Fire looks a bit pasted imo. Really cool though, especially the gun.
looks very shooty-game-promo thing. looks fine imo.

I mean if someone hit him with a molotov and he's covered in alcohol...
I mean if someone hit him with a molotov and he's covered in alcohol...
Molotov Cocktails must be a Russian's worst nightmare..
but but but aren't molotovs basically alcohol bottles with a flaming cloth?
Molotov Cocktails must be a Russian's worst nightmare..
I'm sure they down it just like any other alcoholic beverage
You ever started siphoning gas, and then you taste it and realize that the car was on fire the whole time? That's what a Molotov Cocktail tastes like.
Art piece I just finished for the next big Insurgency update. [t]http://i.imgur.com/IMCsoVE.jpg[/t]
i think you took the sharpening a bit far like it makes it look like you pasted in elements from other paintings/photos but that they weren't big enough for the resolution so you sharpened them. it's a bit odd. like it almost looks like jpeg compression [editline]25th March 2014[/editline] then again there is some definite jpeg compression in there so maybe it's your hosting too i'm not sure
Molotov Cocktails must be a Russian's worst nightmare..
I think they invented them, actually. -edit- Nope, they were actually made to fight them. So maybe. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Molotov_cocktail

I think for now I'd really recommend you study the human skull and how it shapes the face. It'll help you when you do studies like these and can actually see beyond the surface. You should also try and do rendering lines that follow the shape more. You're already letting your lines follow the shape which is nice, but once you have a better understanding of all the stuff underneath the skin you'll stop mindlessly replicating whenever you're unsure and instead rely on the base knowledge you've acquired. And make sure you're confident with how you've placed everything before you do any detailed rendering! It'll save you a ton of frustration and extra work. Don't worry about the ratings you got, there's potential here if you just keep aiming at doing better every time you make something new.

This was just something from a few weeks ago that I felt like sharing. Thanks for the tip, though
+if you're doing a famous person face then use a reference always
And don't try to belittle your own work as some sort of knee-jerk self defense mechanism. No matter how minor the way you're doing It. If your work is a "just" anything you shouldn't be posting it. We want to see work that you gave your best effort, and/or you're proud to show. It's okay if it has a poor reception and gets a truckload of funny ratings, own it and make it a promise to keep improving.

I'm super proud of it, I was just saying I think I've improved since I did it :v
Art piece I just finished for the next big Insurgency update. [t]http://i.imgur.com/IMCsoVE.jpg[/t]
Very much agree with chesty, the piece looks piecemeal and oddly composed. The bg elements make it look like you took a screenshot out of some game at pretty low res and painted the figures in using that perspective as a dodgy guide, then worked in the fire from a photograph and the gun from a 3d model or something with bonkers sharpening. Even the molotov dude looks like he's from a screenshot because of how oversharpened he is. Then the intrusive vignette looks like it's just there to hide the seams and make it all a bit hazy and hard to see.. I guess with a title and price and shit over it and placed in the Steam UI it would do just fine. It does look very shootery and reads well at a glance, but as a piece in its own right it's a bit of a trainwreck imo. Since it is meant to serve a purpose I guess it doesn't matter though.
What is your guys opinions on this?

The most troubling thing I find with this thread is how a lot of people handle criticism, but you're doing well. Hope to see you continue to post improved works in the future.
stiff sausage limbs with no sense of depth or form.
Don't forget the contructive bits!
What is your guys opinions on this?
Draw from real life(if you have access to it), or draw from pictures of people doing similar forms and poses, which you can find on the internet. It seems like you are trying to draw everything from memory (especially the horse) or from imagination. Get a reference for pretty much everything in the picture. The plane looks alright, but you should still get a ref for that too. Particularly, you should see how plane propellers look whenever a picture is taken of them. It also looks like you aren't lightly sketching out your shapes, which makes it harder on yourself when you want to draw forms correctly.
What is your guys opinions on this?
The lines around the horse's eye makes it look more like it's freaking out than bone structure.
I think there are much more important things to be said about the horse than the lines around its eyes not implying bone structure properly.
