A photo of mine once got put on Tumblr. Thankfully it linked back and ended up becoming one of my top 5 most viewed photos. If they haven't linked or given credit then yeah, get it removed.
it linked back to his DA
as far as i know if someone reuploads your work you can ask tumblr to delete it and have all the reblogs deleted too

while it's annoying i think that'd be pretty spiteful and counterproductive

i dont think its spiteful at all since artist deserves credit for their own work but yeah i can agree on counterproductive if its vs nobody seeing the vs bunch of people seeing the art with no credits
This is what you have signatures / watermarks for. I have found myself appreciating signatures or watermarks (that are non-intrusive and just hidden away, shoved into the corner or incorporated into the art in some way) for just this reason. To find the source. Reporting people on tumblr or asking them to take down their tumblr posts because it has your work in it is silly. It's Tumblr, it's a site that lives on sharing a bunch of random images other people have made. The sole purpose of the site is re-posting stuff. Give them a note and ask for a link to your tumblr or whatever to be in the post or something if you really don't like it.
I'm trying to improve my coloring, any recommendation? [t]http://fc03.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2014/299/0/1/harime_by_batisa-d848v77.png[/t]
choose a definite light source don't be afraid to keep your shadows contrasted to your midtones shade towards another colour rather than black, in your case, shadows would look better if they had red hues to them
I think he should focus on drawing better first rather than mess around with colours
I think he should focus on drawing better first rather than mess around with colours
working on a range of technical proficiencies at once is fine
Does anyone have any good ways to learn anatomy? I've been avoiding it for too long. Should I just do studies of people in different poses and paint musculature? I have a ton of anatomy resources but I don't know how to go about actually learning it
working on a range of technical proficiencies at once is fine
Not if you can't draw well to begin with, that should be your whole focus initially

That would be trying to learn from observation alone, which is slow and hard as shit. Read books, you need to understand your subject. if you're not aware of loomis by now there's no hope for you
the result of a fruitful uni lecture the arm is a litte short, and there are some other disproportions. but fuck it
First time coming to this part of the site. I made this a while ago: You guys think it would work as a T-Shirt? I was looking for ways to earn money for being able to afford college food.
no no one in their right mind would purchase that
no no one in their right mind would purchase that
Fair enough. I think I will try to make a new game instead, but time hasn't been a friend of mine recently.

That way you'll be able to see how each muscle and bone effects the actual body and skin in your first drawing.
I was bored.

I had forgotten :v: Just finished this sketch for Sketch_Dailies, and I got this composition working. Barren cloud landscapes are too difficult for me [IMG_thumb]http://th09.deviantart.net/fs71/PRE/i/2014/300/f/6/one_of_everything__mostly__by_imtth-d84d7ig.png[/IMG_thumb] Composition needs value work and the giant needs a less generic body [IMG_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/UuYFgvP.jpg[/IMG_thumb]

If you find yourself quitting and switching to some other endeavor every time you attempt to do something and find yourself met with the reality that you weren't immediately the best at it that you planned on being, you might not end up getting anything done ever.
How do you guys shade with a pencil? Every time I attempt to, I end up with a inconsistent, sloppy mess. Is there a technique to it or am I just bad?
Finished up some more promo art for the next Insurgency update. [t]http://i.imgur.com/fQjyi3w.jpg[/t]
How do you guys shade with a pencil? Every time I attempt to, I end up with a inconsistent, sloppy mess. This works best for colored pencils, IIRC.

Circles might work as Corndog Ninja suggested, I was always taught to "crosshatch" my shading, start one direction then turn at an angle to that to continue with the next layer, never scribble your shading just left to right or something, layer it with diagonal and vertical strokes as well.

Do studies to learn how to color, shade, and differentiate values and practice drawing.
