Not really worth posting, but was fooling around with a friend on some online drawing tool after spending 2 hours doing fundamental exercises.. will post an update on it soon probably.
I used to be the exact same way. People would offer upward of $200-300 for my paintings and I even got commissioned for a $1500 mural. Turned them all down. Any painting I gave away was for free because I cared about or liked the person receiving it. This is how I am now. I've turned to the dark side :v: Everything I make goes up for auction or on a t-shirt. I've also started making prints of my work, detaching myself from any sentimental attachment from my art. My advice would be to find a balance between being to attached to your work like I was and selling your soul like I have.
The whole "sellout" thing is just a childish view on things, really. People need to live, selling a work for 200-300 isn't going to let you put food on your table unless you can produce a good amount of such work every month and be able to sell it. If you like doing it and people are willing to pay money for it you've hit a gold mine. There is nothing wrong with being attached to your work, but if it impacts your ability to share it with others and getting paid for your hard work and dedication then it's harmful to yourself.
Wipwipwip Stressed? Procrastinating? Draw pretty ladies. All day long.
Where is she looking?
I'm still working on the eyes. I was thinking luminous eyes, but I might just do normal. She's looking forward.

Working on an animation for work (yes anooootheerrrrrrrrrrrr, but this one will be a gif for the website to explain the service, not some bullshit video probably nobody will watch ever) the idea is that he'll go through the door and appear in the top room, do his printing, go back into the previous room, indefinitely. That's a cool animation! Also: Eraserhead parody

Updated the gif with colour :D [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/7346219/FrinterGIF.gif[/t] that's 8.5 hours workright there, christ this is hard work
I was going to comment on how the mouse click seems too choppy, but I guess it's too late now.
Yeah you're right; when I finish it I'll see if I can find a simple way of inserting frames. Annoyingly I just realised that I've fucked up my layers ready for when I do the top half of the animation because I stupidly tried to cut corners when I shouldn't have. You have to be so crazy organised with your layers when animating :(

Nowhere as amazing as all of the other art here, but still, been working on this abstract piece. :)
A friend of mine helped me get a website for my webcomic. It's still in development, but there are six pages there you can read. Those pages are not the start of the actual story, I made those mainly for practice and to have something on the site atm. I'm still writing the "true" plot. I also scrapped together character descriptions for most of the characters who are gonna be in the final comic. Hope you check it out.
Good art but maybe you could do with a proof reader...
[img] lighting study from one of the scenes in starman (1984) jeff bridges is so hot in this movie
Maybe experiment with bigger brush strokes? Or more rendering perhaps - As is it looks very busy. Freehand, and I feel his eyes are too big.
The image cuts off the buttons at the top of the page when it loads.
The "prev and next" buttons are at the bottom at the page. The buttons at the left clips with the page at some monitors. Those are going to be removed from the pages later.
Maybe experiment with bigger brush strokes? Or more rendering perhaps - As is it looks very busy.
His brush strokes are plenty big, and it's clearly expressionistic. Al the information is there, it doesn't need rendering either. His bg is a bit dodge but the people are great imo.

Haven't painted from reference in a while and I needed the practice: [T]http://fc05.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2014/144/8/6/brushwork_practice_by_boonyboy-d7jj7j9.jpg[/T]
