Ok so my tablet goes to 2048 pressure level whenever my pen is hovering at the very edge of the pick-up area thingy.

Woah look what it just made me do

What tablet?
Huion H610
Driver issue propably
Did you install the drivers before plugging in the tablet? Did you delete any other drivers you might have had? Did you disable the windows tablet drivers?
Sounds like it might be clickin automatically when it shouldn't be. My old Graphire 4 used to do that; it was a pen problem. When the pen got too warm in my hand from just body heat, something inside would expand a tiny bit too much and it would register as series of continuous clicks.
If you can pull out the nib, I'd try doing that then putting it back in to see if it's not just jammed in too far
here's work on the hook horror... before photoshop crashed when i was saving and i permanently lost my file.

i was finished with it too... it had color and all. but when you save it gets rid of the autosave file so i'll have to do another one tomorrow i guess. i wasn't 100% satisfied with this design anyway.
noob question: when you paint something like this, do you just use one shade at different opacities or do you change the shade?

i change the shade.
If I'm painting on white and I'm doing greyscale I use opacity and eyedrop quite often - with single layer greyscale it doesn't matter what technique you use just as long as it works for you
today in: lintz has no fucking idea what he's doing

Costumes count as creativity, right?

I made this costume for a Halloween themed event recently. It's Mr. Foster from Killing Floor.
Here's a drawing of Olan Rogers I did, though I wasn't really able to capture his likeness.

i made an informative animation for a work project using only fcpx assets, effects, and a shitty hose drawn in photoshop

Working a poster for a local Christmas 5K. Frosty is my favorite character I've made on it so far, so here is:

So I made another picture

I think it turned out much better than the first one, but not as good as I was aiming at. Still it was good as a practice. I learned that I have a lot of trouble positioning the ear correctly.
I would really appreciate some feedback and advice.

The eyes looks like they're a tad too high in relation to the ears and the nose, the mouth looks like the he has an underbite when he doesn't, I like the hair and you managed to capture how the one you've drawn looks rather well. I think the forehead could be a bit taller as well, other than that I think you did a decent job!

I̶ ̶w̶o̶u̶l̶d̶ ̶s̶t̶a̶r̶t̶ ̶o̶f̶f̶ ̶d̶o̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶a̶n̶ ̶o̶u̶t̶l̶i̶n̶e̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶w̶h̶o̶l̶e̶ ̶h̶e̶a̶d̶.̶ Practice by filling in, silhouette style, the shapes of heads from the profile view. The most glaring issue right now is that I can tell you started by drawing the contour of the front of the profile, then added the hair after. This has resulted in your forehead being too high, and the slope towards of the back of the skull too steep. The whole skull is actually a bit thin in terms of width. So definitely start by getting the subjects outline down.
As for ear positioning, it's going to vary from subject to subject, that's the joy of the human body. But your subject fits the rule of the top of the ear meets with the pupil. Your drawing has the eye too high up, and the ear too far down. If you were to raise the ear up by have a lobe, and the eye down to match you'd be pretty dead on with your subject. The mouth also needs to be raised. The bottom of the ear almost aligns with the top of the upper lip with him. You also need to push everything below the nose out just a bit more, and reel the nose in towards the face slightly.
Overall, not too bad for a second attempt. Keep practicing on him. Then move on to a new subject. Get profiles down and move on to front facing shots. Just keep practicing and enjoy yourself :).
I would start off doing an outline of the whole head. so definitely start by getting the subjects outline down
i'm not sure it's a good idea to learn by outlines. it's better to do full silhouettes with big charcoal or brushes or whatever and try to understand internal shapes i think. things aren't made of outlines, outlines are just a thing that we see when our brain tries to understand the way light hits objects
or something. i dunno. i'm not a physicist or a biologist and i'm not a good drawer

of course you're not a drawer, you're a human bean.
why would you be furniture?

I took some notes on it if you're interested:

I'd understand that there's only so much you can revise in a graphite medium but this might help for future reference. First off, the photo you're working with isn't that great to begin with (probably single flat lighting, but there are additional subtle shadows that you can look at. I'd also suggest relying less on outlines for the eyes and making the iris smaller just a little bit.
