Jinx doesn't strike me as a person who'd flip the bird.
She seems way to happy all the time for that.
Awesome picture nonetheless though.
i remember seeing these. you made an oil of an explosion too right?
Yep, was from my last semester, another syrian scene.

Hello! I've been trying to learn photoshop lately and so I've been making a bunch of (generally pretty shitty) posters. This is the first I've done that I'm even remotely proud of, so I'd love if you could tell me what's wrong with it.

It's inspired by that scene where the cat looks at Brett getting eaten.
I had the 'In space, no one can hear you scream' line above the title, but somehow that made it look like the cat was the alien. Anyway, feel free to tear it apart, I'd love to learn.

How do you get that nice textured ground look?
custom brushes (mostly brushes that imitate charcoal). sometimes i even go as far as using actual terrain textures (wasn't the case for this little piece though).

Finished my "Under Night In-Birth" styled Riesbyfe from Melty Blood. By "Under Night In-Birth" styled I mean using a ton of saturation in shading, ahoge hairs every where, and thighs and leggings. Made a quick background for it.

It's nice but it's not very Alien. Also it's kind of all over the place, each element is dissonant with no repeating language in the proportions or angles or thicknesses or anything like that. So it's very piecemeal design wise.
I like to write things from time to time.
Opinions, thoughts and criticism would be appreciated.
Leonid woke up from the sleepless daze, and for a moment it took his mind to remember and decide on what to do next. He fumbled through the pockets of his mud-drenched uniform, leaning a bit more against the rusted tank, to find his silver pocket-watch. Opening it, the watch had said that the time was six and a half hours of day. The weather was full of gray clouds, chill air and no sign of passage. He put the watch back where he had found it, and checked his other supplies. His rifle had only one magazine left - and Leonid wasn't sure if the thing was jammed or not, he could never tell with his rifle. His rations were already inside his stressed system. The letter that was given to him was soaked by the rain and cold wind.
He was thinking on what to do through this whole day since morning. A fascist sniper had him pinned behind the tank, making Leonid paranoid of his surroundings and possibilities even more - what if the sniper changed his position and had Leonid on scope? Was this the only sniper or were there more German men, coming or waiting for him? Leonid spent his time reminiscing his own past, he was only 20 years old but he remembered and missed his mother, his dad, the school days when he used to...
His thoughts snapped back into a depressing reality of 'now'. He had a letter to deliver, a message that could save countless men from an ambush.
He clenched his jaw and weighted his options, his heart-rate was rising like a rose - the thorns kept his focus from being distracted by other thoughts and the blooming flower poured blood and adrenaline through his body.
He had nothing but his rifle. He was certain that it will shoot.
He ran screaming from around a corner of the tank, mouth open, lungs working over-time, the heart pounding and shaking like an engine of a war machine. He didn't stop running and fell against the hill, dirt and water didn't bother him, it didn't matter when his clothes were already home for mother nature.
His ascend ended with a quietus, the pale, passed sniper didn't move but lay with his rifle pointed at the tank. The magazine was empty and the ration pack was empty of crumbs.
Leonid wandered aimlessly through fields and forests. He didn't think about desertion or duty, he didn't know where to go. He was starving, his body couldn't ignore the fatigue and chill anymore, the blooming rose was lying on the ground with its roots torn out from the wind.
A day later, a passing patrol squad had found the body of Leonid Kalibelnikov. They found a rifle that was jammed, a silver broken pocket-watch with its arrows fixed on six thirty of day, and a letter addressed to their superior officer.
I kinda like how short they are. Reminds me of Insomniac games' art.
what brushes are you using? looks nice.
Mostly a compilation of sketch and oil/watercolor brushes. I can upload them if you want, or you can find them here by yourself .

Kinda disagree, she's exactly this kind of person. She's literally a crazy punk girl, what do you expect? :)
Interesting composition. If anything a little more definition on finer details wouldn't hurt, i.e. like the subtle shading you did for the fur on the head, you can use to define some toes, cloth wrinkles, and tail hair. Also if you don't plan on blending the colors on the background together, using some sort of pattern between each color change can be easier on the eyes, i.e. some kind of jagged interlocking pattern/crosshatching to 'mix' the colors.
Thanks, I'll try to work on some more details as I finish it.
I bet a bunch of people have seen this since its a few years old, but I think it would be super cool to see something like this come to market.

In addition to helping people learn to draw it would be awesome for just doodling for inspiration. Or like you see in the video you could draw one chair for a piece you're working on, then change your mind much quicker than you could without this kind of assistance.

But she's not that kind of crazy. She seems child-like to me, not a punk going through a stereotypical phase.
A child with access to loads of guns and explosives.
But this is not the thread for this debate, I'll shut up now.
I FINALLY GOT CS6

This is pretty cool. Planes need more constrast with the background though. They kind of merge with it because of similar colour palette. Some warm colours would probably solve this, i think.

Friend wanted me to make some promo art for his Street Fighter/Every Fighting Game in existence/"Lets Get Wasted"/ Weekend Party:

I recently started using my tablet to do digital painting and this is where I've got up to, I figure I'm going to leave it for a while and start doing some studies on specific features or items, any feedback or suggestions would be great.
