He's been trying to make a game for years I think
Actually he's made several. Probably his most recent: http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-30/?action=preview&uid=3295 It doubles as an demonstration of his incredible speed:
7 hours and 32 minutes used on code. (game maker 8.0) 17 Minutes used on art. (paint.net) 4 minutes used on music. (FL Studio) 8 minutes used on sound effects. (bfxr)

You mean forged right? If that's a 3D render I may just have to leave.
Yeah it's forged, made it out of some old horse shoe I found in the barn on my property.
A while ago I made this book cover for one of my mom's old books that she's getting put on like amazon books or something [t]http://i.imgur.com/RR3Lmt1.png[/t] Before she sent it off to the publisher or whoever, I touched it up and made it not boring [t]http://i.imgur.com/mbVkYTu.png[/t] How'd I do?
I guess this is the best place to ask for help. I'm trying to get better as an artist, cuz right now I'm pretty bad. I can copy a picture to a certain degree and be kind of happy with it, but I'd rather draw something original, not unreferenced, just put a subject in a new position, new angle, different facial expression etc. I try this and end up with something distorted and unnatural. It's like I can't get a good idea of what something looks like. Sorry if I can't explain this very well, kinda hard to put into words. Could anyone recommend any sort of exorcises or something to start with? I'm at a loss here and would really appreciate it.

I hope I never have to do another life size figure drawing again this year. Currently overdosing on coffee and trying to finish this bastard by tomorrow morning. One arm looks bigger than the other. Maybe it's the angle.

It's because in order to do that you need the capacity to imagine 3D forms and expressions in your head, and that can take a lot of anatomy study to get them 'memorized'. But Lilyo has the right idea in where to start if that's where you want to go, there are plenty of tools online for strict anatomy practice if you look for it. Also shameless plug in for my own thread, a new Redline/Critique thread is up if anyone needs help with their artwork: http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1423201

Name also feels claustrophobic between the two corner symbols This is only for ebook use right? Im pretty sure but just incase if it is going to be printed you need some extra clearance on the edges for cropping during print It looks a bit amateur, but it certainly looks better than a lot of the ebook covers since that has become popular
It's so fucking creepy having a life size version of me just hanging out behind me on my wall. Every time I look over my shoulder i'm just staring at myself E: me and my crew [t]http://i.imgur.com/br6RH6w.jpg[/t]
[t]http://i.imgur.com/br6RH6w.jpg[/t]
The torso looks really small.
