Bored, I was trying to perfectly fit stuff on my desktop's wallpaper into the Windows' selection thingy, and one print screen later, this happened:

Huh...
Need some tips and advice.
This short thing is going to be put into a music video. There's Drone footage in the works for a much better starting point to the thing.

Anyone have any tips on how to make this look better?
Ah, the shakey cam, the spin, the weirdly small cloud layers. I know a 1:1 videocopilot tutorial test video when I see one. You really gotta use those things as a jumping-off point, not just tweak the end result a little and release it, I mean there's hundreds of videocopilot earth zoom intro videos out there that all look exactly like that.
also this

I know, but I had so little time to do it that I couldn't improvise, nevermind my lack of skill in After Effects.
The music video just got published.

He was happy with it anyway - I may not have been but as long as Client's (as such, he's a friend more than anything) happy then so am I.
Yeah I know it was straight clone from Video Copilot but I didn't know of any ways to improve it - hence why I asked. When he described what he wanted it was exactly as the tutorial did it.
I've decided to try and force myself to pick up my two year old tablet and actually make an effort at learning to draw. I used to use Paint Tool SAI, is that still a good one to use?

This is my tablet, a Wacom Intous3. Nothing amazing but it should suit my beginner needs just fine until I build up some obvious talent and justification for a more expensive one. Sorry if this is in the wrong thread and thanks for your help! I couldn't find a more relevant thread...
You're better off drawing in a sketchbook. It's easier and will help you be less precious, which is really important early on
A friend and I started a series talking about theatre but we've been having trouble getting it off the ground. Still making episodes though.

He does the writing and speaking and I do the filming and editing.
Sitting the module or whatever it is on the bottom of the frame like that is reaaaally bad compositionally

I think classic fantasy in modern Eastern European setting would be totally rad.

Sometimes when you wake up you forget where you are for just a split second. Since I've been at college I've been experiencing that feeling a lot, so I tried to capture that mystical moment in this digital painting/drawing

Inspired by the album of the same name by Boards of Canada, which is about nuclear holocausts. I feel like I should possibly lower the hexagons, though.
lower the watermark too
lower it into HELL

Lower it so much that its just not there...because no one is going to steal this. Its nice, but I don't know (if it was stolen) anyone would do with it.
However, Boards of Canada have denied that Tomorrow's Harvest deals with post-apocalyptic themes, stating "it is about an inevitable stage that lies in front of us."
And ditch the watermark, too.

It's the default DA watermark, can't control how prominent it is.
Why the hell anyone would ever use it on the other hand is another question. I cringe a bit whenever I have to put watermarks on my work by commissioner request, and fade them out as far as possible and keep it decently readable.

Add an enormous watermarking fee

Nice lighting/shading. Anatomy could use a touch up though.

That's a lot of different kind of animations, both thematically and how they animate.
The top text is burnt in with solar flares
The top text gets glowing lines that disappear really fast and then gradually much slower.
The lines gradually grow, and oddly stretches out too much before it retracts. (make it smoother, you have frames to use)
The bottom text fades in.
Then the entirety of it disappears in a snow haze.
That's 5 completely different animations on a single coherent piece. I think that's absolutely overkill and makes it very busy to look at. I would personally have made it a lot calmer by using 1-2 effects on the entire piece and then blowing it away with the snow/dust/particles.
