From person, it looks better. Or that's what I believe...
Yeah that's just a common excuse we all make when we're new to drawing. "The scanner ruined all the detail" "The camera doesn't do it justice" "the quality of the mobile phone is shit".
It's pretty typical to say, but it's never really true. For sure it looks a bit better in person because the colour is more right and you don't have bends in the paper, but a good drawing doesn't become bad when you photograph it, even if from a horrible angle with a shitty camera.
There are a lot of problems with your drawing which comes down to faulty proportions and perspective. The car literally bends and stretches itself, the front part is very long and the back is super compressed, I understand that this is supposed to come from the perspective, that the camera sees more of the front than the back, but that is not what you've drawn.
Maybe you were after the deviantart appreciation thread?
I honestly don't think comments like these are helpful to anyone, and certainly don't belong in a thread about creative work that is not worthy of a thread.
Mocking a persons inability to produce super great work in a thread that encourages poorly done work just doesn't make any sense.

You may not have noticed, but the paper is kinda bended. It's the way I had put it...
Probably it's not what I wanted to do, but that's how it came out. It's not like I'm into drawing alot. I recently started drawing.
Anyway, I really hope that colouring pencils are erasable.

You should stop making excuses. I know it's very easy to do, I have made tons of them myself, but you really shouldn't.
It's ok that your drawing isn't great, your new to drawing and nobody can or will expect you to produce the best work, and you shouldn't expect yourself to create really good work yet either.
You should realize and accept that your drawings will have problems, and instead of making excuses for the problems, instead accept that they are problems and nothing excuses those except your own drawing skills, which is perfectly reasonable. Your work will have faults and that's not a bad thing.
You can't just begin drawing without years of practice and expect to be the new Leonardo Davinci, you will have to draw a lot, find the mistakes in your drawings and try to fix those mistakes in your new works. As you draw more and more and keep noticing your mistakes and try to fix them you will make less mistakes.

I'm not making excuses. If I was making excuses, they'd be way too obvious, and obvious is not the way to go.
What I'm saying is, it certainly isn't perfect, nothing is perfect, but for a guy who doesn't usually draw and recently started, I believe I did an almost good job with it. Everything you said is correct, there are always mistakes, even in mass produced things, like cars (I don't know how that fits here...). I just asked for opinions though, and you gave me a very good one.
At least compared to my other drawings...

You are making excuses, but you don't realize it yourself. I recognize your excuses, they are excuses I've made myself in the past, and I didn't believe they were excuses either. Your attitude, bringing up older work and everything are all things I can totally relate to doing myself.
The bend on the paper has absolutely nothing to do with whether it looks good or not, the bend is very noticeable to see and it is not ruining the drawing in any way. The problem is the drawing itself.
Here, take a look at this and tell me that your wheel is small just because of perspective, or that the paper is bent so it doesn't look as good.
[t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3655193/Cardrawingfaults.jpg[/t]
As you can see there are a lot of things wrong with your drawing, and you can easily see that by comparing your reference image with the drawing you made.
You need to realize that you won't be drawing perfect from the beginning and accept that the things that are wrong are wrong because you drew it wrong, not because of perspective or the paper.
You need to accept the fact that you will draw things wrong and be ok with that, because you will be drawing things wrong for a good time, but as you keep drawing and try to draw better and try to correct the things that are wrong, you will draw less things wrong and become better.

I didn't say my work is flawless, I know I draw things wrong and I'm already OK with that.

If you were ok with it you wouldn't say the wheel is smaller om purpose because of perspective, nor would you say it looks better in person and that the paper is bent. Those are small details you are being picky about to defend your work and make it seem better than it is.
I am not accusing you of thinking your work is great, I am just pointing out that even though you accept that your work isn't flawless, you are still defending it because you still want to believe it is good to some degree so you'll make defensive excuses like that.

Thank you for your constructive criticism, it helped me alot :D
And thank you very much for these diagrams. They'll sure help me in understanding depth better...
At least the wheel was good enough... almost.... not at all... nah whatever... :P
And I like the file name you gave...
Cardrawingfaults2.jpg
Now, is there a way that I can erase the black colouring pencil from a paper? Apparently, I made a mistake on some drawings, and I can't seem to get the colour off.

Instead of trying to fix a broken drawing, start drawing a new one.
Erasing is something you do in the sketch phase. Use light pencils like 2H or 3H or whatever if you want to draw and erase. Then draw the final drawing with a thicker pencil like 2B. (those are just example thicknesses to get the point across. H-series pencil are light and easy to erase, B-series are thick and sticks to the paper).
Also how well something erases depends on how good your eraser is, and what kind of paper you use. Lots of things affect that.

I see. Thank you. It's some half finished drawings that need fixing, not anything big.

Anyway sometimes you don't feel like explaining perspective to someone from the ground up, don't shed tears if I take the piss now and then I do tend to do that :v:
But alright let's turn back the clock

I tried to draw a 1983-86 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS. The rear wheel is small on purpose, it's depth stuff...
Still yet, what do you think of it?
Study perspective
I recommend Scott Robinson, his books are very comprehensive and he's obsessed with drawing cars
There's not much point in anyone giving you crit on geometric objects before you've learnt anything about perspective, you're gonna make tonnes of mistakes and anyone correcting them is just wasting their time.

Creative Work That Doesn't Deserve A Thread, it's literally right in the thread title. Any creative work that isn't even good enough to have a thread can be posted here. It's an open place to post your stuff and maybe get some feedback on it. Just because a lot of people that can draw really well posts here doesn't mean that's the standard for work to be posted here, they just prefer posting their stuff here instead of making threads for it. The only thing that isn't accepted is 5 minute stuff that they didn't put any effort into, the kind of stuff that is usually a parody of shitty mspaint paintings and deviantart quality drawings.
Instead of taking the piss on someone, just ignore them instead. There is no reason to stir up shit and offend people just because you didn't feel like helping them.
dgg I'd very much like this not to turn into you rattling off a series of very long argumentative posts that nobody will read, so without debating further here's my last thought on this profound crisis we find ourselves in

I don't think it has to devolve into such a series of posts. Not being an asshole isn't really hard, and I don't see what one would lose by doing that.

Nice cloud bank and palette in the first one, though the scale of the hills and perspective are a complete question mark
Colours are fucked in the second, looks like you might have done it underexposed with weak colours to begin with and then darkened and saturated the shit out of it to salvage it? the clouds against that royal blue are nice in an abstract way, but having the sky darker than the ground makes no sense, just looks wrong. Also scale/perspective issues.
Thanks for the feedback. I'll look out for the colours next time. Could you elaborate on the scale/perspective issues?
Well the size of the marks you're using in the first one go against what looks like hills set up to be large scale, describing them in hefty separate strokes brings them right up close to the eyes of the viewer. Plus using textural brushwork like that on both the hills and clouds makes it hard to decide what to look at. What's your focal area? What do you want people to look at? And perspective wise there are clouds sitting below where the horizon presumably would be, so the viewer is standing either so high up that they're level with the cumuli (in which case those hills should be snow-capped mountaintops and the atmosphere in the picture a lot thinner) or the clouds are coming out of the ground for some reason but are very clean anyway, or it's the edge of the world or something like that.
In the second one, that row of four trees off in the distance would be absolutely gigantic. Same with the one in the foreground on the right. Even at the very bottom of the picture plane, what we're seeing in this one looks like you'd have to walk a couple of kilometres to enter the frame. You've done a good job with the ground itself in terms of distance, the yellowy hills look quite far-off, the less detailed rolling plain beyond them look like they're waay off in the distance, the mountain would be majestically large if you put some atmosphere between it and the viewer. It's just the trees that break the whole illusion. Also again your markmaking, you've used a lot of complicated and bold strokes for the mountain, which makes it a lot more defined and therefore closer and smaller. The clouds in the background too, the strokes are way too clear for something that's meant to be extremely far away.
