I'm kind of late on this, but I feel like I'm in the same emotional boat as Bynine.
Criticism helps me a lot, but then I see all of these people who's opinions I respect and value talking about being frustrated with no one taking their advice, and I feel like if I do post anything I'll just be bothering them. I want to get better and I want to tackle my issues head on, but not if that means I'm frustrating the people who help me do it. So then I don't show my work to anybody, and what happens instead is I end up stagnating. So either way I feel like I'm failing both myself and others.
I don't want to just whine, so here are a couple'a things. The big painting's still a WIP, though that hardly forgives the compositional problems.

idk i wanted to draw my character in a dress and then i spent too much time on it.
I can't draw dresses/most loose clothing in the first places, what's a good way to practice that?

Draw some from photos? Same as anything else :v:
I would also recommend doing some fabric studies, of just wrinkled up fabric so you can get a better idea of how thicker and thinner fabrics fold and such, like these but like.. more of them. I meant to do more but I've been slacking (I'm pretty sure I posted these before when I did them)

Step 1 is knowing what is under the cloth. Assuming you want to draw people and not just loose fabric, go for anatomy first, study fabric behaviour when you have a good idea of the frame it's going to sit on.

Top picture is the one of most interest to me, I advise doing more sketches to strengthen your drawing foundation. Do PILES of sketches. Pages and pages. Sketch traditionally too. A combination of learning by rote, studies and figures/busts from imagination would produce a lot of improvement. Post selected results, stuff that looks wrong but you can't put your finger on why, that sort of thing

Nearly everything I draw is from imagination, so that part won't be hard. My anatomy is way better than that screwed up body sketch by the way, I just sorta threw those lines down.
The loadout system is actually rather neat, the way it works is that the attacking team only has that one car-full of gear for 3 rounds. So you've only got 2 door breaching charges, and if you use them both up then they are gone for the rest of the rounds. This helps defenders plan, because if you know they used up their only wall breaching charge in the first round, then you won't have to worry about them going through a wall in a later round. However, if you survive the round with any gear remaining, you get to keep it, even if it's salvaged from the enemy team. This means that if the defenders grab nightvision goggles from a dead attacker, then they can use them in the next round.
The best is when defenders steal a detonator, because it means that they can detonate any explosives the attackers are trying to plant.
Awesome mechanic. Will buy once it comes out!
How does the drawing on the "map" (i guess just camera on top of the thing?) work? Is it done in 1st person or in that camera?
Knocked out a quickie for this year's father's day card

Last time I'm gonna ask for crit on this then I'm gonna go onto making the 3D assets for it/doing some concept for the little cave in that mountain top.

Just wasting some time.

Your work is so pleasing cepink, but everything you do is more or less a well-developed thumbnail, even your slightly larger pieces.
Have you thought about spending a bit less time on these concepts and then just blowing them up while still at blocking phase so you can flesh them out as proper paintings or drawings?
Sold this for $100. Took like 20 hours to do in total. It was really fun too, all acrylic, paint pens and brushes. "Impending Efficacy"

Not really sure if i should post this here since it's photo manipulation rather than completely original work, but i guess it could be considered "Creative Work" so I'll do it

Made it for a "create an album game" thread on Photoshop Contests a few days ago, and now I'm looking back at it and I feel kinda proud about how it turned out so I decided to come here since Photoshop Contests is almost dead.
This is the original photo by the way, got it from flickr's explore page as part of the game's rules.

I thing using a wider range of line weights would help your compositions, sometimes i feel like it looks too messy and thicker lines would really help with setting up a foreground. Hell, maybe even include some shapes, not only outlines.
And perhaps something not abstract and dull to boot

I don't feel like his work needs any more detail, in fact I think it would be worse for it.
A a piece, it looks really good. Love the style. Sure it would be nice to see some line weight and shapes in a similar piece but as it stands, this one would definitely be worse off with any changes.
Jallen and I were talking about cepink's stuff from last page in case that wasn't apparent

Thanks man! appreciate the critique. It's actually a really hard habit for me to break. haha, I feel like i can nail making it feel balanced, its just a matter of having some thicker likes like you say.

I love lines. lol
Some of my robots that I drew, not the best things in the world, but yeah.

I like the ideas but your canvases are very small. That and you really need to practice your fundamental skills like: line, shape, form and colour to compliment your ideas.
[editline]15th June 2014[/editline]
Someone might want to add to that, I'm no expert and probably around the same level as him.
Probably not really worth showing, but I did some studies last evening to practice anatomy, and I want to ensure I was doing no big mistakes.
Basically went to this site and did series of various length.

I now kinda realize I have a chronic case of chicken lines, I probably should work on solving that.
Also, notebooks are not a very good idea after all, especially when the seams get in the way.

Been trying to practice more on my tablet since it still sluggish.
Don't mind the arms, they are suppose to be as long has his tiny body.
EDIT: Well actually... shit just notice from being thumbed that his arm on the lower one is not right at all. Damn it...
I made the PS1 logo because I was curious if I could in After Effects. Also I made a little video intro I may have posted here before, using it for a video I am producing.
