So I've spent the past 8-10 hours making... this. It's my first sprite sheet.
I like how the characters came out looking a lot, but the vehicles look dooky.
Not sure what to do with it.
It's mostly the color scheme, but they could also use harder angles.

Well, for the helicopters, it's how it's angled. The way it's drawn on the sprite sheet, it looks like you've mixed the angle of a helicopter that's hovering in one spot, which would be horizontal, and a helicopter that's moving forward quickly, which would be at a fairly steep angle.
To compare it to an apache helicopter:

As you can see here, the rotor is horizontal, and the cockpit doesn't have such an extreme curve; the actual cockpit doesn't even reach the front end.
Meanwhile, the body pretty much reaches its peak at the rotor. From there on, it has a slight downward slant.
Also, the back rotor is usually found on a "Fin" that comes up from the tail, not on the tail itself.
Just my 2-cents; I haven't actually drawn a helicopter before, but this is what I've observed.

crappy photo, might rethink this antler thing. Or make them smaller and without the leaves
Done analog style with a mechanical pencil at work. I wish I could will my phone to do a better scan but it will have to wait for morning and its natural light. I don't want to feed my only sketch book to my scanner.

No ctrl-z at all on this one as much as I wish there could have been.
I had an idea and wanted to draw it before i forgot about it.

I've decided to call him (the one with the body) Jackal. (JACK-al. Get it?)
Pumpkin monsters and people don't mix, so Jackal settles for his pumpkin ghosts.
Wow, that glow aura doesn't look as good as it did a few minutes ago. Didn't exactly achieve the effect i was going for.

Were you going for "swimming in whisky"?
It's pretty cool aside from that though.

It was supposed to be a ghostly aura that connects the Jackal to his pumpkin ghosts, but i think i'd rather go without it for now.

You could also just draw lines/swirls.
I came up with this really quick:

and I liked it, so I tried to animate the torch... this was the best I could come up with:

The more frames I tried to add, the less realistic it looked.
My first attempt at kinetic type.

The grays need to be warmer in the same manner that the fire is, and completing the gradated shading to be more filled in (less gaps) would help a lot.
Good try though.
What I would use (and used here) is a radial-blurred circle on a screen layer above the torch, with alterations between the saturation and different levels of opacity. If matched up with the flame's movement, changed in color to flicker from orangish to yellow, and had segments erased so as to not light shadowed areas it could be a fairly effective method of achieving what you wanted. You could also use shaped (as in only covering shadows) flickering black gradients for the shadows.

Essentially, a combination of the painted in animation you used as well as added gradients to emphasize the lighting and smooth over your work, either screened or multiplied on top of.

I tried to shape these 2 wire to my ears as best as I could. It didn't need to look perfect, so I went ahead and did that. I can't wrap this bare wire to save my life, so I got bread wire and wrapped that around this thick wire and the bare wire and hot glued the ends of the exposed edges.
I then started ripping tiny leaves off of one of the plants I bought and started hot gluing the pieces on individually.
Wasn't sure how to shape them, but winged it. i think it looks decent.
Just need to clean it up a bit and then maybe add stem buds on the end or flower buds to hide the hot glue nubs.

Why what went wrong?
Why what went wrong?
It's because professors are sometimes inclined to search the exact wording of different parts of your essay to see if it appears elsewhere on the internet, to check for plagiarism.
I gave advice, and it was a good rough draft for a story about the nature of insanity.
Just remembered that invigilators search online to make sure coursework isn't copied and they have no way of seeing that I'm the same person as my forum account and I don't want to risk disqualification or anything - can PM you the story if you'd like to take a look but it's nothing amazing.

I don't see why it's an issue
I posted my coursework inline alllll the time. I mean the chances of your lecturers stumbling across it online are slim, and even if they do it's easy enough to prove it's yours when you've got all the original PSDs and whatnot.
I'd ask your lecturers whether or not it's a problem. I'd bet they'll say it's fine
