I mean what if i take the bulb connect two wires to it and then extend those wires to the terminal on the flashlight? So then I can still use the switch on the flashlight but I have a bulb i can move around anywhere and have it be standalone with just the wires running off of it?
yeah that would probably work fine, you'd just have to attach them to the terminals properly. [editline]18th February 2014[/editline] ALTHOUGH MAYBE NOT. it depends on the LED, it might not be able to take the power from the batteries. too much power will make it blow i think.

What do your guy's art station look like? [T]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/4565878/facepunch/IMG_2053.JPG[/T] No having 3+ sketchbooks isn't excessive
i've got two monitors and no space for my tablet.
I'd show you my workstation, but I don't want to give people the impression that I have a drinking problem.
Began drawing this as a doodle. 2 hours later I'm all "Imma put this in my portfolio submission lol"
Mech pilot for a game idea I had. I tried to paint using as little Ctrl+Z as possible. Made for a really fun challenge, since it forces you to loosen up and not worry so much about making things perfect.
Birds with arms? Fuck that, arms with birds! The Bird King of Gotham and his brother, The Junkyard Warrior! A wrestler that uses trash as weapons.

Lilyo, just tape the wires onto the bulb terminals and the battery terminals and you'll be fine. If you need a working switch, make one of the wires (preferably the minus one) run through the flashlight switch.
Hey guys can you give me some names of western artists who primarily do book illustrations? I'm doing a mock book cover for my art assignment and the ratio of eastern to western artists in my reference folder is way too heavily skewed to the eastern side
Mech pilot for a game idea I had.
Well, I don't know about the pilot thing, but this eye patch makes him really look like that Solid Snake guy from the game i've never played.
Apart from being really well rendered, he doesn't look much like a pilot. The pouches don't look comfy to sit with and pilots carry pistols not long rifles, though I guess it depends on how the mech cockpit is designed in size and how he sits (or stands) in it.
Well, I don't know about the pilot thing, but this eye patch makes him really look like that Solid Snake guy from the game i've never played.
I was just about to say he reminds me of big boss :v:
fuck this snip
Small excerpt from my LoZ/Oblivion cross over.
He was tired. Perhaps not in body or mind, but in spirit. Seven years he had waited. Seven years, through rain and shine, through frost and thaw, he had waited. He had returned from Termina with no greater an idea of where his friend Navi could be, nor an idea of what to do with himself. What could he do? He had not the skills to become a tradesman and the Kokiri people were certainly not particularly of want for one, such as the forest itself provided for them. He could not become a huntsman, for though he was skilled with the Fairy Bow, no matter its strength against the forces of evil, he could and would not waste its power upon such a gentle creature as a deer. It was not as if the Kokiri ate meat either, fruit and nuts being all they needed to sustain themselves (though they were certainly not impartial to a suitably seasoned Skulltula stew). What could he, Link, the Hero of Time, do? He who had been child, then adult, and once again both. He who had gone far across the land of Hyrule, to aid it in its time of need, seldom with a thought to his own well being. Yet now he had thought, and he found himself wanting. When he had first returned, he had simply settled back into his life among the Kokiri, where his best friend Saria (who had once been the Forest Sage, though he had no idea if that sort of magic had come back with him in time) tried to help him as much as she could. Though he tried to live life as he had before, knowing that the whole world existed outside the forest, wanderlust filled his bones and he could not help but gaze out across the great field at night, wanting to leave the forest once more. And so he did, several months later, when he could not bear to be away from the world at large any more, when he could not sleep for dreams of Hyrule and its people filled his mind. He said his goodbyes to Saria and left, though he promised that he would contact her with his ocarina.
There's only another chapter after this but if any one is interested I'll post the rest of it.
Well, I don't know about the pilot thing, but this eye patch makes him really look like that Solid Snake guy from the game i've never played.
Yea I knew the patch was gonna make him look too much like Snake. Damn Snake having a monopoly on the eyepatch/beard combo.
Apart from being really well rendered, he doesn't look much like a pilot.
Small excerpt from my LoZ/Oblivion cross over. There's only another chapter after this but if any one is interested I'll post the rest of it.
My first criticism is that in these two lengthy paragraphs, literally nothing happens. You've just spewed out two paragraphs of exposition and backstory. Some of which is particularly drab. You're really going to talk about the Kokiri's diets in your first paragraph? You need to grab your audience and root them in the moment before you can convince them to sit patiently through the explanations and justifications. In my opinion anyway, doing anything else makes for rather tedious reading. Why not start with your character actually doing something? Presumably there's a present tense of Link actually interacting with characters or his environment, so consider starting there first. [editline]19th February 2014[/editline] And again this is just my present opinion on how a short story can (and generally should) be written, you're welcome to stick with your style, but just consider it.
unfortunately i'm the kind of person who goes into purple prose when writing. i see what you're saying and stuff does actually happen. it's just that that stuff doesn't happen in the first two paragraphs.

Decided to redo the coloring of a piece I posted previously. I think I made the right call, though I'm still a little dissatisfied with how it looks.

If you did I would love to build it in 3D.
Honestly even in terms of straight up design, I feel like Feng Zhu betrays the purpose/tone of the work sometimes by relying too much on his style. I know it was meant to be a speed paint but his 'FO4' piece is just flat out NOT Fallout compared to Adam Adamowicz's work.
Disagree, I think he's using a lot of the same shape language.
I kinda agree, but those tall dudes look more like they came from an anime than a Fallout game, the first one has like a bunch of green grass which seems really off, the second one doesn't actually have any shape language connected to fallout and the third looks straight out of Metro 2033 apart from the robut on the right. It's not totally off, but it definitely doesn't remind of Fallout as quickly as it should.
I was actually just thinking of doing that. A 3D model would be awesome :D
I won't try to tell you what to make but I would suggest making it a compact bullpup railgun sort of thing. Seeing as he's a mech driver a rail gun or other sort of high powered weapon would make the most sense if he wants to take down other mechs.
behold the shittiest spiderman ever: [editline]19th February 2014[/editline] i wouldn't even call him a spiderman. maybe he's like the "arachnid-man" [editline]19th February 2014[/editline] IT WAS A QUICK THING OK [editline]19th February 2014[/editline] we'll see who's laughing when they use this for the next spiderman movie.
