Infinitely better than the last ones. Anyway, how is the progress on those planes?
non-existent
super WIPtendo
Impressive...but the more I look at her hair the more i think its a paintbrush
hahah yeah now I totally see it, gonna have to put some more work into that [editline]26th April 2013[/editline] did a quick touch-up, I think it helped
I think the hair could do with sharper highlights, overall looks good though.
-snip, found a better thread for this. Back to your art, gentlemen-

[t]http://fc06.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2013/116/d/0/portrait_practice_by_lily_fae-d631rby.jpg[/t] Well, there is my first real test in corel(Not counting some quick sphere practice), and first rendered realistic portrait done digital, and my second work in black and white :v: All things considered I think it turned out ok, there some obvious problems but I think I'm gonna call this one done and move on. Crit would be very appreciated :) I wish I could fix the eyes easier but (to my knowledge Corel doesn't have easy transform options) edit: Oh god I need sleep, I think I was cross-eyed half the time I was working on this.
R for marquee or L for lasso Ctrl alt T for free transform Ctrl to just move selection Also right click for cut or copy options If you move something (or make a copy etc) it'll be temporarily on its own "floating object" layer. Click back on your canvas and it'll re-merge with the layer you took it from; click and drag the floating object layer and move it up above the layer it came from in order to make it stay as its own layer.
is it seriously a info-graphic about how recycling is non-beneficial?
tbf domestic recycling is the biggest piece of shit waste of time ever
[t]http://fc06.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2013/116/d/0/portrait_practice_by_lily_fae-d631rby.jpg[/t] Well, there is my first real test in corel(Not counting some quick sphere practice), and first rendered realistic portrait done digital, and my second work in black and white :v: All things considered I think it turned out ok, there some obvious problems but I think I'm gonna call this one done and move on. However I suspect that if one were to flip the canvas horizontally, some minor proportion errors would present themselves. The way its painted looks nice, it reminds me of an oil painting. I DO think that some smoothness might be necessary in some areas, but that could just be me.
Been working on this. Can't finish it though, as I don't know what to make the head/face. I thought of something like a barong or tiki mask. Something dark and grimey. Any suggestions?

I did a thing: (refs) Looks like all the practice has paid off, it came out pretty nicely for a pencil sketch. I still had tons of problems with her left hand and had to redo it like five times before I was satisfied with the result. Time to sketch hands non-stop :v:
A sketch from my sketchbook depicting the cockpit of the dirigible in that story of mine.
Having an trouble with CS5 Hue Adjustment. So I have this white (transparent) stroke and a black BG layer, I adjusted the Hue so the white stroke becomes red (colorize box ticked), when I disable the black BG, the red disappears and the stroke becomes white again. How do I disable the BG while keeping it red?
super WIPtendo
funny rating was a misclick, sorry, anyway, it looks nice :)

Kiki's Delivery Service inspired? Reminds me of Hayao Miyazaki films
Kiki's Delivery Service inspired? Reminds me of Hayao Miyazaki films
Haven't watched that one yet, but I'm very much inspired by Miyazaki's films as I began watching them last month. Bought a bunch on blu ray, but it seems there's some missing.
You're basically begging for a reference to Kiki's Delivery Service by having a black cat in it haha. Do watch it, it's lovely.
some photostudie i did. it lacks contrast :V
Finished this up for my character design class. Actually thinking I might start up a webcomic, I really like the fiction I came up with for this guy.
