Oh yeah. I do have something recent. I'm in an art college majoring in animation. Everyone in every major is crunching on their huge final projects. To let off steam, someone suggests we draw spongebob characters in the most fucked up way we can, like those tryhard creepypasta ones you've probably all seen. Quality's shit because they were all digitized with a macbook's built in digital camera. Then again, fidelity wasn't on our minds here. Eh... yeah.
I would be interested to see spongebub's house
Oh, that's him depicted in his house next to the bust in the first pic.
Currently working on two Bioshock projects. A poster and future-ish Dishonored-ish Columbia (I haven't played it yet so no spoilers please)

it's way 2 shitty, i'll try doing it again later.
Yeah
Have you tried non radiant lighting? It looks very out of place against the pixel grid tiles imo. Pretty cool otherwise, are you going to code it yourself and everything?
Yeah
If you don't mind me asking, how do you go about picking your color pallets? I love how you keep things desaturated but still vibrant
Yeah, Cell, your colour pallets always float my boat That side scroller one could use a little bit of variation though, I feel; at the moment it's a bit overly monochrome and I can see it making the game feel a little tight, uncomfortable, etc (in the similar way that games such as Quake feel when you get a power-up or whatever that puts a red filter over the screen).
 done with this for today
Am I allowed to post shit poetry in this thread? Kinda need a bit of critique(a lot of critique) to make my poems less uh Shit
Seeing my skills are dropping at an alerting rate, I decided to go back and take some basic drawing and rendering. [t]http://puu.sh/2N5sa.jpg[/t][t]http://puu.sh/2N5rI.jpg[/t]
Bad values consistencies as well as compositions.. eugh.. [t]http://puu.sh/2LTw7.jpg[/t]
For a LONG time you've been posting these scrappy pencil drawings with PS edits on them; personally I think the look you end up with is pretty ugly most of the time, burning out or colouring areas digitally like you do doesn't compliment the pencil and vice versa. I think that you should either go cold turkey on any post-production and do some serious life drawing (or even photostudies but preferably with more singular subjects, I.E not scenes/landscapes) OR cut the pencil and start learning to paint digitally. I think the first option is probably better though, since you'd be better off going into digital with strong fundamentals. @ this piece, your linework isn't working too well with your shading. In all the shaded areas your marks look like they lack control and there's pretty bad smudging in a lot of places. Reconsider using the side of your pencil at any time, if that's what you're doing. Never use your finger, and use a piece of paper or something under your drawing hand while you work to mask the marks underneath and protect them from getting smudged. Again, draw from life

Also, yeah, my linework has been crappy since I started drawing, I don't know why but my hands/arms get very shaky from times to times. Petting lines is also one of the bad things I have as well as crappy shading when it comes to various light sources. I really need to step my game up or else I'll end up as bad as I was one year ago :( Also, like you said, I need to draw from life more often, if not all the times.

You don't have to be "good enough" to go into digital. I'm an abysmal artist, especially with pencil and pen, but I still paint digitally anyway, because I have a tablet and it's fun. It keeps me motivated to practice the important stuff.
Hey I have a chance to possibly get a 12" cintiq for $500 New Zealand - worth it?
That's a pretty good deal, but for someone like you I'm tempted to say save up for a 22 or 24

Don't forget to post your next drawing :v:

Is this normal? A year ago I would give everything to draw like I'm drawing now, but now I feel like I'm missing something important.
