I kind of agree. How should I go about fixing that?
You should read up on Color Theory.
And definitely work with more saturation.

Also turns out blue-tac makes a really, really good mouldable eraser. A chunk doesn't last as long as a mouldable eraser (the graphite builds up pretty quick) but it has the benefit of being disposable; buy a pack of blue-tac for a couple of bucks and if you lose a chunk, just pull off another chunk.

idk it's too much work and I don't have the time or energy to work on an actual pixel game. I keep doing random stuff like this http://i.imgur.com/lKCcaAF.png I did for Minecraft and other small mockups that I got bored of. I kind of like how this tree came out, maybe I'll do more stuff idk

What program did you do this in, how did you do this, I love it
i am writing short stories for class, if I could get a c&c that would be tight
I struggled up from the dry leaves. It was almost dark out now. A extremely sharp pain shot up from my side. A branch had gone through my back, through my abdomen, and out of my front. surprisingly, not much blood was coming out. I knew what I should do in a situation like this. I sat myself up using my arms. My vision flashed stars of pain, and I gasped. I sat very still with my eyes held shut, then opened my left vest pocket, containing my leatherman. I flipped out the compact saw, and cut through both ends of the stick. Yet still extremely painful, I could move much more freely now. I scrambled on the leaves up the hill to my destroyed motorcycle. The front wheel had ripped off and was nowhere to be found. The rest of the bike had wrapped around a tree, and fluids were leaking out of its sad contorted body with slow glugs. I looked down the road where I had left strips of black rubber earlier. There was no cars. There was nothing. I walked longer than I should have. There was no more trees, but rather large rolling fields of dead grass. The moon was bright. I reached a house. No one was there. There was a car out front, a ford escort from the eighties. It looked like it had been sitting for at least a week, leaves had gathered round the tires. I made note and broke into the house. Climbing through the window was no easy task. A large area around the wound was numb, and looked severely bruised. I slowly put my shirt back down. There was power inside. This meant that a pocket of civilization was nearby. Which meant that there was most likely a doctor there. Which I needed to get to. Before I could, I needed to get the car started. I looked for the keys. They were gone, most likely with the owner. I went over to the computer and loaded up the web archive. I looked for a way to hotwire a car. There was a video on a B list video hosting website that had exactly what I needed. After watching the video twice, I did not want to come back to the house, I gathered water in a nalgene bottle from the kitchen, went outside, hammered a screwdriver that I had found in the house into the ignition with a rock. I turned the screwdriver and the car started like I owned it. No FM radio signals. AM radio was just the same messages. “Come to San Francisco, the safest place in Nor-” I turned the knob until I heard a click, and the voice was silenced. Why listen to an advertisement? I’ve heard it a hundred times, no need to hear it again. It was strange driving. My ears rang. The road was moving in slow motion. I was reminded of the x-files for some reason, like I was Moulder, and a great white light is going to shine down on me and I was going to lose five minutes in a flash. I needed to see a doctor. I saw light pollution over a crest in the road. It was a small town, a patch of light in a sea of blue and black. Brick buildings. Main street was blocked off with giant steel jacks. Many towns did this to protect themselves from hit-and-run raids. I parked the car and got out. I looked down at the seat I was just in with blurry confusion. There seemed to be a huge wet dark stain on the seat back. I got closer and saw it was blood. My blood. I touched the back of my thigh. My hand was as dark as my the night. Blackness. I felt myself awake, yet only subconsciously. I heard new yet familiar sounds. Running water. I tasted the bad taste in my mouth. I moved slightly and was jolted awake with pain. “Its alright, don’t move.” It was a male voice. I did not open my eyes.
“Are you the doctor?” I huffed.
“Yes I am.” He turned off the faucet.
“Am I going to die?”
“Well, no. I don’t think so. You did puncture your appendix. Destroying an organ like that while its still in your body can be very serious, even when the organ is non vital. You did dodge your intestine though, which I should say is very lucky! I would avoid coughing or laughing, though.” He placed something next to me. I finally opened my eyes. The doctor had laid pills and water next to me. “Where were you headed?”
“San Francisco. I’m a messenger.”
“You going all the way to San Fransisco in that stolen car?” We made eye contact. There was a pause.
“I lost the keys.” He shrugged.
“Sure. After you crashed your motorcycle, I presume?” I swallowed the pills.
“Right.” I said. “And I really have to go.”
“I’m sure you do, you seem like a determined man. Look, take these crutches, and these pills. Its Hydrocodone, so don’t take more than one and drive.” He pointed at the pill bottle in my hand. I felt bad for the way I had acted now, he reminded me of my grandfather. “Don’t do anything active, driving a car is almost too much. You’ll bust your stitches and I won’t be there to sew you up. The-- your car is where you left it, just about a block left out of the door.”
“Thank you, doctor.” I limped to the door.
“Oh, and son?”
“Yeah?”
“Good luck.” He looked at me with genuine trust.
“Thank you, doctor.”
I will never forget the kindness that doctor gave me. He saved my life. Though the world we live in is a endless trial of survival, this man saved me when he had no idea what kind of person I was, what kind of things I had done. Living the rest of my life in San Francisco, I decided to do what he had done for me, help others and ask for nothing. I can only hope I can make the world a world where we don’t have to survive, but live.
I have to write 7 stories like this by monday, so this is kinda rushed.

New to digital painting?
You could do the same in PS or Painter, there's no unique constraints to it
suddenly KSP stuff
cool

Sai actually has some crazy amazing true colour blending (none of this gross-looking transparency/overlay that PS uses) to simulate paint mixing - it's pretty nice

Finished it! The background didn't really turned out as badly as expected but it felt like the whole thing took a downturn after the shading.
Also, I did a little extra on the side because it's been a while since I've drawn any mice. Rough sketches so, it's a messy.

I might be a little late but if I'm doing paint wear/damage i'll flatten the image (duplicate layers) and monochrome it underneath my main image, i'll then scratch/erase away the top layer revealing the layer underneath.
think carefully when putting wear and tear on as to not make it look patched on.
also don't forget about impact damage as well, dinks, dents, scratch burrs etc. will all have their own lighting characteristics.
i forgot who did these but congrats on getting popularish, found yer comic on tumblr wall
