made a guy some kind of fantasy scifi explorer guy because of space boots he kind of looks like me doe
So today some guy strolled into class clutching a 11" Notebook and a 20" Intuos tablet - or equivalent brand. This fucking guy.
I think the biggest difference I noticed switching from a generic $20 tablet to an intuos was the latency, so I'd keep an eye out for that trait. Well, after a month's worth of weekends... [t]http://th06.deviantart.net/fs71/PRE/i/2014/069/c/c/character_lineup___wildfire_riders_by_boonyboy-d79nsax.jpg[/t]
that is so damn cool, why did you thumbnail it? It's not that big [editline]10th March 2014[/editline]
So today some guy strolled into class clutching a 11" Notebook and a 20" Intuos tablet - or equivalent brand. Intuos is now Intuos Pro and Bamboo is now Intuos and now Bamboo is some random ass low end hardware

You can get an Intuos (previously Bamboo) for like less than 100€
Short unrefined sci-fi book/TV series/Dr. Who episode/movie/DnD Universe/whatever idea: Worthy of the Ark (Working title) Sentient, separately evolved descendants of several major species that inhabit Earth converge on Earth in large numbers. Unknown to humanity is that Earth was originally selected and designed over time by this interstellar coalition to become a safe habitat for a number of selected ancestors in an attempt to seed 'new life' and give a chance for another type of sentience to come into the universe, as well as to serve as an experiment of what would happen if the species from several similar planets were to evolve sharing a global ecosystem with one another. It is determined that the human race has developed in a way that is detrimental to the planet's ecosystems and an eventual threat to the alliance, and that all 'clinically significant' species are to be evacuated and humanity is to be left behind. The title of their operation is given as derisive reference to the human legend of Noah's ark, which had persevered throughout time with the tales that would eventually make up most of the lore of divine intervention in the Abrahamic religions from when they first formed in what would become Swahili (or other ancient civilization) tribes. The legend and traditions of religion in this story developed as a necessary means coping with the experience of coming to consciousness in the 'Garden of Eden', where every species of life that would be on earth was cultivated and bred to eventually populate the earth - essentially describing a planetary ecosystem factory developed by civilizations that have developed more than human minds could comprehend then or in the present. The tale of ejection from the garden of eden and the story of the origin of life and the universe (Genesis 1 onwards) turn out to be about the process of all of the world's life being transferred to the newly terra-formed planet, and that what was falsely believed to be caused by original sin developed in legend to describe the horrors faced by ancient hunter and gatherers groups and early tribes who suddenly found themselves on Earth forced into a constant struggle for survival and resources, which they had never experienced before. The tales of judgment, hellfire, and brimstone were in fact of the days humanity eventually would encounter judgment by their designers, the superior species, embellished upon, elaborated upon, and thus altered by untold generations of the human race. The original ethical code that was implanted into early humans was lost with the erosion of time and became modern religion, bigotry, and hate. Part of the book could be about the Coalition coming to terms with the consequences of having the technological power of legends - to be able to create so much only to have it crash and burn and end in so much suffering and death. Not really sure where it would go from there though. Potentially the 'Higher Powers' (as society has known them through religion) decide that judgment is too harsh and that intervention or merely first contact and the threat of extermination might be enough to give Humanity a chance at fixing its' problems. It could be that they had developed unfounded expectations of the nature and process of evolution in their in their idealistic pursuit of seeding new life. A possible alteration to the story could be that Humanity was the experiment, introduced as an alien species early in Earth's history to 'see what would happen'. The Biblical tie-in feels like a bit of a stretch, but it did serve as inspiration for much of the framework of the original concept. Also, there is a possibility that the designers themselves were seeded and grown by an older or or several older species that they have also forgotten to time. It could be implied that replication and reproduction is a core process of life and that attempts by advanced societies to populate habitable planets is a natural extension of that natural tendency, and that all civilizations play the role of 'God' to other species and cultures by shaping the world around them if they become powerful enough. Any suggestions? This is completely free-written (no reference) and came as a whim at 2 am so I apologize if it is in fact uninteresting, unintuitive, or simply an incomprehensible mess. I have a few ideas of who a central character might be and what role they might play, but I am also toying around the idea of using third person partial omnipotence and multiple character arcs to explore the concept from both angles.

I got bored a while ago and decided to use Illustrator to draw a tank. This was my 3th drawing in Illustrator. It's not so much a drawing as it is a coloured framework, but that doesn't matter. I had fun making it even though I have no idea how to use Illustrator apart from the basics of the line/arc tool. [editline]11th March 2014[/editline] While I'm at it I might as well dump some of the other things I drew up in my free time over the past few months. It's nothing special, but it's all done by mouse. I kind of want to buy a tablet for these things, but I know it'll be a waste because they don't make you draw good, they just allow you to draw on the computer as you would on paper.
He didn't say "this is whats wrong with his face, try and improve" He just said "wow that fucking sucks" essentially.
Hahah holy shit it's amazing how words convey strangely over the internet. Wasn't trying to be a dick, just trying to be goofy about it. Which apparently didn't work. [editline]12th March 2014[/editline]
Some cartoon shit. Did you read my post?
Yeah I read your post. It looks more like a lazy flash trace then an attempt at cartoony facial features though.

I spent fucking 4 hours on it, gave up, and said FUCK IT! But Honestly I dont know any other way. Im really fucking bad at this. The only reason I'm attempting this Is because my teacher assigned something just like it for the next project. I'm sooooo not an illustrator.
Dude I can't even tell you how often I do that. Just keep trying, try different things you know? Stuff like that becomes a lot easier once you break it down and figure out exactly how you plan to go about doing it. [editline]12th March 2014[/editline] The shirt is alright though, just the line weight is a bit wonky.
you really love that brush don't you :P
there's 2 or 3 i abuse the shit out of in that piece. which one are we talking about specifically?
The streaky one. Can you gimme a link to your brushes?
These are the only two brushes I tend to use
Wow, how often can a brush of a penis nose elephant really be useful?
