I've been working mad hard on these master studies. Today I did Carvaggios "David and The Goliath"

And a little extra messing around with brushes and such.

So I decided to make Streethead into a t shirt, seeing as how i've been doing a lot of research on making them and trying to get some extra income. What do you guys think? this was my first one, I messed up pretty bad actually with the spraypaint holding it too long bleeding everywhere + Spatter, i just improvised and made it work. I think it looks ok, next one I do should be better.

Spraypaint? That's not going to hold very well. Try dye-sublimation or screen print instead. It'll also make your life so much easier :wink:

Wanted to draw something all of a sudden and I didn't wanna stare at my computer anymore, so I made this in an hour or so.
Should really get some proper pencils; I only have a mechanical pencil that is 2B or not 2B.

It's fabric spray paint my man, it'll hold. Fabric paint, Spray and Acrylic sticks just fine, all you have to do is wash the shirt inside out on cold wash, and air dry it. No problems after that. I sold 7 so far :)

Worshipped by an ancient Indonesian cult, Kepiting Raja (Crab King), is a God bent on destruction, wrath and world domination. He is considered to be King of the Oceans...

(sorry that it's shtie compared to the other stuff here :c)
Do not mirror!
I wrote (or rather revised) a poem that attempts to sum up my aspirations and the sort of person I one day hope to be. It's not a lot, but I'd appreciate some C&C. I don't know what to title it, really.
We grew up amidst stories of heroes. Comic books. TV. Video games. A childish, wishful thought of courage, strength and honour in a world that can so easily seem cold, selfish and brutal. Growing up means letting go of those ideas, embracing pragmatism, survivalism. When it's time to sink or swim, it's every man for himself. We learn, furthermore, that good and evil don't exist outside our minds, and no two people can agree in complete unity on what is right and what is wrong. There is no army of darkness to stand defiant against, no evil mastermind to thwart. Some people make the mistake of creating enemies in others when there are none to be found, but we know better
That said, I can't shake the way those old books and movies inspire me. This poem, then, was written with my thoughts on the knight, the defender, the hero, from the stories I'd been raised with. Not the most realistic in terms of goals, but hey, it gives me something to keep in mind always.
To be strong, yet ruled by gentle heart,
To bear burdens in silence; without complaint,
To hold courage unyielding against the dark;
And stand steadfast to weather life's storms, fear and pain.
To ask seldom for succor, yet freely to give,
To be fierce in defense of those under my wing,
To wish never to govern how others should live;
But strive ever toward greater understanding.
To be selfless in love; to protect and provide,
To champion the cause of the lost and the weak,
To ever by honor unwav'ring abide,
And never for glory be tempted to seek.
To love peace and scorn war, yet to fight when I must,
To lust not after power but have will fit to lead,
To place my wants last, but through perils go first;
And courage enkindle in hearts of the meek.
This is all that I ask for myself, for this gift;
For this mast'ry of body and mind:
That my strength I may lend to the lives that I love,
And leave never another behind.
It's a cute poem, but "all that I ask for myself" is kinda asking quite a fuckin' lot. To me the rhyme scheme is weak, it feels like you're either just not rhyming at all, or you're really twisting the language to make ends meet. Personally I find it to be a bit needlessly archaic. You can sound wise with modern language, too.
Let me say again, you've got good intentions, but it's just kinda cheesy to write a poem and say "Hey guys just fyi I want to be literally the most moral, best person ever. Wrote a poem about it-- check it." is a bit awkward.
Don't let it deter you though, just keep going and improving. Maybe a lot of people will like it.
So are short stories allowed on this or do I have to make my own thread for that shit?
You can but bear in mind that it's still very much a minority format on FP and few will read/respond to it relative to visual works
Still post it though please

Not sure how you'd feel about it, but I think you should try to recreate that effect in future Tshirts (though obviously through better methods). The blobs and bleed add a bit of visual interest whilst simultaneously making it a tad easier on the eyes now that it is no longer hard black on white.
