What's with the pair of Kinects on his shoulders?
In case of an emergency, it copies the movements of a more highly skilled combatant in hopes of blocking each attack until the enemy is exhausted.

I feel like you guys are making way too much of a fuss out of colouring a lineart... its really not that complex.
I feel like you guys are making way too much of a fuss out of colouring a lineart... its really not that complex.
or you could just paint without lines :v:
there really isn't a artist question thread or anything but how can you make a living off of art(besides more practical arts such as designing stuff or making pottery) if it isn't graphic design or making animations(and even then, how do you even make a living then, it seems few and far between that artists make a break at all, for those that attempt, there is only a small list comparatively) is it even realistic to expect a living wage
http://www.theartoffreelancing.com/ [editline]1st October 2014[/editline] in short: yes but you have to be very good and it takes a long time to get good enough and have enough contacts to do it full-time and also a lot of skill in communicating with people [editline]1st October 2014[/editline] expect to work 4 days a week in a coffee shop for a while
Are there any pistol type guns that the bullet shell flies out as you're firing them?
Are there any pistol type guns that the bullet shell flies out as you're firing them?
I think pretty much all pistols except revolvers and single shot guns do that. The Colt 1911 and Glock 18 are some examples.

it'll go great with my gamer goggles
Can anyone recommend a good figure drawing book? or glove
idk if this counts as art, but i drew this the other night in the falling sand game while stoned it's supposed to be boulder, colorado with the flatirons whatever
I think pretty much all pistols except revolvers and single shot guns do that. I would recommend you guys try the luminance (L) slider in Lab color instead of Hue (H) in HSB when trying to find values if you haven't already. Learning to use both can be really helpful since lab color luminance does a very good job at replicating real life value shifts (it changes the hue, saturation, and brightness in order to give you a value range for a specific color component based on luminance alone). Uh, I'm a bit embarassed to be posting this here, but you guys inspire me so much, so, uh, have it: [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/6ShnhRK.png[/thumb][thumb]http://i.imgur.com/cgvLViM.png[/thumb] I'm sick and tired of friends saying that these are well drawn so I'm obliged to bring it here. And I know that the wings in the first one are screwed, it's not like I'm constantly practicing. So, guys, should I drop the pencil?
Did this today in photoshop, It's just based on an outline of the art but the erasing took several hours [t]http://i2.minus.com/ibXgN6MJQlsz1.png[/t] It's for a background for a flash animation
Some pixel art. Supposed to be an application logo for a game project of mine in progress.

The edge of his shadow, holy shit [editline]3rd October 2014[/editline]
Can anyone recommend a good figure drawing book? or glove
http://www.alexhays.com/loomis/ Also Bammes, Richer, Hampton I suppose.. There are dozens of books but Loomis is pretty essential in my opinion and a very good place to begin as well due to the presentation.
What do you mean? The wall? It's just how the brush looks on low opacity, it's hardly important. This is the first time I even looked at it since i put the colors down.
So, guys, should I drop the pencil?
Don't be so dramatic haha If you truly want to improve in art, then you should be 'constantly practising' but it's good that you're drawing anyway, I've recently started to learn how to draw properly but haven't put pencil to paper for years you just need to work out all the fundamental art principles, for example the letters in the left picture should curve to conform to the body's cylindrical volume rather than being flat, buy a couple books and read em I guess
What do you mean? The wall? It's just how the brush looks on low opacity, it's hardly important. This is the first time I even looked at it since i put the colors down.
Yes clearly you aren't seeing the issue since you're doing it over and over again :v: using lots of texture to paint something will draw the eye to whatever that is. So stop painting superfluous things like the cloth the subject is sitting on or the shadow on the wall behind the subject with really visible texture. Think like you're photographing, are you focusing your lens on that shadow in the background, making it really crisp and eyecatching? You shouldn't be, it's a picture of the dude so make him the focus and drop off in detail elsewhere

Your model also looks really stiff, balance curves with curves. Also push the pose! Here have a 30 minute speed paint of kanye [t]http://i.imgur.com/ho2W0TM.png[/t]

I think they should install a camera on the back of the glove and a screen on the front of it so you can see through your hand while drawing. Also a cup holder.
I really want a glove with a cupholder now, so I can use my fingers to hold one cup and then use the cupholder to hold TWO CUPS WITH ONE HAND AND ZERO EFFORT.
Good luck drinking successfully while holding two full cups in one hand :v:
