I was kind of enjoying the first few lines but you really managed to make it an awful poem after that
I ran out of inspiration, I dont know what to do when i run out of inspiration, i just wnat to keep typing but I cant. Its driving me insane so I just try to half-arse the rest. I just dont know, maybe I am just an awful poet. Here is some of my older works: http://pastebin.com/AJ7JBsUj
Honestly even in terms of straight up design, I feel like Feng Zhu betrays the purpose/tone of the work sometimes by relying too much on his style.
but as it turns out, relying too much on your own style doesn't betray the purpose of designing stuff, in a sense that he's actually introducing a new paradigm on a patternized activity. An activity that often ends up with:
some truly horrible Magic cards I've seen for environments which are just really pathetic mashups of photographs sewn badly together, each one in a completely different perspective with random light sources and shit. I guess they get away with it because it's reduced to such a small size, but it's real bullshit considering the general standard of MTG artists.
[editline]17th February 2014[/editline]
I wrote some po(o)etry I guess. Not sure if its postworthy at all but whatever. Pastebinned it so you guys wont have to see it if you aren't interested. Made a Bassnectar pin and shirt design for the merch booth I work for, What do you guys think? [img_thumb]http://s13.postimg.org/msrzfre2f/Dragon.png[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://s30.postimg.org/fnmolgci9/male_Front_1.png[/img_thumb] It's based off his logo, for some reason pins with his logo on it sell like hotcakes.
Been trying to reference colors from photos. It really fascinates me how colors can look completely different depending on the surrounding colors.
This is a long shot, but is there anyone here that is into creative writing? I've been searching for a story/script to make a short film out of. Even if it's just an idea, anything really.
B-brother?
we should agree about things more often

Speed paint of a mountain.
This started as a woman and slowly became an old Indian guy. :I Oh yeah, I also drew this with my mouse and I haven't drawn for like 2 years, or so.
dat barrel
I know. I hate my drawings. I don't have enough time to fix it.
Its not about fixing it it's just that you weren't really thinking clearly when you made it lol it needs a top plane. Erase everything up from the 2nd ring from the top and draw the inside of the barrel or a top.

Looks fugly and as I've mentioned before, I suck at perspective. If it's about my application - well I've never been shown how to use a pencil so it's just out of habit. I know how to do circle constructions, it's just too messy and horrible to do in an actual object. I just need to practice doing them freehand. And yeah, I know painting up my drawings ain't gonna make them look good, it's just for the sake of trying for my presentation - which is about what we are going to model for our 3D Project.

Personification of household objects - My tissue box has seen some shit.
Had a bit of an art jam with my girlfriend last week [sp]it was mostly me though[/sp]
Wait, so you drew that with your girlfriend, or your girlfriend is a drawing of yours?
Are you sure you know? I don't see a single ellipse in your barrel
Yes. I did Advanced Higher graphics. I know how Ellipse constructions work. They are just too messy to put in a freehand sketch.
Can someone toss some good landscape photos to practice from at me? I try searching myself but I just always find an excuse to dismiss any and all of them as too hard or easy etc. Landscapes are frikkin hard so I keep putting it off in the planning stage
Wait, so you drew that with your girlfriend, or your girlfriend is a drawing of yours?
You guessed it, I've been going out with this .jpeg for some time now, it's quite serious
Yes. If that wasn't one of the first things you were taught then sorry that bit of your education was probably worthless Even ignoring that, a drawing with opaque construction is still gonna be a lot better than just skipping that and drawing a crappy wonky "clean" object
Can someone toss some good landscape photos to practice from at me? Think about planes.

If it's about my application - well I've never been shown how to use a pencil so it's just out of habit.
You're pressing down on the paper to such a degree that if you were to erase your sketch you wouldn't be able to. Use lighter strokes when you're doing sketches - it'll save you a lot of trouble if you're gonna try and improve. The reason it's messy and horrible to draw construction lines in the first place is most likely because you're murdering the paper with your stab tool instead of doing light sketches. You have full control of the drawing if you do it lighter because it means you can pull back and erase lines that don't work. It's gonna be frustrating as hell because you're gonna have to break a lot of bad habits. I've been there and still, some degree, am. But the reward of having full control of your art and the confidence that comes with that is worth the initial frustration.

Anyone good with wires and stuff? I'm making this claymation thing and I need to make a standalone led bulb powered through a battery or something similar in order to use it inside a lampost. So I saw this online which I guess is fine But I was wondering, what if I just take a flashlight, take the led out, connect the bottom of the led to the other end of the flashlight? Will that power the led through the wire? Or if i take two wires and connect them to the flashlight.
i'm not entirely sure what you're asking? if you mean connecting the LED directly to the terminals, sure it'll work but it'll drain incredibly quickly and run really hot as well. there's a reason for the wires being there besides carrying the current, the resistance in the wires means that heat is distributed evenly and also means that current isn't discharged at a ridiculous rate.
