Little speed study of a Monrovia street...
Nice atmosphere
I made an animation after being bored of doing studies.

I might do some studies on planes and pilots now so that I could put in the details for this animation
I drew these

The second one is supposed to be Pitchford but im no master art person guy.
It looks a bit much like a bullet exiting out the other side of their head for my taste, but the art style itself is well stylized, I think it's good.
yeah i was trying for that intense manga effect but i guess its a bit confusing looking, but thanks for the critique
I'm afraid I'll have to oppose biscuit in the camp of not thinking it's very good at all
They're good drawings but the likeness (at least on Gaben) isn't that great
Oh I didn't know they were supposed to be specific people, if that's so you did miss the mark a bit there.
oh they're meant to be PEOPLE? oh well then
Say,how do I manipulate only the frame I want to change in photoshop?
When I try to move around stuff it'll just move every drawing I've made in the video layer I've used
Are there any tutorials on how to do proper shading using ink?
ink drawings rarely have "shading"
if you use lines use quite fine and consistent marks I would suggest
You can also do washes with ink and water and a brush, that looks nice and is very inexpensive, so long as you aren't concerned with the paper quality. The water will soak and buckle the paper to some small degree but unless it's a masterpiece it doesn't really matter, and if it's in a sketchbook that you close afterwards it should end up flat enough

Sorry, I meant hatching
Denser hatching for dark areas, less dense for light. It's best used in moderation. Not sure about actual patterns though.

May i ask what you didn't like and how i could change it?
Is it a good idea to mix cross hatching and (normal) hatching?
Is it a good idea to mix cross hatching and (normal) hatching?
From what I've seen, sometimes people use normal hatching to define texture, then cross hatching to show where a shadow falls. I could be mismistaken though

I think you might learn more by testing things out and seeing how they work rather than asking for stuff like that
Not sure where to put this but I guess it counts.
I posted a prompt on /r/WritingPrompts five months ago, didn't think much of it. Got a message on reddit today from a guy saying "About 6 months ago, you made a thread. I love that idea and wanted to turn it into something longer. I know this isn't necessary, but I wanted to PM you and just make sure you're cool with me using that idea."
So I said "Yeah sure do whatever"
And he said "Okay cool, I'm 55,000 words in. Should be 80,000 by the time I'm done, I'll let you know when it gets published."
what the fucking shit
Nice story but you could tell us what the prompt was??

It's a meta story. The prompt is this, and our replies are going to become the novel.

The style
You could look at good artists and observe how they describe things visually

Good to know that I have taken centre stage as the main character right from the off

Guess that would make me the character that always breaks the fourth wall.
The odd part was the author's direction for us to break the fourth wall within the first chapter. Sort of just throws the entire novel full swing into action without much exposition.

I do not understand what the shite is going on with this.

Ahh, and here is the character that will not accept that he is a fabrication of the author's mind.
So these happened last night (this is the only response)

Dude. You seriously did all that in one night? Seriously impressive.Big fan of the 2nd and 2nd last ones; they're gorgeous.
Yeah, good job. Really like some of the concepts and techniques you have going on there!

I think, therefore I am.
