Made my first ever Flash Animation for class on Wednesday. [t]http://puu.sh/c2jjB/8158ba0d56.gif[/t] I know it ain't great but could you guys give me some pointers?

I recommend using less blacks, colors can create contrast too and often better than black. Look at paintings by Sargent for example.
I recently bought a monoprice drawing tablet the moderately sized one with hotkey buttons on top and left. It's fit to the size of my screen and adjusting drawing size isn't the issue however when drawing every time I lift a little and move my placement over it goes crazy. And proceeds to make a line going off to some other random area of the area I am drawing on. After adjusting the pressure sensitivity still does the same thing. Not sure if this is a good area to ask about this but you all seem like smart folks in this subject so any help for a rookie like me would be lovely ! Thanks

It is a number of tutorials made by one of the best animators an youtube, and they cover some basic frame-by-frame animation techniques.
Have you tried using the second pen it comes with? I've had that happen although very rarely, I couldn't say what causes it. Have you checked for debris under the screen cover?
Thanks for replying quick, it actually doesn't have a screen cover at all! It's called the Monoprice 10X6.25 Inch Graphic Drawing Tablet w/8 Programmable Hot Keys on amazon and the tablet part is open faced with buttons on the left hand side . It's really fidgety when lifting the pen from the tablet, and it didn't come with a second pen either . From drawing on the bottom left just lifting the pen from the surface makes the cursor fly from corner to corner sometimes and making drawing realllly annoying. Being a beginner I know theres a lot to get use to but damn does that get frustrating.
Nicee, would be cool to see what the inspiration for the windows were (unless it's just from pure creativity).
Its mostly inspired and supposed to resemble byzantine architecture, which used archs a lot and sometimes had those circle like windoes (but very rarely).

How was that made, exactly?
How was that made, exactly?
3D software, a scattering plugin, the vRay render-software, and Photoshop for POST. I can get technical but I'm not sure how much help that'll be.

Blender is actually really good. Some of our lecture slides the other day included screens from blender was well as references to tutorials done in it.

Always wanted to get into it to make wallpapers and cool back drop's as Sweetswifter has done .
Playing with dirt. Hair is obviously standing out at this point.
i would say that her torso doesn't really uh have the correct curvature of a torso. it's more like a flat box right now
Nice, not keen on the dirt though.
Yeah, I kind of knew that I will have to tune it down eventually... Rather than ramping it up slowly, I decided to go all the way, then find a balance point. [editline]7th October 2014[/editline] Tried some blending:
some inktober vomit ~awesome stuff~
what type of pens/markers do you use for these?
For that just different size micron pens. The others an ink wash for the grey tones.

But he does have a point, I still think you have a rather crudely developed way of coloring and shading. It seems very high schoolerish, idk. It's fine to have a stylized way of doing things but you should probably be doing it on purpose which I don't think you are, it's just your default right now. Your drawings are just so nice and then they fall apart when you try to move to shading which is a shame. I would experiment with different things first, AND DO STUDIES god damn it. Take some nice paintings you like and look what other people are doing with textures and colors. I don't think I've ever seen you post some nice color studies or just studies in general, I think you care too much about the idea of a finished piece rather than the process to get there (idk if you're doing this for someone or just for yourself but you still need to spend more time on the process rather than the whole piece). I can't recommend specific people to look at since I mostly follow environmental artists but [t]http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gXQpXb2JRrc/T9CP4-JRUlI/AAAAAAAALKM/pncwYBskPBo/s1600/Sargent.henry-james_sm.jpg[/t] [t]http://static.squarespace.com/static/53ef08c8e4b015b9c369bddd/t/54268e26e4b007ffd6b67eee/1411812904878/?format=1000w[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/l7dK3SG.jpg[/t] [t]https://fbcdn-sphotos-c-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xap1/t31.0-8/10655238_1519255541643480_5401595693097783743_o.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/oRS2zhf.jpg[/t] [t]https://fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xap1/t31.0-8/q86/s960x960/10498065_10203419464361605_5221889324220689208_o.jpg[/t]
Referenced studies off http://humanae.tumblr.com/ of which I won't post the direct references to so I can make myself look better.

You are totally right-- I need need to do studies. I did do one photo study, a long while back... Haven't done any style study yet...
