellspring. What else are you gonna do anyway, sit on it so nobody can see it? If you're taken on by an agent you're pretty well insured against that sort of thing anyway. If you write an absolute gem and then skip the agents and send it to slush piles, then there's a chance that it'll get picked up and ghosted by someone's in-house writer. So don't do that
As someone who would like to use references off of the internet but can't since parents won't allow me to use my laptop in my room because of not being able to easily see what I'm doing on my lappy while I'm in my room (meaning that I won't be able to use my desk), and doesn't feel strong enough to stand up against that rule and doesn't really feel like using the kitchen table due to drinks and the "sticky" surface that somehow makes the paper a bit messy, how do you guys think I should get around this problem/what do you think I should do to improve my art skills while I'm living with my parents? I have a feeling that my parents also have a problem with nudity, so I probably won't be able to do any efficient anatomy work while I'm living here.
...wipe the kitchen table then?

I have a question regarding dimetric projection. To transfer from a flat projection of height to dimetric it should be DimetricZ = sin(60) * FlatZ It seems too tall, but from what i've gathered it should be correct
...wipe the kitchen table then?
You know what, you're right. I guess I was just thinking about the grooves that were on the table, but I could just put another board to have my drawing paper on top of it. Anyways, sorry about bothering you guys with that other post. Looking back at it and some of the other replies, I can imagine how it may have annoyed some of you.
